  • Connor and I fix my wife's Calypso Creampuff headlights. They were pointed straight down and the adjust screws we're stripped. In this video we install LMR's headlight finishing kit.

    I can’t tell you how much your video came in handy! I have a ‘92 Summertime Special, and when I got it, the headlights were point maybe 10’ if front of it. As it turned out, the alignment plate was busted on the passenger side, and LMR came to the rescue for the parts. Plus, like you said, amazing shipping, Waco to SA. You definitely have a subscriber now! Can’t wait to see more

      Aweomse! love hearing this helped you out. Thanks for subbing. And BTW I have zero affiliation to LMR. They sponsor other youtubers, I just love the website navigation, fast shipping and fair prices for guys keeping these on the road.

    Lol. So funny. I was just searching YT for headlight adjustment the other day but I don't have the special wrench and ain't gonna buy it. I decided to just remove the light & bucket and use a screw driver from the other side (inside) to adjust the screws. Then I went back on YT like I do every night and saw your video today.
    Long story short, we don't need to buy new buckets. After we take them off we can turn the screws from the backside to adjust them.
    PS - your Calypso color looks a little bit like the Cowboys seafoam pants.

      lol right on. Yeah, I mean I just bought tool, figured either I'd get use out of it, or buddies with foxes can borrow it.

    Mike the Anti-Slosh Module Voltage Regulator on the cluster maybe bad causing the gas gauge to not work correctly. I had the same problem I replaced the sending unit in my tank first and it didn't fix the problem.

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  2 года назад

      Cool, yeah, might just replace it to be safe, its just "off" will run out of gas when about 1/4 left on the gauge.

    Woah. When you started the Calypso and the hood latch dropped the hood down, man the same thing happened to me just yesterday and it freaked me the hell out at first because I didn't know what happened and I was also doing some work on mine in my driveway, so I thought I screwed something up and broke something!

    Okay, my third comment for this video. The gas gauge on my '87 LX 5.0 is also funny. It stays on full until I get down to about 4 gallons left then it drops to show between 1/8 to 1/4. It works normally from there down to fully empty.

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  3 месяца назад +1

      Her car does the smae thing. It likely needs a new fuel / anti-slosh module, that plugs in behind the cluster.

    Nice ride for sure! Real clean for a daily. I was curious how your headlight buckets would work. Had the same problem with 2 different aftermarket sets. This is one of those parts where OEM is the ticket. Nice, honest review FTW!

      Yep, pretty junk. If I did it over Id only buy the adjustment screws and swap em.

    Aweosme! Don’t put the LED’s back in. Get/make a relay harness for the halogen bulbs. It puts full power to the bulbs and takes the load off of the headlight switch. Did it to my 65k mile 89 GT and the halogen lights are now brighter than my fiancés 2016 focus ST3.

    • @eddymac2052
      @eddymac2052 2 года назад

      Yes adding a relay makes a big difference but leds light are brighter and uses very little wattage on the charging system. I installed leds on my 4 eye 86 with a relay and its a huge difference from stock

      They use less power yes, but when it snows, I can't stand led lights. They get covered with snow, and they don't get warm enough to melt it. That's why I never made the jump personally

    I just (FINALLY) got my first Fox. 1989 LX 5.0 hatchback. I’m going to give this another view this evening and make sure my headlights are aimed fine. Also rewired the LED bulbs from my SN95 from 9007 pin out to 9004 and those are going in today.

      @@HOUSEOFDULA actually it was stolen from Hangar 128 apartments in Everett, WA in the early morning hours of 3/4. Washington state plates CDA6467. White 1989 Mustang LX 5.0 Hatchback with a sun roof. Missing the exterior plastic trim along the driver side window, and the remaining bolts look like holes from a distance.

      Update: RECOVERED.
      They took my cold air intake MAF sensor and all, my battery, broke the battery tray, got a flat and ditched my rim somewhere so it was on a donut. Ripped my windshield wiper switch out so those are stuck on. Backed into something so there’s a hole in my bumper and my tail lights are smashed. Ripped a huge hole in the driver side door keyhole. SHREDDED my ignition.
      Luckily most of the damage is either manageable or already fixed. New 10 hole Mustang wheels on with snow tires but at least they match. MAF sensor I pick up tomorrow and new driver side door this weekend.

    Have question on the adjustment on the headlights and aiming them properly. If you are standing in front of headlights and with the tool to adjust them which way do you turn the wrench clockwise facing the car or counterclockwise?

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  7 месяцев назад +1

      Should be standard thread, so facing the car, clockwise will bring the screw in and raise the lens, counter clockwise will lower it.

    Hey, I was wondering if you could tell me what size the square tubing was that you modified your engine hoist with? I've looked through your vids, and can't find the right video where you showed it. I need mine to get some more reach before I drop this 351 in. It was a bit of a struggle with the 302. THANKS!

      LATE REPLY! Better than never I guess lol I honestly dont recall, I have a pile of leftover metal from projects and that just happened to fit and was very thick walled. Just ensure the wall thickness is plenty strong to support that weight and leverage.

Thing to remember though is she drives very seldom, 4-5 days a week and only 5-10 miles to, maybe store and back. Shes cuts hair and has a booth rental she only needs to get to work and run errands and pick up my son from school.
