I would play Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time if they ran on the Breath of the Wild engine, with a few minor tweaks of course. Also we need a NEW Star Fox game, not another 64 remake
I think that having an OoT remaster would be cool, but I would love a complete redesign. As if they came up with OoT, but today. It would hit a lot of the same notes as the original, but I think it could be much bigger, with an even longer story (I mean, it was already pretty long lol), sidequests, and more enemies and such in the areas. I'm thinking Hyrule field being more like BotW, with a lot more exploration in each of the areas like Death Mountain or Gerudo Valley. I think there could be more towns are random events, and possibly optional dungeons. The BIGGEST stretch I would hope for in this massive Zelda would be some romance options (definitely still PG stuff ofc), different endings based on choices you make or quests you do, and then possibly some extra modes and difficulties. IDK if they would add MM onto that as something akin to DLC, or if it was also amplified to bigger proportions (tho maybe the 3-day thing might have something change, if more content was added). Anyways tl;dr Make Oot/MM a new game only based on the originals.
@@sullivans2004 I don't want a remake of Starfox 64; I just want Starfox 64. The multiplayer deathmatch mode was fucking awesome, and would be perfect for handheld mode with other people.
Those are all picks I want for sure. But my most wanted remaster has to be Kid Icarus Uprising, which not only do I want it but I feel like it's the game that deserves it the most. I would also love a Xenoblade Chronicles Remaster tbh.
Fzero GX Pikmin Pikmin 2 Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Wario World Super Mario Sunshine Star Fox: Assault Advanced Wars Paper Mario: THYD Mother 3. Yeah, all of these are either Gameboy or GameCube games.
@@scienceme9794 Yeah! I want to play Ike's games without having to plop down $140 minimum for one game! Also get a better English translation and dub, dual audio and Casual Mode (I personally don't use it, but I like that it's an option for those who are afraid of permadeath).
F-Zero GX with online capabilities (more than 4 people per race ideally) and a track editor is literally all us F-Zero fans want/need. Most of us would probably be fine if they left the graphics as-is since it looks great on the GameCube, but upscaled resolution would definitely not hurt.
ChrisMDB Agreed, but after playing GX again recently I wouldn’t mind a graphics boost, Something similar to Fast RMX in terms of lighting and sound, more maps could be well appreciated addition, Maybe add characters from GP legend and Maximum Velocity as well. And bring back death race from X, kinda like a racing battle royal. That, and a real story this time, as much as I love GX, but the story was kinda cheesy, in a good way, but not exactly the most appealing for modern audiences. I don’t just want GX with online, I want GX Deluxe. A new F-Zero could be an absolute fantastic game for Multiplayer like Splatoon. Nintendo just needs the heart to make new one.
- MadWorld, it’s Cel-Shaded, just up the res and it’s will look beautiful. - No More Heroes considering it’s the first has already been remastered for the PS3.
those aren't Nintendo games but I agree.... and Madworld could also benefit from having more traditional controls added ( those waggle controls were exhausting IMO ).
I'd love to see a Skyward Sword remaster. I feel it was a great game held back by a few bad design decisions which could be fixed with a single line of code (cough cough 10 second resetting collection cut scene cough). On the technical side, they could also boost the view distance to an acceptable level and I'll bet the joy-cons would give much more accurate feedback than the motion+ controllers.
I want Chibi-Robo: Plug Into Adventure for pretty much the same reason you want Paper Mario. I love that game and want more people to be able to play it. Chibi-Robo came out so late in the Gamecube's life that so many people missed out on it, but it's an absolutely fantastic title that I wish more people paid attention to.
The rambling intro is a perfect example of why I first subbed Arlo three months ago, listened to his Zelda review while painting the house, and will forever have Saria's song with lyrics stuck in my head.
Mine 1- Majoras Mask+ Ocarina Of Time 2- Punch out (with Motion Controls) 3- Skyward Sword 4- Mario 64+ sunshine 5- Pikman 6- Wii Sports 7- Original LOZ in 3D 8- Metroid Prime Trilogy (with able to use VR goggles) 9- Mario Galaxy 1+2
It got a port already for the New Nintendo 3DS XL Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series & Knuckles. Xenoblade Chronicles is likely good enough as it is.
JeepusChrystler Having just played through the 3DS port of Xenoblade, I think it very faithfully recreates it to the point where a Switch port isn’t as necessary (unlike Luigi’s Mansion, if that port really is that botched). As for X, yeah sure, I’d happily let that be more accessible, but I straight up got bored with that one as soon as I reached NLA, when the numbered games and Torna had no problems hooking me.
Yes -- Xenoblade Chronicles was amazing even with the limitations of the Wii hardware. Now, imagine an HD remaster on Switch. "Let the shackles be released!"

No Kid Icarus Uprising, this list saddens me. Mind you there's enough 3DS games that deserve to be remastered and put on Switch that it could be a separate top 10 list.
Mother 3 (just make it look a _little_ bit better and remove the copyrighted sound effects) and legend of Zelda: orical of ages and seasons (using the same things being used for the link's awakening remake)

Mario Sunshine got a port as part of 3D All-stars No remaster for Prime 2 or 3 yet, but Prime 1 got a remaster beyond Arlo's wildest dreams Galaxy 1 was part of All-stars; no galaxy 2 though Luigi's Mansion hasn't had a remaster yet, but we're getting a Luigi's Mansion 2 remaster, *and* we got Luigi's Mansion 3 TTYD is getting a faithful and ambitious remaster
I'd like to see Pokemon XD and Coliseum get remasters on the Switch. As well as the First Chibi Robo game. I'd also love to see Wario Land The Shake it Dimension to get a simple port...
it's now January of 2024 and you got most of these right, great job. Pikman 1 & 2 are remastered, at least the first Metroid prime is fully remastered. Super mario sunshine and galaxy were ported, paper mario is on N64 online and Thousand year door is being remastered. it's like Nintendo saw this video and loved your ideas. Sadly no Luigi's mansion yet but Luigi's mansion 2 is getting remastered. It's crazy how accurate you were here
Here are some games I would love to see get a remaster on the Nintendo Switch. I am also including some third party games on this list. 1. Kid Icarus: Uprising 2. Star Fox Zero (improved controls) 3. Tail Concerto & Solatorobo: The Red Hunter 4. Lunar: Silver Star Story 5. Mother 3 6. Pokemon Black and White 7. Excitebike: World Rally 8. Kirby Air Ride 9. TimeSplitters trilogy 10. Rhythm Thief

@@izzyDbuzzin The switch has two joysticks, rather than just one circle-pad on the 3ds, so they could just use that. When playing with one joycon, one of the joysticks could be replaced by motion controls.

My top 10 list is 1. Wind Waker 2. Prime Trilogy 3. Twilight Princess 4. Prime Trilogy 5. Wind Waker 6. Twilight Princess 7. Twilight Princess 8. Prime Trilogy 9. Wind Waker 10. Prime Trilogy
Here is my list: 10. The whole Pikmin Trilogy, preferably in a collection. 9. Super Mario Sunshine. For obvious, next gen water graphics related reasons. 8. A Super Mario 64 DS upgrade port, with some new added content like 64 to 64DS. maybe a certain purple plumber? 7. Luigi's Mansion 1 AND 2. Maybe as a collection or separate budget titles, but they both could use the power of the Switch. 6. Metroid Prime Trilogy. 5. More 2D Zelda games like the Oracle games, in the style of the new Link's Awakening. 4. Mother 3. (Maybe in a Mother Trilogy collection?) Do it already Nintendo, you know we want it. 3. A Mario Party collection game, basically the Top 100 except not botched and includes EVERYTHING, not cherry picked stuff. (If I wanna go ham with my wishes, let us have different gameplay styles on different boards, like Orbs on MP1 boards.) 2. Pokemon Colosseum and XD, they are amazing games that need a remaster. 1. Paper Mario and TTYD. TTYD is easier to do and that's why I feel it's more likely. But if they remaster 64 I actually hope they try and update it to be like TTYD, as the original version fully stands up on it's own still.
Personally, my number one game that needs a remaster is Skyward Sword. The main reason so many people hate that game is the controls. If they just redid it so the combat wasn't waggle controls, I think people would appreciate it much more. That and give us more to do in the sky (see Barry Kramer's _How About Skyward Sword's Sky?_ on Grump Out). They might have to rebuild the game from the ground up, but I think it would be worth it.
They could also update the controls to use the Joy Cons, seeing as they're much more accurate than the Wiimotes. But yes, I would prefer if they offer both options. Same with with a Metroid Prime Trilogy remaster. I would want regular controls for those games as well.
@@kazoorion7993 Fair point. I agree they that if they remaster it they should reel back the hand holding and I already mentioned the sky. There are of course other things, like stamina which they tried to make important but then also made it pointless by having a stamina flower every 5 feet.
@@Ponaru I said it was the main reason for many people, not all people. I'm not saying that fixing the controls would make it a perfect game, but I also think it gets an unfairly bad rap, in large part because of them.
I'd be totally happy with a port, but I think it would be great if they upped some parts of the graphics of X, even if it's just draw distance and reducing pop-in and load times.
Would be pretty cool to see Xenoblade Chronicles to get a high upgrade in graphics... and have a chance to play X, since I couldn't get into it, leaving Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as my first Xenoblade game I completed (I watch Chuggaaconroy's LP for 1 and have barely seen anything of X, with me only exploring the outside area and never reached the city due to me having fun grinding). ....also when will the day come when they decide to make tons of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Merch? I just want something like a Plush of Nia.
Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door is my number 1, hands down, no question favorite game of all time. I'd re-buy my entire gamecube library on the Switch... I wish I understood why Nintendo hasn't/won't.
in my opinion most N64 and Gameboy games games have aged like milk and would all benefit from a remaster. imagine ocarina of time but in HD, 30 fps, and new character models.
My remaster wish list is: 1. Hotel Mario 2. Link and the Faces of Evil 3. Lego Star Wars TCS (with levels from the new movies) 4. Banjo-Kazooie 5. Waluigi's Taco Stand 64
I just want to say that Arlo's monologue from 14:01 to 14:38 is so beautifully written. I had to rewatch it, like, 5 times to even begin to acknowledge how gorgeous the wordplay is. Shakespeare, eat your heart out.

I agree with most of your video, Arlo. I agree that Pikmin 1 through 3 should all get remasters on the Switch. I also agree that Super Mario Sunshine needs to be remastered, but might I include for the Paper Mario series that the first three games in the series (Paper Mario, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, and Super Paper Mario) all need to come to Switch for remaster. And, Luigi's Mansion as well (even though I still want the 3DS remake). I've also never played Metroid or Zelda, so I can't give my opinions on those. And, some video games I want to be remastered for the Switch, off the top of my head are the original Animal Crossing for Gamecube (in addition to Animal Crossing Switch), all Fatal Frame games to be remastered (even the Deep Crimson Butterfly one [ a remake of Crimson Butterfly]) and for these games to release in the US and Europe as well [in addition to the possibility of Fatal Frame 6), and I want Pokemon Generations 2 through 7 to be remastered for the Switch as well. Even for the ones that have been already re-released on virtual console, or already been remade. There's already Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee for Switch, so I didn't include Generation 1.
I would love to see Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn get HD remasters! (Would also like the 3DS games and Xenoblade to get remasters, but I have my priorities with PoR and RD)

I'd like to see Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time on the Switch... and probably Starfox 64.
Just polish up the 3DS versions, stick 'em on a cart, and slap it with a $30 price tag. I'll happily hand over my monies.
The thing is the 3DS version of Majora's Mask is genuinely worse than the original. It's less of a "remaster" and more of a "demaster"
Those are all picks I want for sure.
But my most wanted remaster has to be Kid Icarus Uprising, which not only do I want it but I feel like it's the game that deserves it the most. I would also love a Xenoblade Chronicles Remaster tbh.
Well lucky you
I'd love Kid icarus on the switch, or even a sequel would be amazing, I'd want free flight controls this time around though
I'd kill to get a Xenoblade Chronicles remaster on switch.

NMH 1 and 2. But yeah, for one they just need to port the PS3 version, so it'll be easy.
those aren't Nintendo games but I agree.... and Madworld could also benefit from having more traditional controls added ( those waggle controls were exhausting IMO ).

I disagree, it's a crime that a game with environments as beautiful as Xenoblade Chronicles has never been made available in HD

Wow this video aged incredibly well
Punch out Wii deserves a remaster the controls are extremely responsive and the game even looks very good.
Not really. There are other things people hated so much like the excessive hand-holding and the lack of incensitive of exploring the Sky.
Yeah the controls are just one entry in a long list of issues I have with Skyward Sword...

Please, is that too much to ask
X might be difficult but I can see a xenoblade chronicles remaster happening.
I'd be totally happy with a port, but I think it would be great if they upped some parts of the graphics of X, even if it's just draw distance and reducing pop-in and load times.
emulate them on cemu and dolphin both games look great at 4k
Would be pretty cool to see Xenoblade Chronicles to get a high upgrade in graphics... and have a chance to play X, since I couldn't get into it, leaving Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as my first Xenoblade game I completed (I watch Chuggaaconroy's LP for 1 and have barely seen anything of X, with me only exploring the outside area and never reached the city due to me having fun grinding).
....also when will the day come when they decide to make tons of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Merch? I just want something like a Plush of Nia.
