- 'So I Married an Axe Murderer' is a 1993 American comedy-horror film starring Mike Myers and Nancy Travis. Funny scene with Mike Myers and his Scottish father (Mike plays his own father here). Mike's father (Stuart Mackenzie) has a strong opinion that "if it's not Scottish it's crap." And Mike's little brother has a 'big head.'
Stuart Mackenzie: Thirty years ago today, May and I were married. Some of you were there, some of you weren't born, and some of you are now DEED! But, we both said "I do," and we haven't agreed on a single thing since.
May Mackenzie: That's true!
Stuart Mackenzie: But I'm glad I married you, May, because hey, could've been worse.
Stuart Mackenzie: "Alright, give your mother a kiss, or I'll kick your teeth in."
Stuart Mackenzie: Well, it's a well known fact, Sonny Jim, that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentavirate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows.
Tony Giardino: So who's in this Pentavirate?
Stuart Mackenzie: The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, and Colonel Sanders before he went tits up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee beady eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!"
Charlie Mackenzie: Dad, how can you hate "The Colonel"?
Stuart Mackenzie: Because he puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes ya crave it fortnightly, smartass!
Stuart Mackenzie: Alright, we have a piper who's down. It's alright, he's just pissed. We have a piper down, I repeat, a piper is down!
Stuart Mackenzie: [as Harriet is meeting Charlie's parents for the first time] Show her the picture of Charlie when he shit his pants at Niagara Falls!
Look at the size of that boy's heed.
I'm not kidding, it's like an orange on a toothpick.
Well, that's a huge noggin. That's a virtual planetoid.
Has it's own weather system.
HEAD! MOVE!
I'm not kidding, that boy's head is like Sputnik; spherical but quite pointy at parts! Now that was offside, wasn't it? He'll be crying himself to sleep tonight, on his huge pillow.

Anthony La Paglia must have been laughing for real in that scene, I couldn't keep a straight face if I was him.
Don't think any North American has ever nailed Scottish family life quite as well as Mike Myers does here. It is absolutely spot-on.
@Rob Thomas Yeah, I should have made clear that I meant a North American actor in a movie. Well aware of the diaspora in Nova Scotia, I have cousins there.
I think his dad was a Scot.
@@Phucough3 his parents are from Liverpool
Head move 😂 most people in Scotland have had that said to them at least once
damn Shrek
lol
Damn it I'm two years too late. I guess he only has one fake accent down. 1993, then in 2001 someone just said, "Hey, can you use the same accent you did in, So I Married an Axe Murderer"?,
"Look at the size of that Boi's Heed!"
Charlie Stuart Mackenzie and William Wallace "Head" MacKenzie
Kid looks like Larry Fine!

Ummm... at what point during the "If it's not Scottish, it's crap!" scene do we actually here someone say, "If it's not Scottish, it's crap!"?
I love the food frying in the background
This was a hit and miss film, but it had some pretty funny moments.
😂 I like the eyeglasses. My great uncle wore glasses just like that.
I sympathize... when I was in 6th grade my head had enough gravitational pull to keep the various middle school stickers and novelty pencil paraphernalia in orbit around it. My body was about half what it (should) weigh now, but my head was about 95% as big as it is now- literally speaking. Luckily this was back before social media memed everything about everyone, and drove them to suicide for no decent reason other than their head being comically out of proportion to their shrimp-like body. I decided "when in Rome" and just made head-butting my signature move. It was middle school and my aim sucked, so no one got seriously hurt. Mostly it was just an occasion for mutual mocking and practicing competitive stupidity. Cool story, huh, bruh? Yeah...lessee you do better ;)

Uh uh. No way in hell is Myers on the same level as Sandler. They may have been on the Same SNL season but never the same level. He's not perfect but he's sure as hell better than almost bad.
Shanethefilmmaker
I disagree. At the height of their respective careers, Meyers easily catapulted above Sandler's stardom.
Dana Carvey will always be a better comedic partner than Rob Schneider.
However, love all around for the 90s alumni of SNL and finally RIP Phil Hartmann.
