This was literally real Dutch weather. Whenever there's is someone from another country we also say 'welcome in the Netherlands' because of this weather. It might be English weather too, but don't take it from us. Although it isn't great weather so in that case you may maybe take it

for you foreigners that don't know Dutch the song that got played before the red flag about Ricciardo the lyrics to that song are "doe je handen maar omhoog en zwaai van links naar rechts" or in English "put up your hands and sway them left to right" when the guy is having a crash that resulted in a fractured wrist or smth that's diabolical yet hilarious couldn't have scripted it better and neither could Will I'll tell you that much

(I'm feeling chuffed with myself, I was able to translate the words before reading yours. I'm learning Dutch, mainly because my favourite auntie and one of my favourite ever colleagues were Dutch, and I live directly over the water from the Netherlands. We have a boat, and there's always the possibility that Hubby turns in the wrong direction 🤣)
If he only spoke Dutch he'd have been driving on Sunday.

Will didn't mention it, but this was Jenny Gow's first race back at work since her stroke. For those who don't know, Jenny Gow is BBC 5 Live's pit reporter and there was, as I'm told a feel good mood in the paddock with her back at work. That and, you know, this was what she came back to. I mean, I' hoping all the other races from now on are also chaotic and somehow end up with a Max win. I'm not even mad Max won, he earned this one. This was race of the year and had absolutely everything. Just more proof we need European races or at least races that have a shot at throwing absolute chaos in the mix

Yes but not in a work role, she was there as a guest of the sport. At that time she was still recovering it was said she'd be back for the Dutch GP in a work role

You forgot the funny part where Ferrari tweeted about Charles pitting for Inters, before he even was in the pitlane. The tweet was more prepared then the mechanics 😂
There's been talk about Max gaining 4 seconds per lap because Checo was trying to save his inters.
The conspiracy about the two of them having different cars has progressed to the point that Toto Wolff has thrown his tinfoil hat into the ring. I never imagined that the silver arrow would be a shiny point at the top of Wolff's head, but these are bizarre times.
He's also been yammering about Red Bull dominance being bad for the sport. Exceedingly rich, coming from him.
Or Max is much beter when it's wet and drying .. it could be that.
@@onsterfelijke I think, at this point, there's no denying that Max is an unbelievably gifted driver, especially in extremely tricky (if not outright treacherous) conditions like the ones we saw at Zandvoort. Some drivers come alive in the wet. Max comes alive as soon as he gets in the car. His ability to adapt is genuinely staggering.
I'm a fan of Checo, but I'm not going to act like Max isn't the best driver in the field (or like he isn't one of the all-time greats).

It actually isn't expensive at all the tickets are about 50-100 for a ground pass and the flights are less than 300 from anywhere in europe

Yeah that was insane. I'm genuinely hyped for what he can do in that williams in monza. Strength was clearly in the straight line speed which is very important in monza so it's gonna be really interesting

I know this is about Formula 1 but in F2 Clement Novalak won his first ever race in F2, that was pretty amazing to see. Of course also the tires of Vesti falling off was quite memorable
That line about Alonso finding the cheat code the Dutchman has been using all season, absolutely SLAYED me. 💯 😂

I'm so gutted for Daniel. He was so unlucky. And he is at the moment the only F1 driver that could not afford having an injury.
Good video, I enjoyed it as a Dutchman :). In hindsight it might be inappropriate to party while Daniel broke his hand but nobody knew it was the case at the time. He generally seemed fine, only later it was confirmed he had a serious injury. Daniel is very popular in NL. Nobody wishes this for him. The weather was just typical Dutch weather, nothing special. Good weather to put up a gazebo and fire up the BBQ underneath!

I just love the ducht gp(geuss my nationality) zandvoort really really did a great job. I live about half an hour drive from the track, been to races there my whole life and its just awsome to hear People enjoy the gp so much

I was at the arena at zandvoort this weekend, You shouldve been there. It was insane!
9:38 Ferrari actually made the wrong strategy call, they told Leclerc to stay out and he ignored them and dived into the pits at the last second, this explains why the tires weren't ready. Leclerc made the right call, not the team.

What I find hilarious is that they moved the race to get more dry weather and then the Dutch summer weather hits.
The most interesting part of the weekend for me wasn't how Zandvoort overdelivered, or the rave around track, or the conditions; no for me the most interesting thing was the fact that the two drivers both gunning for the second Sauber seat, Zhou and Theo, both hit the exact same wall on their respective race days in tricky conditions. Certainly makes the question of "who's the leading candidate" that much more tricky to answer, haha.
I think bottas’s seat is more at risk than zhous. zhous been out performing bottas most of the season and brings huge investment into the team due to his chinese heritage. Pourchaire is going to replace bottas by the end of this season

I was at Carfest in the UK watching qualifying on the big screens there and it was very amusing that while Q3 was red flagged after Logan binned it there was red flags at Carfest aswell because someones wheel fell off.
