In the 70s they did not care about extending a song ,because most of the songs like this one were for disco clubs and skating rings and coke heads.

Luckily for me I already taped the 17 minute club erotic version in 1975 on Casette tape. RUclips strike policies are in effect so I know why you collaged 17 minutes of cleaning the song up and removed what even Donna Summer thought was an unauthorized "negative meaning she didn't sign off for" in light of her future many other songs and albums more clean (including Bad Girls)!

I am 61 years old, and I can honestly say that this is the greatest disco song ever made, and there is not a single foul word in it. There is no other song that comes close. It was a great time for all of us disco freaks. Nothing will ever compare.

17 minute version, As strange as it may seem. I never took this as a perversely song, growing up in the 70s, I don't know, maybe I'm from another planet. But I took this as an incredible piece of work. Nothing, I mean nothing like I've ever heard before. I was a instant fan of Donna. Just an absolute MASTERPIECE. The collaboration of human voice and music are just magical. I can't say enough. I know she stop singing this at her concerts. But when I seen her, they sampled this and the audience just absolutely went wild. I always come back to this. How this was not on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack is beyond me. Height of the disco movement.......R.I.P. Donna.

I had heard the "single" version of this song when I was 10 or 11, then much later found out that this version existed. Needless to say I sought it out, found it in a used record store and promptly bought it one of the best purchases I have made!!!

Most people don't know that Donna was originally a gospel singer! If you a true Donna fan you would have heard some of her first songs and she had an amazingly Powerful voice!!!

The first time I listened to this, it felt like plunging into an alien sound world. It was the early Seventies and the sound was unprecedented. Props to Giorgio Moroder. Paired with Donna's ethereal voice, the experience was life - changing.

4 minutes in... the bassist has played his last line, and the drummer starts back up. Bassist hesitates for only a split second before continuing, and history is made.
