Their tactics NEVER disappoint me. Goblin Slayer taught Priestess well.
Priestess really has grown into their second greatest tactician. The other two don't disappoint, but she is amazing at thinking outside the box.

Remember. The goddess is very upset if you use her blessings to turn goblin into water and cause them to die of stroking out. But, the goddess is pretty ok with you dropping a protection charm down on an elevator shaft and letting physics work its course
To be fair the spell is doing its intended purpose this time of protecting them from an enemy. Just so happens there is an elevator trying to get by too
As we all learn very quickly, there’s a massive grey area between light and darkness and what one can do in that range.
I feel like this season the priest carrying the whole team to escape death multiple times. Compare to ss1 her character is well developed. It is like the foreshadow that she has potential to surpass the sword maiden. This was great season. Hopefully they still make another season 😊

I was skeptical on Season 2 since it's been years since Season 1, but I've been impressed with this season overall.

My only hope is that just like they did for Goblin's Crown, they turn the Harvest Festival Arc into a movie as well

I thought it was good too, but it felt rushed at points. Like the whole final battle felt way better paced in S1. This time, you get a huge hand in the last episode and as an anime only, I am not even sure what it exactly it was able to do. Didn't seem that dangerous considering that the party had quite the low ranking over all. The whole other party that fought something on a mountain never lead anywhere and Goblin Slayer used his super scroll against a total of 5 goblins. Which was already dumb when it happened (as 5 goblins aren't a threat to him) but became even dumber in retrospect when we learn he knew they would need to fight their way out again.

A giant hand boss battle not the first time we've seen something like that but a huge pain to deal with.
Especially if you used Kirby to get to him in smash 😅

Damn, Goblin Slayer's been lifting, he threw that giant hand like a football! Also, this was a nice season finale, I'm gonna miss this show but now I have the light novel and abridged series to look forward to.
It helps that he covered the thing in some kind of slippery oil. Really hard to fight back when you have no traction to anchor yourself.

@@Odd1337 I'm not saying it doesn't need a lot of strength. I'm just saying it helps that the Demon Fingers are slippery and covered in oil. Also, probably has a lot of frost on the ground since it used a Blizzard spell

Master Hand just ran into that most powerful of WoW bosses: The Elevator Boss. Doesn't matter your level, if you mis-time getting on, you just get flattened.

I swear that goddess really needs to be more clear. How is smashing enemies against barriers ok but turning goblin blood to water a bad thing!?

Only bad if used directly
To alter blood into water like that is something that sounds grotesque and unnatural, you're altering something's natural state, which is against the Earth Mother's teachings. Using protection to serve as a wall to have enemies squashed is not altering the natural order.
Basically, using spells directly on the enemy, bad, using spells indirectly on the enemy, good.
Priestess is learning quite well from GS in using environmental kills with her purely defensive spell arsenal.

Bear in mind, that was just the hand of the demon lord, and it was so powerful they could only defeat it by using the elevator to crush it. Imagine how powerful the actual demon lord would be.

Also, in the novel, it was stated that the hand was starved and weakened because a goblin soul was not enough to fully power the hand. Just the hand.

I like that the main characters have been getting good character development. This season was easily a 9/10!

Elevators are some of the most deadly things in games after all. Trick your enemy into going into it and watch the chaos unfold.

So the hand potentially has enough power to smash through the protection spell, but the elevator travelling fast enough to squish it doesn't?
Except the protection spell wasn't smashed. It held on. And it required the hand multiple attempts to even damage it. Secondly, pretty sure the hand was bashing at it with more force than the elevator. The hand was being compressed.

1) That's why I said POTENTIALLY - if it can crack the spell, it has enough power to break through given enough attempts
2) That's entirely my point. If the hand is bashing with more force than the elevator, then the hand would have squished itself before the elevator ever got there... How is a lesser force from the elevator supposed to destroy the hand? If the hand is stronger than the elevator, why couldn't it just push the elevator back down?
Wouldn't the scene have just been so much cooler if the elevator suddenly burst through the protection spell at the insane speed it was travelling at and crushed the hand on the roof above?
Elevator was certainly sloeer at impact than what the hand was inflicting at Protection wall, it seemed to work like a hydraulic press, slowly squishing it

@@CrashSable Like I said, compression vs unidirectional force. Same thing as Andre said. Can you exert the same amount of force when your entire body is squished between two objects? You can't, because of the amount of force applied onto you per square length. Inch, feet, meter, doesn't matter because the elevator and the barrier had its entire body pinned. On top of that, the demon hand is fighting against gravity as well because it has no foothold other than the walls to brace itself. Learn some physics. It's the same reason why strong people can still be chained down and trapped. By raw strength, they could probably lift the chain or break it if they smashed it hard enough against something, but once you bind down a sizable amount of their mass and joints, they're stuck.
I'm hoping the abridged for this will have the elevator making truck honking noises as it approaches

This group of people should be a bit higher than Silver don't you think? And Priestess needs to grow more.

I know everyone wants GS be shipped with someone, but his sheer focus and determination is what’s keeping him from finally moving on and maybe start something. Plus he views priestess as a kid that he raised and to me, it’s never gonna happen. And priestess just wants to support him, but we all know in our hearts that if GS ever does move on, he’s marrying cowgirl.
Well I think that he would at least need to minimize his goblin killing, and right now they already show his development to do things outside of that, since his "new" friends want to do normal things outside of that and make him more human. He was never crazy or emotionless, he is the opposite really. Just broken and fixated which needs to be slowly changed. Priestess was never an option to begin with, it is either cow girl, guild girl or sword maiden. All three fell completely to him and want him for themselves, especially Sword Maiden
@@Guzioo It won't be sword maiden either. Cow girl and Guild girl who it is between them will be the one who accepts both sides of him.
@@-o-dq7nd Yes I know, I just said that the three are into him, and that Sword Maiden is the most "aggresive" towards that. But yeah, cow girl is like 99% going to be the winner, but guild girl is still an option
@@Guzioo I actually love guild girl, but her lack of self confidence is what’s dragging her back and she’s a career girl… unless she herself decides to make a move. Either way, glad our replies are civil. Rare these days and I’m thankful.

Honestly, I don't know what so good thing this anime has. The story is not good, the main character is boring, but there's something that holds you at front of the screen. Waiting for the 3rd season.
Since when they add a hand who is the same size as the real Master hand and Crazy hand now we got new one and this is one is call the Demon hand

I have been wondering for a while, so isn't the world where goblin slayer lives a magical world? So why isn't he becoming stronger?
it's based on table top so like primarily D&D meaning no video game logic here, just good'ol pen and paper (and why the mages specifically have Spell slots etc). He is becoming stronger but he's a purely martial class. I dunno if they've ever had actual "classes" applied to them but I'd say he's clear designed to be a Fighter: Battlemaster.
I would say Ranger but he doesn't have ANY magic so that's kinda ruled out, he does however roll crits A LOT (that's what his glowing eye moments are for as a visual que) and that screams superiority die.
so yeah in short the world IS magical but in the classic RPG sense, not in modern "fantasy world means pop up inventory screens" sense...and he isn't personally magical sooooo

So... She totally Killed that hand... Did she finally say "Screw it" to her supposed oath?
The oath is still kept because the use of protection was to keep the hand away from the party (aka what it meant to do protect). The time she was given a warning from her deity was when the use of purify (to cleanse) was not used for its intended purpose (she used it to purify the blood of the suppose goblin and transmute it to water, essentially drowning it).
