I am ALWAYS so impressed how you take so much time to properly learn how to pronounce everyone's name in their own tongue. It shows such a high level of respect for the athlete and their culture. ❤️
I love Konnor's series on beam! I hope she's in the lineup on beam every week. Bonus of seeing her compete in college!
I always loved seeing Trinity Thomas compete. I would so love to see her back on the US team.
Simone continues to impress me and good for Eythora upgrading her routines
Yeah. Simone’s Yurchenko full-in especially impresses me. With Eythora training an upgraded bars routine, what if she wins an UB medal in Paris? 😉
@@thecreativegeek7886 Her D-Score was 5.5 before, right? With the bhardwaj it's 5.7 which is still low for a bars final. She would need at least a 6.2 to be a contender(unless all the others make mistakes)
@@thecreativegeek7886I don’t think she’ll contend for a bars medal. An AA medal? It’s certainly possible! She finished fifth at worlds this year, so she can’t be counted out.
@@gabrielfreitas1263 I'm thinking Eythora's goal is something like a top-5 AA finish in Paris. With a few upgrades and if she has her best meet, it could happen. She finished 6th AA at worlds this year, though in part because of a lot of heavy hitters had bad nights. I crunched some numbers after worlds, and based on median scores throughout worlds, Eythora was ranked 9th over all, and I'm thinking she wants to improve on that!
My dream Paris Games would be if Simone debuts the Yurchenko full-in! 😍
I would love to see her bring back her full amount of difficulty including possible upgrades and completely spank the field.
She already unveiled it at the world championships
Congratulations to Simone Biles, for excelling in something that you worked so hard for your entire life In the field of gymnastics, there are many that are great however, You are by far the BEST in women's gymnastics I've ever seen! Also you Excel in life! You're a fine young lady who sets a wonderful example of hard work and integrity worthy of imitation. I hope and pray you and your loving husband (also a stellar athlete) continue to be blessed with joy in life Together, great careers, good health, and a happy life as best friends, as husband and wife!❤
Simone and Trinity updates 😄😄😄😄😄😄
Biles’ new vault would be properly rated as a 7.0 due to the YDT being a 6.2 and additional 0.4 for each half turn.
Where do you get 6.2 from for the Yurchenko double tuck? Hasn't it never been performed in competition, so we don't know what it would be rated?
@@NF30 The WTC gave the YDP a 6.4 to leave room for the YDT, which would be rated 6.2. YDP was going to originally be a 6.2 as it was provisionally rated a 6.6 last quad, but, as stated above, they left room for the YDT.
@@NF30 that was the suggestion so that the pike was 6.4 the tuck would be a 6.2
@@erinames7783 Why wouldn't the Yurchenko double tuck be a 6.0 though? Because the Produnova is a 6.0, so it would make sense
@@NF30 I saw a video where they talked to Simone and Laurent when they were trying to confirm the YDP start value and that was the reasoning given for the 6.4 that the tuck would be 6.2 and the technical committee must have agreed because the YDP got the 6.4
Why is nobody talking about Simone working TRIPLE BACK PIKES into the pit?! 😭❤
Eythora's bhardwaj is so pretty! Most gymnasts make that skill look really awkward, but Eythora just floats! I love her
i'd give anything to see the yurchenko double tuck 1/1 performed, such an amazing vault
Simone doing a vault so difficult that it's never been done by a man is wild
@@leykimayrihe/she means the vault has never been done in competition by a man.
I think it's an awesome feat, but if you rewind to before Simone there was Makaela Maroney- her Amanar was more explosive, higher and traveled farther than that of the then male king of the gymnastics Japan's Kohe Uchimora (if my spelling is off i'm sorry). Just an example of when the women can outshine the men. Simone I think will always continue to push boundaries and laws of physics to truly show there is no glass ceiling; the sky is truly the limit.
@@kamilaford5752 Enjoy leykimayri here, he/she is a well-known gymanstics troll.
@@khelisiesalvatore8173 Women have somewhat of an advantage in Yurchenko vaults because their shoulders are more flexible. Roundoffs help convert horizontal energy into height, but despite their extra strength and power, men can't fully take advantage of that due to their stiff shoulders. Therefore it is not unexpected that women can sometimes be as good as the men for Yurchenkos.
@@leykimayri Why are you always there fighting against Simone
I have noticed this, anytime she is mentioned or something is said in her favor. You are always there to oppose. That's fkn annoying mind you
I absolutely love Simone's vaults! But I get why she won't do the Biles I vault. It's easy to see she'd likely sit it down if it was on competition mat. But the YDP and Full in version is just otherwordly!
omg I want simone to perform the yuchenko double tuck 1/1
I'd love to see it. But she is really low. Her head is at floor height with half a flip still to go. Its a lot of vault. Maybe if she finds a way to trade some of the distance for even more lift? I don't know.
These ladies are phenomenal
Becky downie bars routine:
Stalder 1/1 + Derwael-Fenton + Ezhova
Maloney + Ricna + Bhardwaj
Van Leeuwen
Full-In
Total = 6.6 D-score
actually 6.7 if derwael-fenton gets credited, if not, 6.5
It’s IMPOSSIBLE for her to do a Maloney + Ricna + Pak full combo!
She can get a 6.3 - 6.7 set if she can do at least most of what she’s training in the same routine (with a smart construction) tho.
@@mustawgym i'm not sure it's impossible for her specifically, she's been doing the uprise out of the Maloney for more than 10 years now so that Maloney + Ricna is going to be way more comfortable for her than basically anyone else doing it. for anyone else I would agree but her experience with this counter rotation on the tkatchev following shap might enable it. I'm not she plans otherwise incorporate both the Derwael-Fenton and the Ricna into the routine
could be clownin' here but i want Eythora 2024
Me too! Reality-wise, a top-5 AA finish is realistic for her. Bronze is out of reach though, I think, unless she comes with some MAJOR upgrades and has the meet of her life.
@@erinm9445 So true, but her artistry and skill is INCREDIBLE
Happy New Year.
Should we add a spring loaded vaulting table?!
It’s already spring loaded. Has been since 2017.
in the stand portion, so that once it is pressured down by the table top, it pushes back upwards?@@tambam6744
I' m absolutely convinced that Biles will land a 3. And it will happen before FS' s land a 5 a before she points her feet.
Simones yurchenko double full would be 7.0 d. YDT 6.2 YDP 6.4 YDT 1/2 6.6 YDP 1/2 6.8 YDT FULL 7.0
I love the Dutch. They remind me of the gymnastics of old times, when artistry and flow mattered.
Rebeca who?
I believe Simone could challenge the men on VT.
@@leykimayri VT is the in both MAG & WAG.
Sometimes I wonder about the various apparatuses used by the men and women and wonder what changing the genders would do to the routines. Like how would a male gymnast approach the balance beam? Or what would a rings routine performed by a woman look like? How would their disciplines approach these apparatuses and what would the resulting routines look like?
@@leykimayri Well yes. I am speaking in regard to the difficulty and execution of each vault. Biles’s vault difficulty and execution (when scaled) could challenge the men.
Nope. She can only do Yurchenko and Yurchenko half ons, not the (generally) higher scoring front vaulting that men are better at than women due to shoulder strength.
@@Victoria-iu5sb The vault in the video is literally a 6.0 in the men’s code. That’s around the D-score of the most difficult vaults by the top vaulters in MAG. Iirc, her Biles II is a 5.6, also very competitive.
Hope Simone Biles retires at the top of her game after 24 Olympics
Just remember-she may be an Olympic medalist but her HUSBAND is the real prize. 🤡
Why is she practicing skills she doesn't need to win the All Around next year??!?. Hopefully she stays healthy and doesn't get the "twisties" again.
What stupid comment is this? ALL gymnasts practice different skills all the time. It does not mean any of them will make it to a competition but since the open code just about EVERY gymnasts is pushed either by their own ambition or by the competition to upgrade. Simone most certainly does not NEED to upgrade anywhere except on beam but she is the type of athlete who always pushes the boundaries of her ability because, as she said, *SHE CAN* . Btw, just about EVERY skill out there from the basic to the very difficult involve TWISTING to varying degree so, whether she practices a new skill or do the old ones would not ensure that she 'doesn't get twisties again'.
She wants to push the limit of her sports, not just winning one single event.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 I don't know if there is anything she can upgrade on beam without unnecessary risks. I think working on execution may work wonder for her on beam if she aims for a beam gold.
@@cocoroni1031 Well it is just my opinion. On every other apparatus (except bars of course) Simone need only perform near her best to win but on beam I just feel the Chinese in particular could have a more difficult routine and the execution to match in order to best her best.
Simone wants GOLD on beam more than ANYTHING ( AA too) so I KNOW she will do all within her power to get that elusive Olympic beam title. Upgrades fall within the category of 'all within her power'.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 Sorry for my stupidity LMAO....just bringing up what we all know what happened last time. So I dont understand why she's taking that chance so close to Paris. Just bringing up a relevant point. JMHO ;-) Happy New Year!
