I've always felt that "The Rhythm Thief & The Emperor's treasure" was a gem most missed, and I would love to see a switch port. Also, Code Name S.T.E.A.M's movement isn't completely original, it's very similar to Valkyria Chronicles' movement system. There's also a really stupid difficulty spike that ultimately stopped me from recommending the game
There's a game called Fantasy Life by Level 5, which is for some reason is one of my favorite games of all time. I would kill to see it get on the Switch (okay maybe not kill, but I really want it for the switch). Also Arlo is left handed? Wow...
One that I personally would like to see on switch is Fire Emblem Echoes. It would be amazing to see the Character Art and Cut scenes at a higher resolution than the 3DS Has. They'd probably have to spruce up the models, but it'd be worth it to see it in full detail. Somewhat unrelated, I really Want to play any Tekken game on Switch. I was hoping we'd get Tag 2 WiiU on Switch since one of the only WiiU games stuck on WiiU, but it seems like we Aren't. I'm still holding out hope for either That or Soul Calibur 2 HD for Switch...
Yeah fun but just a touch to repetitive at one point I just felt like I was ramming my head into a steel wall so a few tweaks are needed to resolve that and maybe expand the combat system and reduce the number of times you need to save your party and switch classes do that and I'm all for it at least until tomodachi life 2 is announced then it can unfortunately bite me
I agree, I thought it was pretty great. Despite how simplistic it was, it changed things up often enough to keep me from getting bored. Plus it's got a surprisingly hefty amount of content
I've always wanted Monster Hunter Stories on the switch. Or at least a sequel. It didn't deserve the stigma that it got at launch for being a "pokemon clone". Honestly in my opinion, it's better than Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
MHS was amazing. I played that my freshman year of college. I remember entering English 101 playing a wifi battle one day, people were actually interested in what I was playing.
3DS was attached to me at the hip for its life-cycle. I really didn't exist without having my 3DS on me. I played it so much I went through 4 systems through overuse and I'm actually super cautious and careful with my stuff! So, with the 3DS being such a big part of my adult life, here are the games I most want to see brought to the Switch. I'll exclude the five you mention. - Shin Megami Tensei Games (all of them / collection / whatever) - The 3DS saw so many amazing SMT games on the system. Between Devil Survivor 1 and 2, their remasters, and then the excellent double-package that was SMT 4 and SMT 4: Apocalypse, the 3DS had the series' best and newest games, and I dumped literally hundreds of hours into EACH of the titles I mentioned. It seems strange to ask for remasters of games that have already been remastered; but I KNOW that I'm going to want to replay these games at some point, and going back to the 3DS after having played the Switch is just...not pleasant. At the very least, a combo-pack containing both games SMT4 and its sequel would be a great way to get people hyped up when SMT 5 eventually comes out on the Switch. - Professor Layton Collection - A huge part of my 3DS experience were the Professor Layton games, and specifically with the 3DS titles, the fact that every single day you'd be able to download a brand new puzzle. These daily puzzles were a delight for me, and the games as a whole were wonderful and so genuine and earnest. A collection that gave these already beautiful games the HD treatment would be absolutely stellar. - Tomodachi Life - I personally got a year's worth of entertainment out of this game by creating characters and getting lost in the stories that the game would create for them. This game was stunningly charming and had so, so much comedy to give. The more you put in, the more exponential value you got out. It deserves a full sequel, but even a straight port would be something I'd buy again to have on the switch. If you included something like Smash's content creator and made the online easier to access than the game's original streetpass-only functionality, the game would instantly be improved by leaps and bounds. - Rhythm Heaven Meagmix - C'mon. Give me more Rhythm Heaven. PLEASE. - Elite Beat Agents / Ouendan Collection. I DON'T CARE THAT THESE WERE DS GAMES! JUST LET ME PLAY THESE AGAIN! PLEEEEEEEASE! FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST!
God I would LOOOOOOVE CODE NAME: S.T.E.A.M. it's my second favorite game of all time, the great fusion between FPS' and FE/Xcom style games. Since you have already read all the books that they make you read in high school, you already have background knowledge of all the characters, the online was good and the gameplay was soooooooo smooth. The only thing hindering the game from an amazing switch port would be the graphics; they looked ok on the 3ds' screen, but would be kinda iffy on the switch's screen, and would completely fall apart on a T.V. Still I would kill for a port or sequel to CODE NAME: S.T.E.A.M.
Peter Haywood I agree, but I literally just bought Ocarina 3D like a week ago. I'd be pretty pissed if they decided to port it now lol. Me personally I'd prefer a Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD bundle. Maybe throw in a new Skyward Sword HD port in there too.
The Mario & Luigi RPG series seriously need to come to the switch. Due to such poor timing of release for the remasters on 3DS, granted at the fault of the company that released it, those amazing games didn't get much time in the light. The best we have right now is the original Superstar Saga on Game Boy Advanced emulation
I personally think "The Denpa Men They Came By Wave", "The Denpa Men 2 Beyond The Waves", and "The Denpa Men 3 The Rise of Digitoll" need to have remakes on the Nintendo Switch. The series is extremely underrated and those games are some of the first to have demos. I remember Nintendo expressed their enthusiasm by placing those games on the front page of the 3DS Eshop on the day each game out and all 3 games STILL didn't sell well. I have been playing "The Denpa Men" series ever since I was in Elementary School, and the game still never gets old. Maybe if I send a letter to Nintendo, they might give the game a second chance.
Joshua Forgey I think people still would’ve been upset. People probably would’ve been like “we just got Metroid again and now you’re doing stupid spinoffs instead of proper games?” It might have done a little better but I don’t think it would’ve done very well either way.
@@justaddwater6644 That's what I'm thinking. It still wouldn't have done great, but if a true Metroid came first, I think it would have at least a little more respect.
@Zach the Cat I think they mean Apollo, Dual, and Spirits because that's kinda a saga granted that Apollo is a in-between. Investigations has been left to die and we will never see "The Great Ace Attorney" because Capcom are fucking cowards!
@@thekiss2083 Maybe? I dont want them to boot it out the door and have it be trash or the same old same old. I've said it again and again but hot damn if they give us "The Great Ace Attorney 1 & 2" that's all we need for like a decade.
Codename STEAM needs it. I only played the demo but it changes a lot of the strategy game formula of fire emblem with each character's weaponry and ability. I personally enjoyed it and the style is charming.
Guys, not only does Arlo acknowledge all of the major issues of the world, but he also knows how to fix them with ease! Arlo for President 2020! Anyone?
-kind and even-tempered -speaks clearly and consistently -wouldn't attempt to destroy Sesame Street Yeah, I guess he would be a pretty straightforward improvement. Furry Blue Wave 2020!
I say Triforce Heroes. Has the same issues as other games you said. Really fun but hard to play with the need for multiple player for the best experience.
I’d love a port or follow-up of Tomodachi Life. It’s just such a great game to play casually, and there aren’t enough of those kinds of games on the Switch. Maybe Animal Crossing will fill that void soon, though.
Me too! That is My Hope for Tomodachi Life For Nintendo Switch!! If that Got Announced, I'm going To be So Pumped up for Tomodachi Life For Nintendo Switch and I'm now be Able to Make my own Failed Performance Just like how Nintendo Sword Made that Video filled with Failed Performances and Funny Fail Performances in Tomodachi Life
Codename S.T.E.A.M. - Agreed. Definitely deserves a second chance and would be a good addition to the Switch's library. Maybe a couple of more missions, updated graphics, and coop, you got yourself a solid release. Ever Oasis - It's being offered to me by Nintendo at 30% off because my birthday is this month. That said, never played it but a budget release on Switch would be welcomed. Metroid Samus Returns - I just finished this last week at 100% completion and it's easily one of my favorite 3DS games and dare I say, one of the best entries in the franchise. That said, I actually don't want Nintendo to focus on this. Rather, I'd rather Nintendo concentrate their efforts on a Super Metroid "3nhanced". Just my 2 cents. Kid Icarus: Uprising - ...Forget a port/remake/enhanced edition. I want a full fledged sequel to this game. Perhaps do a preorder bonus similar to how Nintendo offered LoZ: OoT/Master Quest for folks who pre-ordered LoZ: WW back in the GameCube days by offering folks a download code (yeah yeah, I know people would prefer an actual cartridge release but I'm trying to save Nintendo some money in this scenario) for the original KI:U on Switch or offer it for $20 on the eShop after the sequel is released. Metroid Prime Federation Force - I'm currently playing this and yes, this is definitely meant to be played cooperatively and the Switch would be perfect for that be it couch coop or online coop. However, I think the slower pacing/movement speed would feel off on the Switch. It made sense that you couldn't go full speed ahead on the 3DS because of the horsepower of the system, but it wouldn't make sense for it to pace like that on the Switch. I think that along with how the enemy A.I. react/move/etc would have to be retooled and honestly, I don't think it's worth Nintendo's time when they could focus on something else. Don't get me wrong, I like MPFF, but it should stay down.
@@vr8652 Both games are made by different studios within Nintendo so having one being made doesn't alter the time it takes to make the other. But yes please I want both sequels alot
I'll be the one person to defend Codename: STEAM. I absolutely enjoyed the game! It plays so much similarly to the XCOM series. Not to mention the fact that Intelligent Software gave the game amiibo support with the Smash Bros. Fire Emblem amiibo. Having a team of only Fire Emblem characters added a whole new (And significantly harder) way to play the game. The game was indeed held back by graphics, and the odd concept of Wizard of Oz and other Original Characters being thrown into a Steampunk would was a bit of an odd choice, but it was still an excellent game. If you happen to find it at any retail store (and have Robin, Marth, Ike and Lucina amiibo) I recommend giving Codename Steam (or Codename Fire Emblem as I like to call it :P ) a try!
Before watching the video, I already know #1 is Paper Mario: Sticker Star ... After watching: Metroid Prime Federation Force? Next best thing, that's crazy!
Code Name STEAM looks like a weird, interesting game. If it ever came on Switch (or perhaps, Switch 2), I would try it. It looks fun, with the whole idea of steampunk Americans being insane. Plus I listened to the soundtrack, which is really good (feels like the composer continued his style from Days of Ruin).
I'd love Miitopia on the switch, maybe with some new levels or classes as DLC. Monster hunter stories wouold be great too with the monsters that were cut out for no good reason
You know what would be cool. A pack of a few mii games, miitopia, tomodahci life, mii sports, for maybe $40 dollars. (I know it’s Wii sports but if they make it mii sports it would fit on the switch.

Also, Code Name S.T.E.A.M's movement isn't completely original, it's very similar to Valkyria Chronicles' movement system. There's also a really stupid difficulty spike that ultimately stopped me from recommending the game
Yeah! I played the demo and was all "Oh! This is just Valkyria Chronicles!"
There's a game called Fantasy Life by Level 5, which is for some reason is one of my favorite games of all time. I would kill to see it get on the Switch (okay maybe not kill, but I really want it for the switch).
Also Arlo is left handed? Wow...
Uprising just might be my favorite handheld game (and certainly in my Top 10 of all time). Such greatness on that tiny little cartridge...
If Codename STEAM comes to Switch, I will eat multiple hats but I would be happy.
Would you like ketchup or mustard?
Maybe you could try Valkyria chronicles
It has the same mechanics
Pss... others have gathered here:
discord.gg/JzK2fr
uh oh
Are we going to talk about kid Icarus uprising?
Yep.
I really want to see Miitopia on switch. It's actually really freaking good.
It's the reason I keep my 3DS and even if it comes to switch I forever will keep my 3DS.
lord of Ink games oh tons of reasons to keep playing the 3ds it’s a good handheld god like
Yeah fun but just a touch to repetitive at one point I just felt like I was ramming my head into a steel wall so a few tweaks are needed to resolve that and maybe expand the combat system and reduce the number of times you need to save your party and switch classes do that and I'm all for it at least until tomodachi life 2 is announced then it can unfortunately bite me
I agree, I thought it was pretty great. Despite how simplistic it was, it changed things up often enough to keep me from getting bored. Plus it's got a surprisingly hefty amount of content
Welp, your wish is now granted
I've always wanted Monster Hunter Stories on the switch. Or at least a sequel.
It didn't deserve the stigma that it got at launch for being a "pokemon clone".
Honestly in my opinion, it's better than Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
jahjab1226 so...
I'd love Monster Hunter Stories or Persona Q (2) on the switch (even though especially the second one is probably rather unlikely)
Yeah I dont know how the map drawing is suppose to work with one screen.
My list is
1-Fossil Fighters
2-Monster Hunter Stories
and that’s it because every other game I have on my 3DS already has a title on switch
Glad you mentioned the left handed thing. I literally skipped so many games because I can't use my off hand very well
Ohhh Arlo…watching this video 3 years later and little did you know the Metroid treat that was in store for you.
Miitopia

Bravely default/second deluxe edition would be great on switch
This comment has aged very well :)
There's BD2 on Switch now!
I think the Ocarina of Time remaster should be put in HD and ported to Switch. Even though it sold well, I want Ocarina in HD!
Me too! A Majora's mask/ Ocarina physical for switch would be amazing
Peter Haywood
I agree, but I literally just bought Ocarina 3D like a week ago.
Dillon's Rolling Western also suffered from poor controls on the 3ds and perhaps might benefit from a switch port maybe
I want Mighty Switch Force on the.. *Switch*
Or a third game
God yes
I adore Mighty Switch Force 2 It's Sucha Fun Lil Platformer And It On the Switch Would Make Me Actually finish it ^^`
NintendoHub their working on Shantae 5 tho
I want fantasy life on Switch. But Level-5 basically said no phones are better.
A huge part of Federation Force failing was REALLY BAD timing. It would've done better if Samus Returns was released first.
Well, that wasn't the only thing. If it was its own IP and not involved with Metroid at all, it would've been better.

I would do almost anything for a Codename S.T.E.A.M remake or sequel.
Ace Attorney. We got the original trilogy, and I think we should pull the trigger and do the second trilogy too
Well they DID port the whole fuckin thing to PS4 in HD. I so I think it's in the works?
@Zach the Cat I think they mean Apollo, Dual, and Spirits because that's kinda a saga granted that Apollo is a in-between. Investigations has been left to die and we will never see "The Great Ace Attorney" because Capcom are fucking cowards!
(Or they could get off their butts and actually make AA7 after teasing it for like 2 years. Too much to ask?)
The one game I'd pick would be Fantasy Life
YES me too
say it again for the people in the back!! The ONLY reason i play my 3DS nowadays is because of Fantasy Life! Im reaching 200 hrs in that game!
@@hodpodshay got 450 hours in after practically 100%, but still playing because of how funnnn it isss
@@hunky1013 I aspire to he where you are!!😂😂😂 I still have my cooking, fishing, and alchemy life to finish. It's so entertaining!!!
You know, I WOULD say I WISH Miitopia would have a switch port.
But then Nintendo shut me up and GAVE IT TO US!
You know what game would be perfect on switch?
Fantasy Life.
The best 3ds game
So much this!!
Yes.
Hear me out:
👏FANTASY 👏LIFE 👏FOR 👏SWITCH
Guys, not only does Arlo acknowledge all of the major issues of the world, but he also knows how to fix them with ease!
Arlo for President 2020!
Anyone?
CaptainYoshi64 Do you reall think a sentient talking puppet would be a president? Havent you ever read Goosebumps?
@@CheeseBlaster You have a point. Arlo is so great, it would be unfair to the competition.
I could vote for Arlo 2024. Can’t oppose my man Donald.
-kind and even-tempered
-speaks clearly and consistently
-wouldn't attempt to destroy Sesame Street
Yeah, I guess he would be a pretty straightforward improvement. Furry Blue Wave 2020!
Hey, better Arlo than he who shall not be named
I’ve wanted to play Bravely Default for quite a while but never got around to it, so I’d love to pick it up on the Switch
There BD2 on Switch !
I say Triforce Heroes. Has the same issues as other games you said. Really fun but hard to play with the need for multiple player for the best experience.
Arlo's speculation on why Samus Returns didn't sell well aged very well, considering how well Dread sold in comparison
I just bought Ever Oasis and it is very good!! The creator seems very passionate about it. The art style and music is super beautiful
I really want Miitopia on the switch it was so good
I’d love a port or follow-up of Tomodachi Life. It’s just such a great game to play casually, and there aren’t enough of those kinds of games on the Switch. Maybe Animal Crossing will fill that void soon, though.
I found tomodachi life more fun than animal crossing
before i watch the video:
- Fantasy Life
- Bravely Default (and Second)
- Ever Oasis
- Monster Hunter Stories
- Persona Q (and Q2)
Can confirm. I was interested in Ever Oasis but I completely forgot about it because I was only thinking about the Switch.
Same👌
Ever Oasis was an incredible experience. The interactions between my character and everyone else in the world were so heart-warming. :)
Great choices! I would however add the three Dillon's Rolling Western games as well, they're really good and unique!
did... did you use shadman footage for the mp federation force bit?

Tri Force Heroes would be fantastic with local co-op on one system
Yep, replace this with Fedoration Force and the video is better.
@@JB-tl8rj You haven't played it
When you mentioned co-op it reminded me of all the fun I had with Triforce Heroes and how I didnt end up finishing it. Now I want a port on Switch!!!
I am really hoping to one day see a Fantasy Life port on switch. I loved that game
Every day I pray for new (official) Kid Icarus content.
Every day I fall asleep disappointed.
Tomodachi Life is one of my favorite games of all time, and I pray for a sequel on the Switch
Don't get me wrong, I like MPFF, but it should stay down.
i want them to bring back Tomodachi Life or Miitopia
The Holy Ravenclaw same. I need to replay Miitopia
God DAMN IT THANK YOU ARLO FOR MENTIONING CODE NAME STEAM HOLY SHIT THAT GAMR IS UNDERATED
did arlo get his gameplay with Shadman?!? Wtf
Hehehe. I love the Shadman comments. We all know what that means. Next we need to see Zone-sama.
It's not the same guy. Look at his comment
“Dreaded Metroid curse” Arlo predicted Dread
Was thinking the same thing 😂
Are we just going to forget about miitopia, I believe it is worthy of a remaster/remake or hopefully a sequel on the switch.
Miitopia is only so good because it's older brother, Tomodachi life, was left in the dark, we need both. Preferably Tomodachi Life 2 first
@@vr8652 Both games are made by different studios within Nintendo so having one being made doesn't alter the time it takes to make the other.
Persona Q2 should get ported to the Switch. Man, I miss that game. So many memories.
U miss it when it just had been released?
Slasher0726 🤦♂️
Slasher0726 woooooosh
Hahah love your pic ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Slasher0726 I’m going to be courteous and not answer that question.
I feel like Fantasy Life really needs a second chance
Before watching the video, I already know #1 is Paper Mario: Sticker Star ...
After watching: Metroid Prime Federation Force? Next best thing, that's crazy!
Fantasy Life.
It deserves a second chance! Sooooo many hours you can pour into it.
EXACTLY!!
shoutout to fantasy life. It should really be on this list that game was amazing
There is another game... on mobile in Japan. Bleh.
Wow I thought I was the only one who bought it and enjoyed it.
Miitopia 2 when
I think these games would be great for the switch. Code Name Steam was my favorite, that game is definitely underrated
A mii centric game on the switch like..tomodachi life 2? Miitopia 2? Something new?
Ninja Sonic I I’m happy I’m not the only one who thinks that we need more mii games
YES! THANK YOU!
As I want a Mii Game for Nintendo Switch,
It has to Be Tomodachi Life For Nintendo Switch!
You know what would be cool. A pack of a few mii games, miitopia, tomodahci life, mii sports, for maybe $40 dollars. (I know it’s Wii sports but if they make it mii sports it would fit on the switch.
Wait I said $40 I meant $60 if it was 40 it would be $10 for 2 and $20 for one I don’t think they would go that cheap lol.
I know they are ds games and not 3ds games but I want to mention Final fantasy CC Echoes of time and Ring of fates. I think they are really nice games and deserve more appreciation. To be honest I really REALLY want a bundle of all crystal chronicles games in one on switch.
Edit: Just watched SE E3 and seems like we are getting FF CC remake! First time in my life half predicting something xD

We have a man of culture in here guys!
Instant like.
All they have to do is add every game in existence to the switch. PROBLEM SOLVED
I wish is was that easy!
1. Kid Icarus Uprising. (HD remake - maybe a few more weapons.)
2. Fire Emblem Awakening.
3. Xenoblade Chronicles (HD remake)
4. Any Dragon Quest on 3DS
5. Bravely Default (Series)
We just need a straight up sequel to Kid Icarus! Too bad Sakurai doesn't seem super interested...
Uprising is great and all, but I'mma need all of Dillon's games on the Switch ASAP.
