3 years since she left us! Great that we have these fabulous live performances that prove that she was much more than A disco diva! She was possibly one of the most consistent live performers who had the knack of looking like she wasn't even trying!
DONNA IS 1 OF MY TOP 3 SINGERS EVER!!!! I LOVE her!!!! She had the most powerful, clearest voice of all!!! I love this song. 1 of her top 3 best songs. Her voice was always like an angel to me.GREAT PERFORMANCE TOO!!! She sounded the same live as on records.That's REAL talent!!!
The reason this didn't do well as a follow-up to the top 10 "This Time I Know It's For Real" is because Donna had prevented "I Don't Wanna Get Hurt" from being the follow-up single in the US. It'd made the UK Top 10, but Donna didn't like it. Therefore "Love's About To Change My Heart" had to wait in line behind "I Don't Wanna Get Hurt", so it could simultaneously be released in the UK and US. By then "This Time" had long faded on US radio preventing LATCMH from riding its coattails.
Hated I Don't Wanna Get Hurt. Love's About To Change was a better song showcasing Donna's AMAZING voice. Should've been a hit, indeed. There were other songs on that album that were hit worthy as well. Sentimental, Whatever Your Heart Desires come to mind. Record label dropped the ball as often happened with Donna's follow up releases post-Casablanca.

Actually Donna is one of the very few Singers who sounds Better live( WHICH IS AMAZING COS ON WAX SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS IN HISTORY) I saw her as a kid back in 11978 and was taken to another realm.. Technology can't capture her sonic melodic instrument like her LIVE PERFORMANCES..I feel sorry for anyone who never saw her live

Its' a great song from a great album "Another Time Another Place", though there was still anger at her, for her infamous AIDS REMARK (one she denies making) she did apologize for not clearing it up sooner and made a contribution to ACT UP , an AIDS protest org. I just think her time at the top of the charts had ended- as it does eventually for all.
I totally resent arsenio's line of questioning.. here you have the great Donna Summer on your little show and all you can talk about is how she wants to be white because her album cover how she used to be called a man at the very beginning (those of you that don't know the story a drag queen use her name back in 75 76).. my personal belief is that arsenio is a closet case of course Donna was falsely accused of cutting down gay people which is your home base by the way so I think our senior came from that angle.. Donna Summer is a class act and handled it with Grace
