Beautiful sequence. Wish I could have been there !!😅
Wow this is so beautiful. Makes me proud to know my little a6300 can produce such lovely pictures :)
Wow! Amazing quality for a camera under a thousand dollars. I own the A6400, I can't wait to
start practicing and shooting in Slog2-3
Simple, but beautiful footage! Good stuff, friend!
Thanks Chris :)
PERFECT COLOUR
Freaking beautiful.
Man I shot any logs on the 6300. i did many on the DJi Phantom and Osmo. Good video bro.. Subbed your channel.
I'm giving slog 3 with Rec 709 colour space a go. Boost s gamut often gave purple artifacts. I enjoy the high dynamic range of slog but not the colour process. Good results so far 😝
Man this is really nice, making me consider switching from my GH4
do it.
Cyclone.J I did it :) checkout my last 3 vids 😎
you should go for GH5 dude, it's BADASS :D
this video is two years old but i have to comment it, wow such a good color grading,
did you use luts? looks sharp and "Crispy"
Sorry for my bad english
Awesome. Can u share ur lut?
Nice!! Was this 4k or 1080?
4k. It's all in the description :)
Thanks
Did you use an ND filter for any of these shots? I worry that the minimum 800 iso will overexpose outdoor shots with S-Log2 or S-log3.
Rhett Bushman Nope, didn't use an ND filter here. It is recommended by Sony to overexpose by 1 or 2 stops but you do have to be careful of blowing out the highlights too.
Beautiful video!
I have a question: what you may say about 18-105 lens? Good or bad?
Максим Драгунов It's a brilliant lens. it has good range, autofocus works brilliant. I'd definitely recommend it!
Thank you!
beautiful. is the m31 lut a final cut lut or can I download it and use it in premiere pro?
Wampa Bar Thanks! yeah I think you can use that M31 Lut in Premiere too.
Proinsias Carr hey I just got this camera and the video looks clean in camera but as soon as I export to my comp there's noise everywhere. Do you use the play memories home for importing videos or do you import right into Final Cut?
Wampa Bar It's probably best to import direct from the SD card.
Make sure that whenever you are shooting in log, expose +1.7 to +2. Also when you import you will see noise in the shadows and some areas in the mids which is quite common with sonylog. Just apply a suitable lut or adjust the curves and it will be gone
Supercuts cool thanks. I definitely see noise in the shadows. I assume that's because the iso is set to 800 for s log. Also I was wondering if i need to apply a lut or can I mess with the lemtri color to get it to look the way I want?
looks great! makes me want to switch over from Canon
DiscoverWithDima This video has already converted someone from a GH4 :)
I heard the a6300 doesn't come with Slog. did you have to install it using some kind of magic lantern? or was it as simple as installing cinestyle? i'm kinda new to this.
Jonathan Bird I'm not sure where you heard that. The a6300 DOES come with s-log.
I can confirm, mine did come with slog2, slog3 and other Picture profiles as well. Cine 4 is popular if you don't need the crazy DR of slog
You still using slog2 mate?
Hi Tony, I'm so sorry for not replying earlier. I just happen to be looking through the comments now. I haven't being doing much lately with the Sony since but I must head out again soon. I'm doing a lot of drone stuff recently. I see you've got a a6500 recently. How you finding that? You've got some nice vids :)
What lens?
