The Mansell one is almost iconic.
That's downhill at more than full tilt into a hairpin and his tyre went. The way he held that car as the back was desperately trying to overtake the front was masterful.
Actually it is a slightly uphill run to the hairpin. But yes the tyre exploded so bad luck to Mansell

I was at Silverstone 2013. It was quite an action packed race and very memorable.
The PTSD Hamilton must feel from tyres blowing out and costing him valuable races must be huge.
Now I understand his obsession with them lol.
I'm a huge Ham fan but you have to consider that he puts his tyres through more trauma by being quicker than everyone else. He is going to blow more tyres for that reason.
China 2007 was immaturity. He wanted the race win because he thought WDC was in the bag. Now he would pit to get get the WDC points he needed

Hamilton did drive of track in the first Stint on turn 4 so his tyres where less wearing then verstappen who was pushing and had problems with the differential

Murray Walker should have been knighted for his contributions to engineering.
More was learned as a result, as a consequence of his jinxing those cars, than was ever obtained from test drives and wind tunnels.
He is, and shall forever remain, the best F1 commentator there has ever been.
My conclusion after this video is its up to the tyres to make F1 interesting when the sport itself fails year after year.
I mean the FIA makes sure the tires wear really really fast just to try and keep it interesting.

@@ParhamAz 2007 was his own error hth. Wasn't cautious enough. He managed to break successfully for the hairpin at the end of the faster back straight 10 seconds prior.
@@Beechaii2 A bit of him, a bit of the team. They were so desperate for to win the championship that race, they ended up throwing it away. Had he matched the strategies of the other two championship contenders (which is what received wisdom tells you to do if you're leading the standings) he would have finished third (at the very least), and Raikkonen would have been mathematically out of it.
Worth noting that this video doesn't include his puncture at the 2007 Turkish GP and the tyre failure in qualifying at the Nurburgring that sent him to the back of the grid. Had any one of these three instances not happened, he would have won the title that year.

He was already 25 points down on Rosberg before the season even began in Australia after he had an engine failure right at the start, while on pole position. In Canada retired because of an ERS failure after passing Rosberg for the lead. In Germany, he had a brake failure in qualifying, had to start last. In Hungary, he had a turbo failure in qualifying, had to start from the pit lane. Also, he had another DNF in Belgium as well. Rosberg also had problems out of his control but not as much as Hamilton. Overall Hamilton had significantly more reliability problems over the course of the season than Rosberg in 2014.

No I re watched the race a few days ago it definitely was a "mal-misorganisation" problem. I think he said it with a 1/2 second gap between so it could have been cut fairly seamlessly

Kimi was used to driving Michelin tyres, before 2007, Massa had already driven Bridgestones all his career, so that flattered Massa in 2007 and 2008 - it was clear Kimi had MAJOR setup issues with the car in 2007 and 2008. Kimi is a far better driver as were all of the other drivers who beat Massa in the same team like Fisichella, Alonso, Bottas, and Heidfeld. Stroll wasn't even that far behind in the WDC lmao......

His skill cost him the championship. There were only a couple of laps left, and no safety car in those days. Had he gone into the wall on the straight they'd likely have stopped the race and he'd have been declared the winner and taken the championship.
