I literally fell asleep during the race. Awakened as Sergio Perez took the checkered flag, I quickly ascertained that I had missed nothing of consequence during my slumbers.
De Vries is having a shocker rookie season. You'd expect from someone who can call himself a world champ (thanks to Formula E) to be less error prone.
For the excitement of the Baku race, it was actually not that bad if you had good commentary that was able to focus on how hard Max and Checo were pushing each other for like over half the race. They both had so many close calls. And F1TV commentary did a good job on focusing on that as far as I'm able to tell. I was hooked that day. Of course certain people only look at the chaos and for those this race was meh.
At least there is Indycar again this week to wake us up.

Time to revise the regulation. In Bahrain we had the least amount of overtake since 2010. In Australia we literally had 1 non DRS pass and also the worse overtaking rate since 2011( we also had 4DRS zone and yet the terrible overtaking).

After this vid I'm kinda glad I missed the race. Originally planned to watch it tonight with the Replay function, but a friend already told me not to
1. Do we ever see or hear from Nyck De Vries or Zhou in any race unless they DNF?
2. Baku's Grand Prix was boring. It was fall asleep in the middle, wake up, and the order hasn't changed, boring. You know it's bad when you find yourself daydreaming about the cool crisp fake waters of the Miami circuit.

For the sprint race at Baku the FIA should have a regular qualifying session, then reverse the whole grid, Wait for the lights, then RACE. F1 seems to want excitement then give everyone real excitement.

Sprints take 1/3 of the distance and meaning out of the race
So glad I did not wake up early in the states to watch this one live.
Formula 1 really made us wait 4 weeks for a race so shite it made France 2019 look like Silverstone 2022 in comparison.

What God did Ocon piss off, he seems to just find himself in the worst of spots.
F1 has got to do something to make the racing closer and better. This season for the most part has been dreadful.
Looking forward to this one, I'm not a massive fan of the sprints at all
And on top of all of this, Grosjean once again got a 2nd in IndyCar. So sad he didn't win today.

Pure luck no extra safety cars SO MANY cars hit walls but somehow got away with it. Any of those coulda been huge incident but nope we got 1st boring baku in years

In 2021 rb messes up his pitstop to let max through but because of karma and magic button he got the win
In 2022 they messed up his setup and didn't pit in vsc

Doubtful Perez can beat Max over a season. This was his first real win where others and Max in particular didn't have a major issue. He might win one or two but definitely not the championship.
