All things aside this was a great Blue Devils show and watching the battle between Bluecoats and Blue Devils was very exciting. Plus it being Brandon Olanders last season it was awesome to see him win one last time.
It is also everet Kim and Michael tran’s last season too

If you first watch the Blue Devils 2009 show, then watch this one, you will be stunned to see and hear how much the activity is changing.
I miss old drum corps. I got to go to Drums Along the Rockies in Denver in 2009 and it was hands down, the best dci show I’ve ever been to. Such a good lineup and great shows! SCV was there and they were definitely the crowd favorite of the night. When they played Simple Gifts at the end, everyone was on their feet 😍
@@rugbyplayer9100 I aged out in 2009. That felt way more old school back then, but in 10 years this will be considered old school, haha....
All "Bloo should have won" jokes aside, this show was killer. Good stuff!

The brass tearing through the runs is unbelievable
Now you see how they were able to move those props around which enabled them to open up the field and drill. That’s why they won the visual caption and the world championship.

where's the problem
Despite all the mere running around that the video hides but the stadium cannot, I do love this show routine. It was the best use of props that year.
Personally, i would've done the ballad and end it where this one started. A very short part was picked(Especially compared to the other shows also featured on this channel) But regardless it was a great video!

This drum corps is the reason we have averaging. Yes they won percussion on this Saturday again!
So I was convinced Bluecoats should’ve won 2019, they lost by a tenth of a point and in my opinion had a better show. I thought Blue Devils had some random Blue Devils show that won because it appealed to the judges, but was boring overall. I see this short clip and my mind is blown. I can totally understand how they beat the Bluecoats. Great show!

While yes they marched with Bluecoats prior to BD, their dreams were to march with BD, so understandably they switched corps. But they’re super nice people and maintained lots of friendships

Ghostlight was cleaner, executed better, and deserved 1st place over the Bluecoats. Change my mind.
Definitely cleaner than Bluecoats. I knew BD would win this season but I always favored Bluecoats show the most. I live the concept they used and it was executed pretty decently.
It’s impossible, I love bloo but bd will always be my fav. However that’s not my reason at all. Bloo had many noticeably ppl off step, rushed closer, and I’m not feeling the beginning of the jazzy trumpet screamer soloist towards the end.
They got a perfect 20 in percussion, great stuff

You know everyone is talking about the bluecoats and how they were “robbed” I used to think that too. I was at 2019 finals and i was upset that the bluecoats didn’t win. I was thinking about the underdogs winning against the blue devils but honestly the blue devils were the underdogs this season. They grew so much in one season. The bluecoats and blue devils had an amazing show this year and the blue devils earned this win and I couldn’t be any happier. This season has made me want to audition for the blue devils because they have an energy that no one else can match.
I wish I could hear the judge tape during the tap-shoe feature!
The percussion judges tape is out there on RUclips, but I'll go ahead and tell you now he doesn't really say anything about the shoes and focuses on the front ensemble

Bluecoats had it at the beginning, but late season ghostlight is what lead them on home with another founders trophy. If I were a bloo fan I’d be happy. This year they got the highest score they’ve ever had! 2019 was an amazing year for drum corp and especially both the top 2 blue corps.

In san antonio the bluecoats won and my reaction was "wow the scores were close. This is gonna be an interesting year." Tbh i didnt think Ghostlight was a great show at first because for some reason i thought it was like 2018. Something just out there and BD reached too far. When I heard the scores on Finals night I was honestly surprised. The blue devils won. I also saw people in chat on youtube saying the Bluecoats were robbed another win. The patriots of DCI win again. Tbh, i could sum up this season as Falcons vs the Patriots. Falcons were ahead and it seemed like they had it, but the underdogs that game came out on top. Aka the patriots. So the bluecoats had it most of the season, but BD came out on top as the true underdogs. Now looking at this show over again, its incredible. I love it. Metamorph is still better, but this comes very close. Lets see what BD has for us in 2021 tho 👀👀👀
