You better do a CST form Slog2 to Davinci Widegamut in the first node and another CST from that to rec709 on the last node. Davinci widegamut is the best way to correct everything.
And saturation is a lot better done in HSV color space, just disable the 1st and 3rd channels.

I record morning to evening in a very dynamic environment, I vlog leaving the house, grabbbing the elevator, then metro, again outside in harsh light conditions, office, gym, etc. How can I have some sort of run and gun setup with my ZV-E10 as I clearly want to keep SLOG2? Or perhaps there is no way to do this and slog2 is for a more controlled environment or studio? And if so, what should I use for all the other multitude of scenes? Perhaps Picture profile off and something flat from settings. Thanks a lot in advance!

In terms of WB I usually set it to around 5000k-5500k if there's natural light. If theres tungston introduced I bring it down, but I usually try to keep my subjects face in the correct WB. I believe I was using either the Sigma 24-70mm or the 50mm 1.4!

Looks nice, but the blacks look crushed.
But basically, to summarize, you use 102+ Zebras to expose Slog2?
    What about the color mode?
And what if you are shooting in darker conditions? Im considering using Cine2 or HLG, but dont know which would be better.

After becoming lazy and turning to just run and gun on my A7iii with no picture profile, I'm coming back to the process of shooting flat profiles again for more creativity this was such a good refresher for me to remember on how to edit / set things up again. Great work Bryce!

Thank you!! I’m glad it was helpful. I still use my HLG profile when there isn’t enough light, because slog-2 can be messy in the shadows. But overall it’s been great!

You should try using the colour space transform plug-in built into DaVinci for moving slog2 into rec709.

I haven’t played around with it extensively. Just been using a conversion LUT to get use to log haha but maybe I’ll do that after I get the hang of it

This is very helpful. I have been following 'Timmy Lodhi's guide here on youtube for colour grading the footage. But my shadows were always sullied. Your final footage looks really good. I'm gonna try this. Did you use more nodes at 9:25 for the final look? The colours are really nice there.

Thank you! I may have used 1 or 2, but honestly I’ve mostly been doing my corrections in the 3 nodes that I first make. Anything else would be like skin tones, specific colours or masking.
