I saw Danny Howells at The End before it shut down, he played all night until well past closing time and the lights were on for like 3 hours. He played a tune that had so much bass it was the most I had ever heard and I have seen LFO live. This blew my bollocks right off....like just blew them to pieces. He is a true Tech-tribal-house-funk Master.

This has to be the definitive remix of a gorgeous classic. Whereas the original mix floats seductively into the ether, this version's deep, aggressive thumping drumline anchors the whole piece to the dance floor where its thumping heart lives. Then, a playful percussion switch (5:40) jacks you back from your hypnotic trance.
Finally, a reply of substance. Most people just write, ‘oh! This tunes is top’. Such music deserves something that fires your imagination, something that reflects the funcky ass shit that this baseline delivers….and then some. The swirling percussion and bass is more than a trip down memory lane, it’s a reminder that good music is the foundation of all that is good and must be preserved, and evolve with the same level of quality.

@@ljames1957 I love the fact that this remix, looks really like a remix. It doesn't pretend to be its own track but rather a layer on top of an existing classic. It respects it, and adds to it.
Back in the day I bought the 12" and recorded it back to back and on repeat on a 90 minute red TDK tape. I used to fix cars to it. Entertaining AND a useful timer.

2022 almost over....this song makes up for an horrible year. Losing my best friend and after that my father. Both to cancer. This song keeps me together and the two of them close to me. I feel love.
Anyway, this song is great in its studio form but is so hypnotic it practically demands lengthy mixes/remixes to keep that amazing trance going. This is a really good take on the song I must say, stays faithful to the original while having its own light, modern "fresh" touches and most importantly extends the length without a hiccup.

I bought the original on 12" import in HMV in the 90's, it cost £12 and made me skint, but I'm so glad I did. I play it on the turntable regularly. You can never tire of this classic surely.

As far as reworks go, this is the muttz nutz.
I saw Howells live about a month or two after I bought this. Dude rips out a flawless 4 hour set, then legged it straight to the afterparty, kicked the DJ off the Dex, and as you do, played another 5 hours. The promoters had to beg him to get off the Dex so they could take him to the airport in time for his flight to where his next gig was that night.
They don't make em like that anymore.
Yeah at that point he was a machine. Flawless marathon sets that could spam from downtempo to techno...., such talented, versatile and charismatic DJ, one of the best for sure.
One of my favorites from back in the day!! Classic Studio 54 jam!!! I still love her music!! I danced to her Bad Girls in HS; 1984😳😝 My age is showing a bit; but I dont care. I grew up with some of the best music!! Great memories!!!

Danny has done a beautiful job on this.He has respected the original but made it dance floor worthy for more modern times.
I dropped this in a set a while ago,the original 7 inch that is,and it went down a treat.I have to admit though that i tried to eq to get more out of it.

This was a realy pivotal song when it came out and I bought the 12" for $1.29 at Feb-Mart when I was 13 because I wanted it played at our last school dance. I mean, you can climb into the beats. It's timeless!

Adding the bongos at the very beginning and making it a little WILD is my favorite addition!! This refresh is to die for all around!! love the mindless interludes of repetetive trance, good beat and the moog/lazer eerieness, ALWAYS did love this song and this is my new favorite version. The sound effects, it's a Fully Loaded trac and not over-done. I'm in Love. Is that a jet plane landing? lol, it works so well, even some of the background sounds like IBM selectric typewriters the "Press") turning into gunshots.... epic! lol! Will go so well with Pontiac Firebird Trans AM.
