    I ordered this top link from Tractor Supply. It arrived in less than a week. I followed the instructions and the dang thing worked perfectly the first time. That never happens for me. I believe it was a Festivus Miracle!!!

    Excellent “How-to” video. Recently purchased CK 3510 with rear hydraulics. I’m confident that now, even I can fit a hydraulic top link to my machine. Thanks!

    Have a 6 month old CK3520 and just ordered a new box blade. Also have Pat's instead of the quick hitch so got SPH320033 Hydraulic Top Link Cat. 1-1 with Locking Block 20 7/8” - 31 7/8” which is a couple of inches longer with 11 inches of travel. Amazon had it for $204 with the hydraulic hoses. I think the Pat's adds about 3 inches, and this saves me from getting a new manual top link.
    Really like your channel, and am now a subscriber. Thank you for posting, and have to love these Kioti tractors.

    Great video - thanks for taking the time and effort to make it!
    I have a DK5310SE. I went back and forth about which cylinder to get, and I ended up ordering the 6004 based on a review I read about it on the Tractor Supply web site. The reviewer also has a DK10SE series tractor and says it worked properly. Hopefully there is some geometry difference between the DK and the CK series tractors - after seeing your video, it looks like the 6004 would be too long and you would lose a fair amount of forward rotation with it.
    I'll post an update after I size it up on my tractor so everyone can see which size works better on a DK10SE series machine.

    • @theElderberryFarmer
      @theElderberryFarmer 3 года назад +1

      I ended up going with the 6003 (18 1/8 inch) top link. It is a closer match (to within about 1/4") of my existing turnbuckle-style top link. It worked out great with both my rotary cutter and my box blade, giving me plenty of throw in both directions. Note also that the unit did not require any grinding to fit on my DK5310SE. There is plenty or room on the tractor end for the top link to fit in the bracket (maybe a little too much; but that's how the original top link fit also).

      @@theElderberryFarmer Hey Dwight, recent owner of the same DK5310SE. I too want to install a hydraulic top link and want to be sure that I am getting the correct model cylinder as well as quick connector. Can you please help and provide me with what you ordered for yours?

    • @theElderberryFarmer
      @theElderberryFarmer 3 года назад

      @@DH-ik1vf Sure - I ended up with the 6003 top link and the 67852 hose set from Tractor Supply. They worked out perfectly, with no grinding of any kind needed.

      @@theElderberryFarmer Thanks so much. I have been searching for the past 30 minutes on Tractor Supply but can't seem to locate the 6003 cylinder. Would you happen to have a link for it and the hose set? Or maybe the TS item numbers from your order?

    • @DH-ik1vf
      @DH-ik1vf 3 года назад

      Tractor supply no longer carries the 6003 cylinder. I think that I found it on Amazon here. Btw, it comes with the hose set.

      A HST is ok for light work like simply mowing grass or lots of back and forth in a yard. Go with a shuttle shift if you need to do real power work. We learned the hard way.

    I keep both sizes because I put my Bucket on the rear when I use my front snowblower and that way I can dump the bucket with the longer top link.

    Do be aware to not always believe your Local TSC "expert" for hoses. My local stores guy tried to give me a standard tapered thread to go into the cylinder. He said, "That'll work." Ah, no thanks. Mine, like yours was British standard, straight thread into the cylinder assembly. It you use tapered fittings into a British standard you will probably have leaks and screw the threads up. If you can't get the correct hoses at TSC via a kit, go to a hydraulic fitting/hose supplier.

    • @meadsoutdooradventures

      It seemed like the lines were too long, but the top link has a great deal of movement up and down, so I wouldn't want the hoses shorter. It will just take some tweeking til you get it to work

    • @meadsoutdooradventures
      @meadsoutdooradventures  2 года назад +1

    Thank you for the great video. I've got the same tractor, so question around the 6003 or 6004, seems like you have quite a bit of articulation with the 6003, especially tilting it up. I think with the 6004 you would loose quite a bit of that tilt up capability correct?

    • @meadsoutdooradventures
      @meadsoutdooradventures  3 года назад +2

      In my opinion, I would get the 6004 if you have or plan to get the Pat's easy change system. Otherwise, the 6003 works great.

    • @meadsoutdooradventures
      @meadsoutdooradventures  3 года назад

      The "box" on the cylinder the hoses attach to is a check valve. Due to the weight of the implement, it is trying to race the fluid. I just lower the cylinder slowly to minimize it.

  • @warrior4-u
    @warrior4-u 3 года назад

    Got the same one as you, installed this weekend. Mine is very “jerky” when extending it outward. Smooth retracting, but can’t get it to extend smoothly. Is yours like that?

    • @meadsoutdooradventures
      @meadsoutdooradventures  3 года назад +2

      Yes. The problem is the weight of the attachment wants to pull it down, and the check valves are trying to stop it, causing the jerkyness. I just extend it slowly to avoid it.
