My Kioti has never let me down in the 7 years I've owned it. DS45SE HST. Not sugarcoating that Adam, it's just always been there for us. Keep up your videos. Todd in NH.
Nice to hear about you interaction with your local Kioti dealer and they went out of their way to make the repairs as painless for you as possible. Also nice to hear that you took responsibility for some of the problems you had with the tractor. A lot of people can only point their fingers at someone else when problems arise. Two days without a tractor sounds like pretty fast repairs to me. Love your channel. Keep up the good videos.
Thanks for your honest assessment of your Kioti. I bought a CK4010se HST (cabbed) in early 2019. It's been awesome and has done everything I've asked it to do. I'm at 260 hours and haven't had any major issues. My local dealer (Byron PowerSports in Byron Georgia) has been very good to deal with. I'm within 15 minutes from them and they delivered it for free. Also, they came and picked it up and returned it after the first 50 hours for the initial check. I performed the 200 hour service myself but bought all the filters and fluids from my local dealer. In middle Georgia I've really enjoyed the cab and AC. Yeah, I know there are purists out there who like the open station tractors and that's fine. But with severe allergies along with our 95+ degree heat in the summers, I really enjoy the cab. It allows me to work anytime around the clock. Even at night when our huge skeeters come out to suck blood. Anyways, thanks again for your post on Kioti. I did a lot of research before I bought including sitting in many brands of this size. None of them had the features for the same price as Kioti.
Nice im going to go look at a 2017 ck4010 hst cabbed with 193 hrs on thursday good to read good comments because i dont know anything about tractors lol
I own an eleven year old JD 4520 with just over 2000 hours. Two years ago way beyond warranty I had a major failure to the tune of $2000. While it took awhile the dealer fixed it and I was not charged a penny. Excellent dealer and manufacturer support.
I purchased a 2021 Kioti NX5510 HST with cab, front end loader with 3rd function for my Rock grapple and snow plow blade. Also have the backhoe with hydrolic top link. First I want to say I love my tractor as it has been able to handle everything I need to do without and issues. I completed the 50 hour filter changes as required. First problem that I had was I noticed the backhoe buck was not tight and it moved at the attachment points when used. Come to find out they put the wrong bucket on my NX5510. The one they put on belonged on a Ck tractor not a NX series. They sent a service truck out and made the correction on site at no cost to me. Great Serivce so far. Next problem was. I got a recall letter Kioti advising me the backhoe dipper boom did not meat Kioti standards and that it had to be replaced. Again they sent out a service truck and took care of the the problem with no charge to me. Now starts the problems with the service manager at the dealer ship. At 151 hours on the tractor it would not start. Serivce manager tells me it’s the starter relay or the starter itself and that they would have to come and pick it up. (Keep in mind the tractor is still under full warranty. I asked what this was going to cost and was advised $100.00 to pick it up and $100.00 to then return it after the repairs. (I had been advised at the time I purchased this tractor that the cost would only be $40.00 each way. That was only 11 months ago). When I brought that to the Serivce managers attention he said that was then and the price is now what it is. I asked him to just send out a service truck to make the repair at which I was told no we need to make the repair here to put in a warranty claim and we need to run a diagnostic scan to make sure everything is ok. I asked why can’t you bring the diagnostic scanner with the service truck and was advised that’s not the way we do things here. So now I’m stuck with a tractor that won’t start and a service department manager that clearly just want to make $200.00 for the dealership. So I agree to have them pick up the tractor. They send a truck and trailer to my location. The trailer was to small and without a winch to even be able to load the tractor. At that time the driver (who just happened to be the salesman that sold me the tractor). Called the service department and advised he is not able to load the tractor. I asked the driver to ask if they have this part in stock. It was the safety control module which is located from inside the cab. Behind the right rear wheel. (It is a simple plug and play item). The Serivce manager advised that yes he had that part in his hand after checking. It was agreed over the phone at this time that I could go to the dealership and pick up the part. I went right up to the dealership and after waiting at the counter for over 20 minutes for the service manager to hand me the part he finally came out and advised me he could not give me the part. He said he tried calling my cell phone to tell me this but I did not answer. (My cell phone showed no incoming calls from him when I checked. He has stated this same thing serial other time that he tried to call me but there was never anything showing any incoming calls from him. He could have also left a message or emailed me but he did not.) I asked him what happen that he can’t give me the part. He said it has to be installed at the dealership and that I was not a service tech. At this point smoke might have been seen coming out of ears. I told him I was not leaving without the part because I knew from my research that that was the problem. I even showed him text messages from other Kioti NX5510 owner that had the same problem and when they called the dealership was advised that they were aware of the problem and even mailed the part to them without charge. He said he will have to check with the owner which he did and and then came back and handed me the part reluctantly as he said if the tractor starts we will come an pick it up so we can make sure everything else is ok. I advised him I would call him as soon as I get home after installing the part. I left the dealership. Went home plugged the part in and the tractor started right up. I called the service manager right back and he said he would get back to me by the next day to make arrangements to pick it up. (He never called me back after that, and I was glad about that.) I have put 30 hour on my tractor since installing the safety control module without and further starting issues. Now a get another letter from Kioti stating there is a recall and mandatory upgrade on my tractor. They want to install two additional grounding straps and up grade the HST controller software. In this letter it clearly states the following. “THIS SERIVCE CAN BE DONE ON SITE AND DOES NOT REQUIRE YOUR TRACTOR TO BE TRANSPORTED TO THE DEALERSHIP “ So I call and speak with the service manager about getting this done. I was advised that they would have to pick up the tractor to complete this upgrade at the dealership. I then read him the letter from Kioti about this service can be done on site and did not require to be transported to the dealership. He then advised me that’s not the way we do things here and that it has to be done at the dealership. At that point I simple advised him that he and I are simply not on the same page and I would simply like to speak with the owner seeing that he cannot seem to make the right decisions when it comes to treating and taking care of their customers. He said he would advise the owner to give me a call. My tractor now has 200 hours on it and I am still waiting for that call from the owner. I now plan on going to the dealership and try and speak with the owner about getting the mandatory upgrade done. I have to now do the 200 hour Serivce so I need to pick up filters and oil’s. Sorry for being so long winded but this is the first time I’ve spoke out about my dealership experience. I’m hoping they will do the right thing and stop trying to get $200.00 every time my tractor needs service when it is still under warranty and they have several service trucks to handle these issues. If you have any advise please feel free to send it my way. Lou from Rhode Island
Lou, is your Kioti dealer a 5-Paw dealer?? It sure doesn’t sound like it. I’ve heard that a lot of the run of the mill Kioti dealers are garbage, but you never hear of that with the 5-Paw rated Kioti dealers.
Great video. Talked to the guy that worked on our tractor and he has helped me a lot for free. When we did take it to him because it was used and we wanted to have him look things over, change oil and some other small things he said you can pay me to take off your loader or you can take it off, all he wanted was the tractor so he saved us some money there. If people would think ahead you can save the mechanic some time and effort by doing some small things if you take off the loader unless it need worked on or not have anything on the 3 point hitch. Thank you and have a great day
Two years ago this month I bought a new Kioti DK5310se. I now have 334 hours on it. I have a sawmill 3 man operation and we use this tractor every day in the yard loading and unloading heavy logs and we really punish it. We have had a couple of minor issues but they were caused by own own actions. The dealership jumped on it right away and made the repairs so we were back up and running. I had another Kioti for 12 years prior to this one and it was a great tractor also. When I sold it I got back what I paid for it also. They are great tractors, they last a long time and hold their value. Stigler Mill has been a really good dealer. My Kioti runs circles around the neighbors green, blue and red tractors!!!
I bought 2 Kioti tractors within a year (2019 & 2020). I use these things commercially and they work hard. I currently have 900 and 700 hours on them. We have only experienced problems with the front axle. Unfortunately we have had multiple problems with the front axle on both tractors - drain plugs working loose, seals tearing/leaking. Currently both tractors are at the dealership having the front axles completely rebuilt (1 had a bearing shred that wiped out the pinion gear, other had a snap ring break and cause havoc inside as the pieces went through the gears) I will say the dealership has been great and Kioti has stood by their warranty and are fixing all the issues but loosing the income from both machines for most of the summer (takes a long time to get parts from Korea) has been a major toll on the wallet that I will consider before buying another. Thank you for your video as my rear differential on my CK3510 will not engage either and my dealership did not know it was a common issue but I will be bringing it to their attention.
Sounds like you've had good luck with your tractor, AND with your dealer. We can't expect any more than that! Enjoyed the video. Really liked the shallow depth of field for the headshots :-)
My brother has a 40 horse Kioti and a 25. The 40 has 1300 hrs now. Only problem has been the ignition switch, replaced twice under warranty. He uses the tractors to build horse trails and hiking trails in the Mountains. It's a very harsh environment for equipment, so 1300 hrs with only a minor problem is quite amazing.
Hey Adam, I purchased my subcompact Kioti CS 2210 from Lamb & Webster in 2018. Absolutely best buying process I’ve had in a long time. Mark is a great salesman, parts are great, Roy in service and Tom is their main Kioti mechanic, all top notch. My turn signal lights are mounted in the same place and both have been broke. I agree with poor design and also my fault for not paying attention.
Dealers support is definitely nice to have! Our Mahindra has been a pretty good machine. We had a leak in the first 30 hours but I was able to fix that once I had the right tool. Our biggest problem was a bad alternator fortunately that was covered under warranty. We also damaged the RoPs lights while brushhogging. After seeing a few you tubers use magnetic led light bars that might be a way for us to go. We also have an intermittent problem with 4wh drive engagement. This one is being troublesome in the season of mud! But still it’s getting the job done. We are coming up on a few jobs where we need some bigger equipment.
Good review Adam. I have a CK2610HST and I love it. I had a couple issues that were completely and quickly resolved by my dealer. I had 2 rear remotes installed and a couple times I accidentally hit one of the levers for one of the remotes and it caused an O-ring to leak. The dealer fixed it under warranty and I found out that I had to have a hydraulic hose connecting both the connections for that circuit. My dealer picked up and delivered my tractor free of charge. I highly recommend Kioti and would buy again in a heartbeat.
Great, honest review! I have about 220 hours on my Kioti CK2610 and am generally happy. I had one issue early on with the instrument cluster, and they replaced it immediately with no questions asked. Like every tractor, they have their quirks, but I still believe they are the best value for the money in tractors today. Before I bought mine, I had researched, built spreadsheets, did demos, the whole nine yards, and they all led me back to the Kioti. Now, they don't have quite the polish, bells and whistles of JD or Kubota, but pound for pound they're pretty hard to beat. Also, I moved my lights off the ROPS within the first month after breaking one on a tree limb. Luckily, they still have the holes in the fenders, just covered with a decal so I moved them myself.
How much did you save between KIOTI vs comparable kubota? KIOTI seems like you can save a good amount of money, like 10 k or more. That’s gonaa reduce your cost by a savings of 1/3…..that’s substantial savings, now is KIOTI reliable enough? Thank you. Jim
I don’t think it’s just an issue either with kioti. I have a Kubota b2601 and had the same issue with the diff lock. One important piece of information to keep that from happening is to not press the diff lock lever while the tires are spinning especially in conditions with slippery ground like icy driveways. The mass sitting still on one wheel while the other is spinning and then engaging the diff lock will slam the engagement of the dogs that lock up the diff and snap it a split second. Make sure your not spinning tires and are not moving before pressing that lever. Once I have the lever pressed down I slowly start moving the tractor till I feel the diff lock engage the get into a foot peddle to get out or pull something through sloppy ground.
I have a Kioti NX501O it is an absolute beast. I cleared a 1 acre lot, run a 6ft tiller, do lots of finish mowing. A 7ft snow plow, firewood, coal etc. 4 years and probably 180 hours. Zero issues. I love mine!!!
I've got a great 20 YO Massey Ferg 44 hp. Bent the tilt cylinders at 400 hours (my fault). No major problems otherwise. Always starts unless its below 0. Then I stay in anyway! What a great machine! Good vid 👍
Good review. My Kubota L4060 has 240 hours over two years, similar usage to yours. One winter during a sustained cold snap of two weeks of -20 degree weather the glow plugs did not work and hence it would not start. The dealer came right out and replaced a relay that controls the glow plugs. They also installed a block heater while they were out. That is the only issue I have had. You hit it right on with dealer support being key to any brand of tractor.
Thank you for the honest update. When I read reviews I can always discount a couple bashers and look for those honest reviews like yours. I know anything mechanical will have issues and it’s always going to be dealer support that makes it right. I was in the service industry and stoos behind the product I sold and service ams was always honest with the customer. Love the posts keep em up.
670 hrs on my kioti NX4510. Had it 3 years. No major issues with mine yet. Love my heated and air conditioning cab. PTO cruise control is great in the fields. I plant 7 acres of food plots every year with mine.
Great video, thanks for sharing. I have just over 90 hrs on my now 1 year old CK3510 SE cab. Such a great tractor and I'm happy with my purchase. I too am in PA and love my Kioti dealer, Hoover Tractor in Mifflinburg PA.
Solid review. I enjoyed hearing the issues. I have a smaller Kubota. I love it, I’m thrilled with the quality, but I’ve had minor things happen to it in the first 200 hours too. No company is going to make one bulletproof.
If you bought a whiny bx series you need hearing protection. I had a b7100 and was a little metal beast and so is my 04' B7800 I have now and quiet with no plastic but my Bx1850 just didn't have same build quality and clearance and was anoyingly noisy although likely still great if just used around the yard for light duty work and not taken in the woods and through the mud.
Glad to hear your dealer has taken care of you! I have 196 hours on my L3901 and it’s less than a year old! Only issue I’ve had so far was a minor coolant leak from a tube coming off the radiator, dealer determined that it was over tightened from the factory and the cold weather was making it leak a bit. They had it fixed for me in one day!
I bought my cs2210 off lamb &webster in grove city. Great people. Had 3 very minor things pop up. A broken battery cable, a leaking mower gear box seal, and a front axle upgrade/recall through Kioti. In every case those guys actually came to my house and repaired it on location under warranty. You can’t get better service than that.
I have a Kioti 3520 with 336 hours on it after just one year. Same problem breaking off a light. First day I owned a hydraulic hose on the loader let go and covered me with fluid. Not happy but the one end had not been crimped properly and dealer was going to send a mechanic an hour and half to fix immediately but I had one made here where I live and was up and running in an hour. Deale reimbursed me for the hose and my time. Great tractor so far.
Have the same tractor with only a leaking hydraulic seal the my dealer fixed under warranty. They said a few had the same issue. Excellent service by my dealer- Larry Stovesand Equipment in Nashville TN area
I have a small CS2510. It's been a great little tractor. Haven't had any mechanical problems, but after I bought it the hydraulic lines started coming loose. So that's something that I keep a check on regularly. After tightening them up I haven't had any issues. The little tractor is a work horse. My wife broke one of my lights off the roll bar after 10 minutes of driving it.
Thanks for the video! It is nice to hear both the good and bad (hopefully minimal). All brands have highlights and downsides, it is what works for you the owner. Looks like the Kioti has served you well.
Sounds like a decent tractor. You knocked the light off and stretched the screws (replacement at Tractor Supply). The dealer fixed the big problem. Machine does the work you need done. Now compare with the John Deere equivilant.
Fairly new owner of a Kioti CS2510 . Had the same issue with hazard light. And just this winter had welds that broke on snow plow. However with snow plow my dealer took care of it right away and rewelded all welds to insure proper performance. I do believe the light issue is of poor design and think they should be like mirrors on trucks and fold in when in that situation. My dealer is Hoover tractor here in centeral Pennsylvania.
This winter I used my 3510 to pick up regrind for the potholes in my lane. It started leaking fuel. Come to find out it was a mouse that had chewed the fuel intake line and it was also I found out made out of a soy product. I tried to get the part from my dealer. They gave me the runaround, so I went to Salem IL. for the part. They were very helpful and sent the part asap. I'm now going to put it on myself since I can't get my friend to do it. Nobody has done a video on this yet but I'm game to try. I really have had no problems at all with mine. I bought it new in 2018. I'm 63 and I still love it.
Adam , Thank you . After watching your video, I checked my loader bolts . 60 hrs and yes they were loose. I did go over tractor when I got it but apparently now they will be checked regularly.
Loader bolts being loose is a dealer issue, I work for the largest kioti dealer in the US 🇺🇸 and we loctite all the loader and wheel bolts. Ik some dealers do not and I have to regularly fix it when we get a transfer.
My friend just his last fall, he has a 75 hp, I ran it several times and it seems like a really nice tractor. We are located south of you right in the SW corner of Pennsylvania. Take care and be safe.
that was a great independent review of some issues encountered with ownership of new equipment. Those items were really not too terrible, and it comes down to repair. Your relationship with the dealer is key to a happy ending and it sounds like you had a happy ending.
ADAM, I own a RK 37 (OWTM influenced that purchase) bought it in Butler PA. Eventually I did have various issues, Backhoe spool valve leaking ... auto regen every 3 hours..PTO not engaging. All the problems were corrected,... eventually, just took time to get road tech scheduled and diagnosed as RK tractors (at time) was new to the market. With the problems I had, they extended the warranty on the Backhoe, as the implements are only warranted for a year. Treating the service team well goes a long way also. RK stepped up to the plate and didn't strike out with my issues. Sure you've heard this before, " Respect people (and equipment !) and they'll serve you well." .Good video.
Hey John, I wondered about the RK tractors from watching OWTM. They looked like solid machines at a great price. How many hours now, and are all of the issues corrected?
Glad to hear it I got an rk37 as well just hit 20 hours and I absolutely love it, my backhoe has been flawless so far probably played with that more than anything.
@@nicholaslimpf9615 Found out you should have a center link attached from under the Backhoe seat support to the tractor . I replaced ALL the subframe bolts due to all the weight of the hoe. I ALSO welded the subframe together to make more ridged.
Just subscribed to your channel. I have a Kubota 3301L series that I bought new a little more than three years ago. I have approximately 180 hours on it so far and have not experienced any mechanical problems. I keep everything lubed well and change out the fluids and air filter swhen required. The closest Kubota dealer is approximately 30 miles away and appears to be a little bit on the high side for everything i.e. LandPride Forks I recently purchased, leveler indicator, oil, etc. I actually purchased my tractor from another Kubota dealership 300 miles away because they were almost $4,000 cheaper. The dealership close to me said they were higher because I was "paying for convenience." That's a lot of convenience. All in all I'm very happy with the tractor.
Hey Adam I have a Kioti CS2210 it just rolled up 200 hours today when I was clearing snow with it, I just have it for doing snow clearing and some groundwork at my home and for working around my cabin. So far all I had to do was fix the ground wire on the battery and regular maintenance. I do find that the paint is peeling off in some places but it is a tractor and not my vehicle. I think no matter what color it is there are going to be issues and as long as the dealer looks after it all is ok. All the best.
That's a pretty light repair list, considering how hard you've worked that tractor lifting, plowing, brush hogging, etc. Sounds like it's working out well. I've got a Kioti DK5310SE cab arriving next week.
I have had my ck2610 for four years and have almost 450 hours on it. In that time the only warrantee items I have had were both front axle seals leaked and a tie rod end broke. I do all my own service on the tractor and just installed a 3rd function kit for the grapple I ordered. My tractor is in no way babied. It spends a lot of time in the woods and loading logs on my sawmill. My dealer has been really good to work with as well. IF the problem is warrantee related, they will pick up and drop off the tractor free.
Awesome video! We love out Kioti DK6010SE HST Cab, at 50 hours yesterday, I've had one issue. I noticed that our coolant reservoir cap had popped off (still attached by the lanyard, just off the opening). I replaced it, but then noticed coolant on the ground where I was parked (about 3 drips)...not sure if the two issues were connected, I called the dealer and they walked me though a few things to check. I tried tightening the lower clamp on the radiator hose (it was extremely tight already, so not likely to be the issue) and I was off and running. I believe that's been it. The only issue is that coolant will stay on the bottom of a housing for-ever (like the front axle) before you realize it's there. Occasionally, I find green fluid film when working around the tractor, and I get nervous... My hope is that having asked them their advice, they'll back me up if there is an issue down the road. We LOVE the tractor, and all the work we can get done with it!
I think you did a great overhaul of review on your tractor and you didn't pick it apart you just told it like it was and I like the way you did it I think they're all all good all around tractors it's all about how you take care of them and and how you use them being a former Massey Ferguson mechanic slash salesman I agree with everything you said
I think you just explained why the dif lock on my CK2610 is so hard to engage. I've just been dealing with it for a few months but now I'm gonna call my dealer. Thanks!
So far, I've not had any problems with my Kioti CK2610HST. The dealer was great with the purchase even though I probably called them 15 times in the week before I decided to purchase lol. Great tractors. Love my Kioti!
Just recently had my tractor in the shop, the dealer contacted me saying I was coming up on two years and they wanted to bring it in and give a good once over while still under warranty. Haven't had any problems with 250 hours. They not only checked everything, they even washed it, didn't think it was mine when they dropped it off. Color doesn't matter, the dealer is most important to me. I considered another tractor, they were in a big field and had a little hut for a "shop" and worked out of a truck toolbox. Glad I ran from there.
I love your videos your so analytical about things. As an accounting and MIS major who enjoys stuff like this your videos are so satisfying. Thank for your honest and logical reviews.
I like videos with honest folk, that share their blunders, rather than just saying it’s issues. I’ve had my ds4510hs loader tractor since 2015, and only had one issue so far. The screw bolts that hold the loader lever assembly to the cast part, under the rubber boot were shorter than they should be. There were hardly any threads grabbing, and one pulled out. The threads run way deeper, so no problem having a longer bolt. I just went to my local fastener store and got longer ones, cost me a couple bucks at most. The tractor lives outside, unfortunately, so has weather beaten seat, decals, tires, etc. Other than that I haven’t had any problems. At the time I bought it, the price was far less than any comparable machine, about $28,500 Canadian after taxes. That’s a really good price for a new 4wd, 45 hp machine with a loader. And 9 years without costly problems is a win in my book. Still has original battery, and starts up the same as when new. Some really cold winter days it takes two starts using the glow plugs, one time had to do three, but it was like -35C.
That’s not bad . I almost bought a koti , the price was very attractive and it had all the features I wanted. I ended up going for a kubota because the nearest koti dealer was 2.5 hrs away . I wanted a closer dealer for service/ parts ect .
All those issues weren't any deal breakers, the brand and the dealer took care of you. Kioti is still an excellent product, and I have a TYM (Which has been awesome too with 140h in 18 months)
I have a Kubota 3901 I use in the woods. Lights are on fender stock which is great but i cracked the plastic grill pushing brush and lost the spring for the clutch pedal lol. I have since built a belly pan and will make a metal brush guard. They don’t come from the factory woods worthy unless you are SUPER careful!!
Hey neighbor, am in Volant and today I stopped at dealer to look at CK3510......I think am gonna the owner of on this coming week...👍 Thank you for the review.....it sure helps guys like me a lot.
Hey Adam really appreciate your honest review. That really helps people who are making decisions like myself when I can trust somebody to give their honest opinion what works what doesn’t work, what they like what they don’t like. So thanks for your honesty.
I'm at 100 hours and had one bolt fall out. Nice to see people following up on longer term reviews. And you're right, so many do only the good and only the bad, or say "subscribe for more" and never do another update.
I have had mine for 6 years I own nx6010 I am mason lift 500 bricks out of 1 ton all the time scoop up demo all the time never had that problem I lift my nabories gohndeer green out of mud many times he has a 25 hrs 4 weeld drive I picked it up out of mud lol so far so good for me 1200 hrs still going strong love the power
Honest review and for taking blame on operator damage. Ive run everything from 70s model Long, John Deere, Massey, IH, Kubota old and new and Kioti. I absolutely love my kioti, the CK3510 is awesome woods tractor, I use DK5310se hst non cab for 99% of what I do even in the woods!
Summer of 2023 bought a new 4715 with a 6ft Brush hog, right now have 40hrs on it. Love it, no real problems. However, I broke that same light going between two trees. ...not going to lie, it pissed me off! At first service will do what they did here, move them down. Also will upgrade the sway bar turnbuckles, I've no confidence in the stock ones. fyi, No regrets, it's a good tractor.😊
I have the same tractor as you with just over 80 hrs. So far no problems. I have been meaning to move my hazard lights down onto the fenders like you had them do yours, just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I am pretty careful with them when I am working around trees though. Thanks for the review!
Great video, started with Kubota which served me well but needed a cab for winter snow, saved quite a lot buying the Mahindra, Strong machine but very slow , with no power in reverse. Dealer claimed it was normal. Now snow removal takes me twice as long but I am warm. Mahindra dealer support has not been the best. Definitely will consider Kioti for a future purchase. Thank you for your video.
This was good to hear as I just plunked down cash for my 4010/35hp today. I’d be interested if you bought the clutch or HST. We bought it to clean barns (four barns) and seed and harvest thick vines hay. I bought the HST because my wife will be driving it AND because i have two total knee replacements that are aging well…but aging. The new lights are on the fender from the start. We put about 400 hours per year on our four tractors so I guess about 1000 hours per year on this one that is going to take the place of all four. Being a flatland farm without trees I think we will not have many problems.
This was a great informational video. Thank you for sharing. One video like yours probably helped hundreds of Kioti owners across the country & beyond. Service is everything when buying an expensive piece of equipment like yours.. Have a great July 4th when it gets here.
Adam, I'm waiting for my tractor to have a problem. 7 Years using my Mahindra. Zero issues. Maybe that's why they offer such a long warranty. It never gets used. At times I wish I bought bigger, But the Max 25 gets it done.
Hey Adam, enjoy the channel. Our Kioti has been a great tractor; with minor setbacks like all new machines have. Leaking hose, CEL light, etc but overall it has been a total force to be reckoned with. We have talked about it on our channel also, but the color of the tractor really doesn't make a whole lot of difference anymore. There is no USA made tractor, there are some paint colors that are confusingly expensive and some that are just not supported well through a dealer network. Kioti makes a great product and if I had to do it all over again I would buy it again (with a cab of course.). 😁👍🏼
I am not a green fan but they are assembled in Georgia, but the components are sourced both domestically and the International Market. They are also over priced, @ least until the 100 hp class and above.
Some of the lower tier brands are represented by folks that know zilch about tractors, trailer dealers, used car folks, so forth. That has hurt the reputations of some brands.
@@billupstateny9151 I am sure there are bad apples out there, fortunately I haven’t had to work with them. My dealer is fantastic and I have sent many folks to them because they get it. My biggest issue is that I like ALL tractors and can’t have them all! 😂
@@billupstateny9151 I like Deere products, had one before but parts were INSANELY expensive. My Kioti oil filter is almost as cheap as a fram (price wise). The Deere stuff was just out there, that green paint is good looking but you pay for it. We are fortunate that we live in a tine where there are so many options for everyone to enjoy.
Don't have a dealer near me so kubota was my choice. Awesome little 30 horse tractor and the best dealer support a man could ask for. 300 hours and absolutely no issues with it. Sounds like you got a good one and take care God bless.
Thank you for the great video! It's nice to see some of the issues, although it appears you've had great experience! I have a CK2610SE Cab just under 50 hours and have been good so far. Thank you for sharing your experience with Kioti. So far I'm glad I went with Kioti!
I just ordered a Kioti CK2610 today...was REALLY excited, till i saw all the negative videos on the backhoe (that i also ordered) frame weaknesses. I hope i did not make a mistake, cause this tractor Fits Me so Well!
@@lynchcreekmuzzy5759 I love my tractor, CK2610SE Cab, I'm getting my Kioti backhoe attachment installed next week. After weighing all the options from different manufacturers I like what Kioti does with there's in terms of mounting to tractor. I think it will be fine. Just make sure you always use your outriggers and use front bucket to lift front off ground to give a stable 3 point stance.
I have the same exact tractor. I bought it new and now have 297 hours (about 3 years) . I am in the firewood business and as of right now the issues I have had are 1) Brake linkage hangs up (not a huge deal breaker I can work around it but needs to be tuned) 2) The Diff Lock is chunky to engage (which I now may know the answer to) 3) Left Front Axle Seal is starting to weep (I load ALOT of firewood so this may just may be to me being a rookie and overloading the front at some point in the early days) 4) The tractor started intermittently puffing smoke at one point so I called the dealer. They let me know that I needed to run it at a constant 2100(ish) RPM when working (again my fault I was on and off the tractor starting / stopping causing the regen system to overload) I then ran a forced regen and it looked like a bomb went off and wasn't a mosquito for miles but after that no real issues with it. Other than those issues, this tractor take a beating, starts up in -20 degree weather, and hasn't left me hanging yet. I spent 10 years of my life spinning wrenches for a living but I was completely new to the tractor game. I am not saying Kioti is the BEST tractor out there because I don't have the seat time to make that call but what enticed me about the Kioti was its price, the beefy looking welds and build components, and in all honesty the dealer location. I am not upset at all that I made this purchase. So far this thing has been a delight to own and I couldn't really do what I do for a living without it.
Kioti covered the real problem, so I'd call it a non-problem. I have an RX7320PC and it has been very beastly good. Shamblin Brothers in Looneyville WV are an excellent dealership.
about a year (50 hours) mine snapped the front hydraulic steering cylinder in two where the piston grove is cut into it (c clip holds in there). My dif lock was a bear to engage, welded on a piece of steel to lengthen it to make it far easier. I've had two pistons pull the eye out of the weld, bad weld, and I've had one weld pull the clevis out of the metal (another bad weld) (all three on the backhoe part, but for me they are both Kioti so its about weak welds on the tractor). I live on steep terrain, and having a tractor with welds pulling out and steering that snapps leaves little confidence. I see you use yours on flat terrain... So when something goes it might not cost you your life. At the very least the dealer should have covered the steering under warranty, given that they didn't I welded up back and its been that way for 3 years now.
If you print out the spec sheets and lay them side by side, the choice becomes pretty clear. If your worry is the distance from a Kioti dealer, search for your nearest Bobcat dealer, and buy the corresponding Bobcat model. Bobcats are basically Kiotis painted white.
@@austinclark8380 you are Exactly Right...i did just that TODAY. Bought a KIOTI CK2610...came close to getting the Bobcat because they have really good service overall (from what i have seen) but it was a better deal for me to get Kioti in this situation....but not gonna lie...the horror stories about the backhoes are starting to concern me....i also got the backhoe and starting to wonder if i made a mistake. Still do Not want a Kubota...the Cockpit on Kubota L2501 is horrible.
Seriously sit in a Kubota and then a Kioti....night and day difference... completely changed my mind on buying a Kubota... terrible Cockpit for foot controls...as far as i am concerned.
Hey! Great video. It was the most practical videos because you spoke about all aspects of the breakages through the repair process and put realism into it. For the realism factor, that definitely made this one of the best videos. Thanks.
As a new subscriber and being somewhat self sufficient myself, I have enjoyed your videos. I would recommend using some sort of jack system or blocks under the rear of your dump trailer when loading/un-loading your tractor. I learned the hard way doing something similar, then the trailer ball hitch failed, causing the trailers hitch to forcibly remove a pickup's closed tailgate, launching it 20 feet in the air, only to have it drop back down on the cab's roof. Very expensive repair. Those hitches are not designed for the upwards force when the rear of the trailer of forced down. Glad to hear your honest review of the Kioti tractors. I have them on the short list for my place. It is the local dealer that I am worried about. One year they are TYM tractors, then Bobcat, then Kioti and now I don't know what they have. Thanks Again. Dave N.
It amazes me just how many "experienced" people out there overlook this. I installed a landing jack/landing gear on either side of my equipment trailer just for that reason. YES, I learned this the hard way...
Must call a spade a spade. The broken light(s) is 100% your fault. Many manufacturers are locating their lights up high, much like yours were. That location was most likely chosen for safety reasons, offering your tractor better visibility, but that only works as long as the lights are intact. I relocated the Massey lights on my daughter's tractor to the inside of the ROP. As for Kioti dependability I have had 3 breakdowns in14 years and 1200 HRS of ownership of a DK35. The first was at about the 1000hr mark while snow plowing. The tractor just quit. I traced the problem to the fuel system and found a glob of silicone obstructing the fuel delivery to the primary (lift) pump. Down time 2 hours. The second problem , at about 1100 HRS, was a leak on the left rear axle. The nut retainer in the gear case hadn't been crimped properly allowing the axle to start walking out Tightened the nut, crimped the nut retainer and refilled the HD oil. Down time 4 hours. The third problem was at 1150 HRS. I was in high gear, coasted to a stop, tried to put the tractor in neutral but the selector went limp. The shifter fork bolt broke. Removed the shifter housing, replaced the bolt, refilled the HD oil. Downtime 4 HRS. Now had I needed to trailer this unit 2 hours North to my dealer, this would have amounted to a hefty expense. All in all having bought other brands of tractors and having worked on all kinds of equipment, I would not hesitate to look at Kioti again.
Thanks for the good info. I just purchased a 2021 CK 2610 HST w/KL 4030 FEL w/SSQA from an excellent top rated dealer 40 mins away. You just solidified my decision 👍
It took me 18 months of hard research and I ended up with a New 2011 Kubota L4240 HST I also purchased the BH92 backhoe attachment and a 4 in 1 front bucket. I now have 260 hours on this with zero incidents. The machine never misses a beat and has done everything I’ve asked from it. My decision was made from years of experience running equipment in construction. Simply you can’t go wrong with Kubota, once purchased they go into a black hole hence that’s why I bought new as no used where available. If I had to make another choice it would have been a Massey Ferguson. I would never ever pay for green and yellow as they are costly and now mostly manufactured overseas and poor quality. Same goes for Mahindra, Yanmar, Bobcat(Which where originally repainted rebadged Kiotis). It is always better to purchase more than you need rather than have buyers remorse when you realize you have less power than you need. My preference won’t be the same as others that’s obvious, if you are happy with your purchase then I’m happy for you. Kubota looks after you well, they won’t support what they term grey tractors those used ones imported in from Japan. Also they dealerships service only certain areas and prices are fixed so no deals are to be had from a dealer outside of your area. This keeps businesses happy and allows them to maintain their customers base without competition from other Kubota dealerships close by. Good luck with you’re equipment service and maintain it and it won’t let you down. Thanks for the videos, they make me want more land. God bless you and you’re family. PS: A close third contender was New Holland (Ford basically)
I’ve got the bobcat rebranded kioti.. 70 hours.. just got it back from dealership. Valve in 3 point broke and wouldn’t allow it to go down. Only issue so far and hopefully the last
I've always had good luck with our local john deere dealers around me! I have a john deere 3032E compact tractor!! I've had a few minor things with it and they immediately took care of it!! Stay safe!!
I have a John Deere 5200 loader tractor I've had it for 19 years I have not had not one problem with my tractor. I thought about writing John Deere a letter and asking them what did they do to my tractor and there's nothing wrong with it why don't they build them all like that. My neighbor says I need to get it dirty because he calls it a trailer Queen. Yes I wax my tractor's just like I wax my truck. Take care of your equipment it will take care of you. And nobody I mean nobody other than me drives my tractor. Hope everybody has a nice day and stay safe
Just got mine! Kicks ass! Have had issues with the extra button on the bucket engaging when I don't press, just adjustment on the stick though. Also my mulcher PTO fell off. Manufacturer mistake and easy to fix. I'm in western Australia and very happy with tractor and dealer. Cowaramup tractors
Purchased a CK3510SE three months ago. Really long story as short as I can write it..It's been back to the dealer three times. Leading up to each scheduled visit was incredibly painful. My dealership has no idea how to treat customers to built long term relationships. The tactor was originally delivered with 3 large dents on the rear fender (I had to live with them pulling the dents out even though it cracked the coating), rusted nuts holding the mirrors on, grapple hoses leaking, little to no front axle oil, intermitted start (their solution to this on one visit was to disconnect the seat safety switch and tape up the connections...so gave it back to me without its factory safety functions), linked pedal never worked was always "linked" from delivery, grapple hoses routed so they drag on the ground without hose protection (their solution to this was to use an entire roll of electrical tape on 4 feet of hose), reverse pedal linkage underneath chafing through one of the hyd hoses routed near it, no lynch pins hold the two drawbar pins in place on delivery, intermitted grapple open and close (it took them two returns to figure out the problem was in the third function switch on the loader handle). Leading up to the last visit (linked pedal issue) I called on 1/4 to report it, they said they'll check their schedule and call back, no call. I called back on 1/18, they said the same thing, no call back. I called a third time on 1/28, they said the same thing...then finally called back on 1/28. They did the work and returned it without calling to let me know. So they entered my property, opened my garage door and drove the tractor in without my knowledge. While at their shop it had snowed. There was no attemp to brush the snow off before returning...and they worked on it after it was snowed on....hard packed from their feet and never even cleaned the snow from the dash to work on the linked pedal. While all this is going on, not one time have they reached out to me to let me now where my brush hog is. I've asked them 3 times over this period and all I get is "Well we wouldn't know that and you don't need it right now anyway". That all said this tractor is a workhorse...just stay away from Manchester Motors in Maine. One on one nice people, just a horrible horrible business model.
I have the same tractor and it’s working great...I try to stop before stepping on my differential although I’ve also used it while rolling slowly forward without a lot of torque on the transmission..your ground appears to be flat and you are using it to pull tools through soil...I live on hills with forest land so I’m changing elevation a lot while hauling or pulling...over all I’m very happy with the tractor as I am coming up to 100 hours...
Good review. I am getting ready to buy the same tractor from Kioti. As you said, you can have problems with any of them and it boils down to warranty and service from the dealer. You have a good one.
A youtuber who gets right to the point. Thank you.
My Kioti has never let me down in the 7 years I've owned it. DS45SE HST. Not sugarcoating that Adam, it's just always been there for us. Keep up your videos. Todd in NH.
I have had my DK 45 for 5 years , love it more every day.
Thanks for your honesty. Anybody can understand a machine malfunction as all brand do malfunction. It’s how it handled by the dealer.
He could have also left a message or emailed me but he did not.)
I asked him what happen that he can’t give me the part.
(He never called me back after that, and I was glad about that.)
I have put 30 hour on my tractor since installing the safety control module without and further starting issues.
Now a get another letter from Kioti stating there is a recall and mandatory upgrade on my tractor.
They want to install two additional grounding straps and up grade the HST controller software.
In this letter it clearly states the following.
“THIS SERIVCE CAN BE DONE ON SITE AND DOES NOT REQUIRE YOUR TRACTOR TO BE TRANSPORTED TO THE DEALERSHIP “
So I call and speak with the service manager about getting this done.
I now plan on going to the dealership and try and speak with the owner about getting
the mandatory upgrade done.
So you are mad that the service manager is an ass…..noted. Mad over $120 bucks on a 50k+ tractor. Got it.
Guess you could call and complain to corporate and let them know how local dealer is acting.
Hi Adam, I know you to be a no-nonsense kind of guy, very much appreciate your approach to this review. I like you channel.
Nice review. What can you tell us about your trailer ?
Service support is 70% of the customer satisfaction! This goes for everything! Gad to hear they are taking care of the issues!
Sounds like you've had good luck with your tractor, AND with your dealer. We can't expect any more than that!
Enjoyed the video. Really liked the shallow depth of field for the headshots :-)
It does. I just hope he didn’t get preferential treatment because he is a you tuber with a fast growing great channel.
I like your review, I thought it was an honest deal. You didn’t really bash anyone just presented the facts.
Good vid 👍
It is great to hear good service, good people and honest and fair reviews.
I've got a 2007 TC30 New Holland tractor,with front loader.I use mine a lot.Almost 906 hours on it and so far I haven't had a single problem with it
Have the same tractor with only a leaking hydraulic seal the my dealer fixed under warranty. They said a few had the same issue. Excellent service by my dealer- Larry Stovesand Equipment in Nashville TN area
Thank you for the review! I am in the market for an upgraded tractor and kioti is at the top of the list.
Love my local Kubota dealer. Good local service means everything to an operator. Brands vary, service matters, in my humble opinion.
that was a great independent review of some issues encountered with ownership of new equipment.
@@JoeTheFarmer 327 hrs and yes all problems resolved at this point purchased in Sept.2018
@@nicholaslimpf9615 Found out you should have a center link attached from under the Backhoe seat support to the tractor . I replaced ALL the subframe bolts due to all the weight of the hoe. I ALSO welded the subframe together to make more ridged.
@@JohnSmith-tv5ep Awesome John! They are good looking tractors at a great price. Be safe out there buddy!
Honest presentation, I enjoyed that, thanks for posting.
That’s good to hear. My diff lock hasn’t worked since I got mine.
I think you did a great overhaul of review on your tractor and you didn't pick it apart you just told it like it was and I like the way you did it I think they're all all good all around tractors it's all about how you take care of them and and how you use them being a former Massey Ferguson mechanic slash salesman I agree with everything you said
Sounds like great service care by Lamb and Webster. Thanks for sharing. I’d consider buying from them for sure.
Do you have backhoe? I just ordered a CK2610 yesterday....weeee bit concerned about the backhoe issues on YT. 🤔
Great review, Adam! I agree with what you said. I have had good luck with my Kioti 2610 and my dealer. Love my tractor!
Hey neighbor, am in Volant and today I stopped at dealer to look at CK3510......I think am gonna the owner of on this coming week...👍
Thank you for the review.....it sure helps guys like me a lot.
Good on them for admitting the fork is a common issue. Says a lot about a company.
@@JoeTheFarmer I think of a kioti as kinda small for farming, especially row crop duty. Do you grow hay, looked up their PX series? 100 hp?.
Nice tractor, for 2 years looks like you take care of it well. Thanks for the info.
Really appreciate the honest review. I’ve been going back and forth in my mind over Kubota, Kioti and Deere and value your opinions on your equipment.
I'm tractor shopping and appreciate your review!
Got my ck 3510 last fall from Lamb and Webster also...so far I love it !!
2010 , 3038e 600+ hours, use it for everything All year. Absolutely great machine
How many hours on your 3032e? Do you recommend it?
Just got mine! Kicks ass! Have had issues with the extra button on the bucket engaging when I don't press, just adjustment on the stick though.
Also my mulcher PTO fell off. Manufacturer mistake and easy to fix. I'm in western Australia and very happy with tractor and dealer.

A true review.....thanks Adam.....My neighbor just picked up a Kioti will tell him about the diff lever.
Sounds like Kioti addressed it on the newer tractors...hopefully, .i just bought a CK2610 Today. Guess i better call....
Good experience with my Kioti since owning it. Love your channel by the way!
My 2008 kitoi with over 800 hrs is the best tractor I ever had...love it...power is amazing...
That's a light repair list, thanks for the vid. I just took delivery of my CK2610HST a couple weeks ago, it's been fantastic.
Good review. I am getting ready to buy the same tractor from Kioti. As you said, you can have problems with any of them and it boils down to warranty and service from the dealer. You have a good one.
Thanks for this. Getting ready to pull the trigger on this model and the tip on hazard lights is appreciated.
A good dealer and service dept. sure makes life a lot easier when things go wrong
Don’t own a Kioti, but really like them.
