DONNA SUMMER IS missing in my life I love her so much
This is only half the song because it's from Paul Jabara's greatest hits, and it was edited to have Paul sing the first half. But there is a version with Donna singing the entire song solo. Hopefully that version will finally be released posthumously. It would easily be one of my favorite of her recordings if it was her singing the entire song.

I remember hearing about how Donna was convinced to record Last Dance when the last Paul Jabara locked Donna in the ladies bathroom and told her he would let her out of the bathroom if she said yes and the rest in history.

One small correction to Stampyourfeets review, this was recorded by Karen Carpenter for her solo album produced by Phil Ramone, and not with her brother Richard as the Carpenters. The song did not make the album but is on youtube as are most of Karen's unreleased solo material.
