Long time looking for good seiko solar diver watch finally you post a good video thanks 🙏 I order one right now! You right they give me a good 👍 discount
I decided to keep only one automatic watch, I find it difficult to have more than one automatic watch, and the quartz movement (solar, eco drive, kinetic) is perfect for practicality and durability for everyday activities.
Come on in! The water is fine. Never again ask about power reserve or seeing your auto stopped and needing to be set. I say solar all the things. I have a Seiko mini solar tuna and love it.
It’s 1:22 in the morning, just came back from work and I’m really enjoying this Seiko! I’m actually Chillin wit watches right now 😎 The bezel sound reminded me a motorcycle 😁
Good video. I have had a Solar Tuna , sne498 for about almost 2yrs. It has been problem free. I would definitely choose a Seiko or Citizen Solar if i was stranded on a Island like Tom Hanks. They are ultra reliable.
I have that solar tuna too, got it soon after it came out. It gave me a ton of problems, and taught me the value of crown guards. The crown is just too exposed, though it didn't suffer any irreparable damage. I'd prefer this to the tuna.
I have to admit, I don't like this new Padi dial design. But there are other colourways which look awesome. It is a bit pricier than the comparable Seiko solars and Citizens, but the sapphire and ceramic bezel give it that advantage. Great watch and a great size choice, love it! 👏💪
You can tell this Seiko isn't authentic because the seconds hand actually lines up with the markers. Jokes aside, this is probably one of their best models.
It's a very easy on the eyes, prefer an automatic movement but solar is better than a regular battery, very practical. Some nice detailing on the case and bracelet, but I'd put it something else. I think a variety of straps, nato's even a decent bracelet would elevate it considerably. Great video, thanks
I'm falling more and more for quartz, still love an auto but appreciate the convenience. I actually really like the bracelet on this one, seems everyone bags on it tho!
Checked out some snaps of SNE573. The lugs look abnormally longish for a 38mm due to the small dial width of 27mm. For an Alpinist , 46mm lugs dont look odd. but here they do especially if combined with a rubber strap
@@ChillinwitWatches btw thanks a lot for the review Sir, if this is not the first, for sure this one of the earliest review about this particular model 👍🏻
just bought this and funny to see you declare it a "keeper" and we both know....it wasn't, LOL but i get it, you got a different color way, so it's only 50% untrue. i love that black and teal highlight. we'll see if it's a keeper for me,
Great watch but because of the original cheap bracelet with horrible clasp I’d put it on strapcode J to make it perfect I do like original bracelet how it looks thou. I’m also digging SNE 535 on silicone bracelet it has camo green awesome color I hope you’d review them.
Pretty certain it’s a plastic insert, NOT ceramic for the asking price. Seiko used similar molded plastic inserts on some of the “Save The Ocean” models a few years back. Looking forward to getting one of the solar divers, but I’ll wait for a good deal as they’re very pricey.
This or certina ds precidrive diver 300m? What do you think? Certina is bit bigger 41mm and has much better bracelet. Both have sapphire, advantage of seiko is solar power and has ceramic bezel...tough choice.
The Certina is certainly a nice watch. I've not handled one in person, but for me the design doesn't really speak to me. I would pick whichever one you like the looks of more, but that's always my no 1 criteria.
@@ChillinwitWatches - Yes, Seiko divers are usually nicer than swiss conservative rivals...I am actually waiting a call from AD to see this new solar boy in metal, I hope then I will be smarter. My only concern is bracelet on this seiko, it feels very cheap whereas certina has excellent bracelet with solid end links and milled clasp.
Should I get this or the SNE585... Both are nice n I saw both reviews... Help me bro hahaha! The full blue is like damn but this .... Damn unique!! Hahahaha
@@ChillinwitWatches I’ll see what I can do. Thanks for the quick response! Also, did you have trouble resizing the bracelet? It seems like my pins are too loose when sliding them back in. I did not see any collars popping out so I’m confused as to why it’s so loose
@@musetycablues that's not what she said? Lol. Well shoot you took out the easy way to choose! This is hard as theses are 2 of my favorite watches. IfI could only keep one, I'd keep the solar.
@@ChillinwitWatches yes.. i do think so . Coz this watch has 3 advantage from others..first it has sapphire glass ,second solar,n third word of "Padi' itself. But,,the looks...when u compared with turtle i am much prefer to turtle design .why the seiko makes this things. Perhaps i wont regret after i get this type

Good stuff! One of my favorite watches!

I couldn't agree more! I'd love to get to one auto!
I keep looking at solar watches and seriously considering buying one.

@@swright5690 definitely, I love auto's but there's something to be said about it constantly working no matter how long ago you put it on.
Yup, I agree. So easy to wear, so well made and gorgeous to look at. I love mine too.
Great review and thanks!
Love mine too 🙏
Well done on being the first to review this watch. This is possibly the most legible, comfortable, accurate dive watch on the market.
Thank you! I for sure love this watch!
Beautiful looking watch and very distinctive.

Yup… I like…gotta check it out in person. then? Of course, this kind of review makes me do that kind of stuff. Great coverage Pete. Ty.

I'd prefer this to the tuna.
I've been looking forward to this vid since I saw your images on Instagram. Doesn't disappoint. 👍
Like the drilled lugs, sometimes you just want a NATO or leather.
I have to admit, I don't like this new Padi dial design. But there are other colourways which look awesome.

Looks like the perfect watch. I want one. Wish it wasn't so expensive.
that looks great Pete....sick new release from Seiko. Love the finish and color combo.
Thanks Luc, good release for sure!

Thanks for the review, I got the black on rubber, love it
Looks like a great deal. Love that it has a smaller size. Might treat myself to it in the winter.
Thanks for the video! I just picked one up after watching this!!! Digging the vibe bro. Subbed.
Awesome, I love this one! Thanks for subbing! Much appreciated!!!

Pretty cool piece, I only have 1 solar watch in my collection it's a protrek , I find it's on my windowsill more than my wrist.
Pete with the heat!!!... keep 'em comin' bro
Loved this one, when I saw it at Mimos I loved it! I think they killed it! great video bro enjoy that beauty 😊🍻
Thanks for drawing our attention to this new release! Great review as always.
Perfekt summer vacation watch!
freakin awesome watch... I will probably go with the non-padi one.

Going to get one, loving my skx013 but another 38.5mm plus solar, it is an easy yes for another daily watch 🤩

It's aluminium.
Man, you are so cool, I suscribed!
Ha! I don't know about that, but I super appreciate the sub!!! Thanks!
Skx alternative. Just a bit expensive.
Is the bezel really ceramic ?some claims it is made of plastic . Can anyone confirm
If no one can tell the difference does it really matter? Lol, jk, kinda. I can't imagine they woukd put a plastic insert in there, but who knows.
dayum I want one
Do it! I wear it all the time!!!!
cool vid. You say ceramic bezel insert, where have you seen this? I can no seem to find the material for the bezel listed anywhere?
Haven't seen it printed anywhere, that's just what I think it is having it in hand.
@@ChillinwitWatchesahh ok thank you. I would just think if it was Ceramic they would state it. I can't seem to find an answer.
It's aluminum.

does the bezel not line up with the 12?
I wonder if strapcode or uncle Seiko will make a bracelet for this model .
It's the same bracelet that's on the sumo, so much better than strapcode or Uncle Seiko, I don't know why everybody hates this bracelet
@@ChillinwitWatches have you tried the razor wire uncle Seiko bracelet ? Honestly the most comfortable watch bracelet I've ever warn

I don't believe so

I guess not 100% but it doesn't look like steel and it's certainly not aluminum.
@@ChillinwitWatches coild be steel, but would be sick if its ceramic
@@Super3xtr4 I'd almost prefer it was steel, but I have the grooved steel insert on the King samurai, and it doesn't look like that.

Blue looks better. The green is a strong nr 2. But then it all depends on whether you are a water or nature person.
Are you sure that the bezel insert is ceramic?
Haven't seen it documented anywhere but I'm reasonably certain, it's definitely not aluminum or steel
How's the weight compared to SKX?
how long does the lume lasts?
you try to justify the smaller size but i think its actually the selling point of the watch
aluminium or ceramic bezel insert ??
Dang it! I knew I forgot something, it's ceramic!!
Nice watch.
How does the divers extension work? Mine just came in and the instruction manual is not clear enough IMO
You just flip that little tab down on the underside of the clasp. Then it can unhook. That's a terrible description, lol, I hope it helps tho!
