    One Length rule. Why would any amateur believe they would be more consistent with 8 different lengths and body positions, than one!!!?

      Exactly! Soon as I switched I’ve dropped 6-8 strokes as a weekend golfer

      So true. I was lucky to have only a few months of incremental length irons where after I switched to single length. I will never look back. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

    I play one length. Cobra ltdx irons . I have only been playing 1.5 years.
    Learning to swing was pretty quick for me. Once you get your P wedge down you also have your 9,8,7,6,5,4.
    My first rounds were 120-130 when I first learned to golf.
    Within one year I was shooting 90s and even broke 90 4 times with my best score being 86.
    These irons accelerated my learning curve and got me to more consistent faster.
    As a weekend warrior player I’m super happy with shooting low 90s and love the ease of one length irons

    I took golf back up 4 years ago after a long hiatus from the sport. Watching Bryson piqued my interest in one length clubs and I got fit for a set of Pinhawks. After 2 rounds I was convinced. Fast forward I upgraded to Cobra LTDX one length and this season I'm playing custom fit Cobra Dark Speed one length irons and hybrid with graphite shafts. I have no issues with distance, gaps in distance or wedges. My dispersion is very tight (generally +/- 7 yards from centre).
    I'm always amazed when my playing partners try my clubs and hit them flush and comment how easy they are to swing but can't imagine switching to one length because it seems weird.
    Once you get your head around the length, especially for the wedges and just learn and accept to trust your swing, one length clubs are the easiest clubs you'll ever play.

    Thank you for this. I’m coming in later this year to get fit into new one length irons. I’ve always played them and it’s hard to find a good fitter that knows how to fit them. See you later this year!

    Maybe someone can explain why irons are usually all different lengths...other than that's how they've always been.

    • @windmillgolfcenter
      @windmillgolfcenter  2 месяца назад

      Center of gravity and length of clubs are all engineered to help golfers achieve proper launch and height. The different lengths of the clubs help the golfer hit the proper yardages in healthy launch conditions.

    I love the one length irons. Make sure you find the over all weight that works for you if you want to try them! Good video but kind of hard to relate to 100mph club speed lol

    Lol capt ballspeed was opposed from the beginning 😂 I highly doubt he was playing a proper X-flex iron shaft. Dude just needs a proper fitting to get his peak height’s correct and then one-length irons would be totally fine for him

      Played variable length for 10 years.
      Took time off golf when my kids were born. When I started playing again I went to one length. I can play variable length long irons but can’t play standard length short irons and wedges.

    Need to find someone that swings closer to senior speeds. Someone with a 101 club speed is going to hit anything crazy far.

    I like what Bryson is playing this weekend, where they are traditional out to 7i and then retain 7i length in the longer irons. Seems to be a “best of both” situation

      Yeah this is the optimal setup for me, one length from 7-3iron, standard 8-wedge.

    I watched a number of these 1L iron test videos. I may be wrong, but it seems that with the long irons, the swing seems faster than the short/wedge. Perhaps it is psychological. One would tend to feel distance of a shorter shaft length 5 iron would be shorter than a normal one. Thus, consciously or unconsciously swinging with more speed. The opposite for the 9 and PW.

  • @ThD040
    @ThD040 4 месяца назад +2

    I was thinking about a two length set. Lob wedge to 8 iron at the length of a PW. The 7 iron to 4 iron to the length of a 7 iron.
    Reasoning would be to bring the spin in the wedges down a bit.

      I keep one traditonally short 56* wedge in my bag but I hit the King F7 One lengths to try the concept for myself and love them. Shaved 13 strokes off my handicap and now shooting 86-92 regularly. Feels weird at first with the 9, PW, and Gap wedges but trust the club and it simply works great. I just ordered the Forged Tec One lengths to continue down this road.

    If I’m 6’4” and my current set is 1” longer. Would a one length set be standard 7 iron length? I’m struggling to work out if and why I’d need an extra inch - the Cobra standard 7 iron is about the same length as my 8 iron which is very appealing.
