Like it mate. I just got this lens & the 16mm and your video has made me excited to use them. Question: would you film the entire thing in 120fps 1080 or film in 4K then slow down in post? (Sorry I’m a beginner with a real camera)
I loved the intro a lot, sound design, camera movement, speed ramp and transition, everything was perfect. I like the rest also but I just feel like this song has been overused for these kind of edits. So that's why I think the rest didn't really stand out. But overall it was really well made, just that I was expecting more with that intro :)
Hey, guys... I need a help here with the Sigma 30mm 1.4 DC DN on manual focus. When I move slowly the focus ring, the focus move very slowly. VERY SLOWLY!! I don’t like it... And when I move fast the ring focus, the focus move very fast. The problem is that when I move the ring focus fast, the video gets very shaky, and that make my video look like crap. Is there any way to adjust the speed of the manual focus? I want to change the focus fast in a slow move of the ring focus. Can I do that?
Damn this was nice! Got to say I'm digging that 120fps slow mo too...glad you're happy with your new camera! Looking forward to seeing what else you can do with it :) keep up the great work. Not sure why I wasn't subbed to you previously but I am now!
I am an amateur/consumer filmmaker and I was wondering what you recommend to avoid grain with the a6300? If you have ever had a problem with grain or getting a soft washed look, what did you do to fix it? I am using sony 18-105 f4 g lens This video is amazing and that is why I'm asking you out of a lot of other people who use this camera on youtube!
Hey Thomas! Which Picture Profile are you shooting in? Depending on this, you have to adjust your exposure accordingly. For Slog2, Slog3 and cine4 you have to overexpose your image (without clipping the highlights) in order to get the best footage out of it. Then, when you color correct it in your editing software, you should get grain free footage. This is technique is called "Expose to the right" or ETTR. There are plenty of videos here on youtube if you need a full tutorial of it. :)
hey this is a great video dude! I really like the slow motion in it and the song fits perfectly. I still dont know which one is better in quality, the sigma 18-35 or sigma 30 mm ..
thanks man! mhmmm i did not try the 18-35 yet.. but from what i've seen it looks awesome.. i also prefer the wide angle, which is why I now usually shoot with the 16mm 1.4 from sigma
Thanks! and no, the grading doesn't have a specific name to it. It was based off of a LUT called "the conjuring", which I then customized to my liking (made some major adjustments with split toning, selective color and so on..)
i used PP8 with the Gamma set to Cine4. With this PP (or Slog2,Slog3) you always have to slightly overexpose your shots. When you correct your footage later on in postproduction the noise should be gone :)
Thanks Daniel! I currently using the SanDisk Extreme PRO 64GB with 95MB/sec ( amzn.to/2izGMkZ ) which i am rather happy with. Although in hindsight, i probably should have bought the 128GB version, since i find myself running out of space at times.
When shooting in 120fps it's not as big of a problem. I did put the warp stabilizer on some of the clips, but all in all the footage was generally usable straight out of the camera. :) Shooting in 4k would probably require some sort of gimbal or steadycam.
Love your moody tone on the videos! The slow-mo is incredible aswell, well done mate! Just subscribed, stoked for your future projects! Just posted my first video, check it out if you want.. Lets support each other!
Hey man, just spent the last half hour watching your videos, and they're amazing! You do such an amazing job at capturing the raw human experience, something that many filmmakers are beginning to lose; subbed :) I actually just posted a video from my time on Salt Spring Island last week and it would be amazing if you could drop by and provide some feedback!
Just found your channel and it's awesome, keep up the good work! I subscribed, hop to see more videos from you soon! By the way, I just released a short film about the suburbs where I live, if you're interested stop by my channel. Cheers!

Your colour grading dope man. What's pp and stops you've used

ABfilms mate I have used this track in one if my video as well!! but rest of is unique ;)
Absolutely LOVE the sony a6300, and paired with the 30mm 1.4 it is incredible. Keep up the great work!
Lovely!! How's the autofocus of the Sigma with the a6300? cheers!
surprisingly good. when using the zone focus area a actually get rather decent results.
Ahhhh, man I with you made more videos. They're really so lovely.
Just bought a A6500 myself - I can't wait to start using it!
Hi, great video! Really loved the mood!
I'd like to know how you created the quick rotation movement at 00:05
Thanks Aaron! :)
The rotation actually came from the clip itself and i just sped it up.

Thanks a lot for these kind words Josh! :)
Love your video but i have a question did you record this at 1080 or 4k because it looks amazing and if you did 4k how did you do the slow motion
everything was shot in 1080p at 120fps! Just use a bit of sharpening in post production and you footage gets much more crisp :)
your camera work and editing are AMAZING! you deserve thousands more subscribers! 🙌🏼
that's too kind of you 😊

DAMN dat quality! did u add some sharpness?
no, i actually didn't^^
wow love this video, does the grading you've done has a name?
Thanks!

The vibe of this video was amazing! Love your grading tho
thanks man!
Colors are 🔥🔥🎥 great work
Where's the location bro. Loved your work ❤️
it's called "Dr.-Vogelgesang-Klamm"..somewhere in Austria.
Thanks!
Couple questions. What PP did you use. And also how are you recording the 120fps? Mine always has so much noise
i used PP8 with the Gamma set to Cine4.

Nice video,, do you use autofocus or manual focus to make this video?
thanks! mainly the continuous autofocus, but for certain shots i used the manual focus as well .
Hey man love ur work! Which SD card do u recommend to use on the A6300? thanks! greetings from Argentina
Thanks Daniel!

Wow, Amazing..🌲👏😍
great video !do more and upload in 4k waiting for next video!
Is the not having an image stabilized lens a big problem? Do u reduce the shakiness in editing or do you use any kind of gimbal? sick content btw:)
