    Wooooahhh.
    Seriously the most inventive use of this space yet. Nice job, Christopher Richards.
    I can see a mini winter greenhouse space off the kitchen that moves onto the patio in summer - and a good space for a little cylinder stove or something. Deserts get cold too.

      Thank you so much! I'm having a blast with this project :) love your ideas; it has been fun trying to create a space that's suitable to cold winters and hot summers. I've winterized my swing wall for the season which has helped a lot with thermal value :)

    I feel ya on the storage. I’ve been in my SUV for two years so a tiny house would be upsizing. I don’t have enough stuff to fill one.
    I like seeing videos featuring people with little to no construction experience. Gives hope to all of us average enthusiasts without a “handy” relative. The only power tool I’ve used is a drill. My tiny building projects experience has involved letting Home Depot cut all the wood for me at no charge. I wonder if I could get away with that building a tiny house? 🤔
    BTW, I have all your books Deek. Keep ‘em coming, they’re all great.

    • @priestesslucy
      @priestesslucy 3 года назад

      I mean the only other power tool I would even feel was a big asset for these is a skill saw lol, and there are so few cuts you could get by with a handsaw made for wood

    This is a great idea to do half and half of the transforming part and of the permanent bump out. Also, I like the idea of adding on the sides. If you could put a gable on the backside for a door way, you wouldn't need a door on the bedroom end. You could make a very small bathroom and bedroom. Another thing, if you had a ladder to the loft, you could have a transforming bump out above the permanent one and use it as the roof of the permanent structure as a porch. Hmm. I think that I am going to have to build it and show it to you.

      I love the idea :) I'm thinking to try and keep the desert out of the cabin, I'm going to make a little "mudroom" build-off where the door is currently located. I put the door on the bedroom side for security and better access to other structures on the property :)
