    I got the One Length FMAX irons about 6 months ago, love them, if you have back troubles, you want the One Length irons.

      I have lower back issues with stiffness. I was wondering how one length would help me out? I’ve been interested in trying it out.

      I HAVE HAD THE COBRAS $1,200 BUT DIDN´T LIKE THEM AT ALL SO I PASSED THEM TO MY SON AND BOUGHT ONE LENGTHS FROM A COMPANY CALLED MAZEL FOR $260 AND ABSOLUTLY LOVE THEM! I WILL KEEP MY COBRA ONE LENGTH 3 WOOD UTILITY BECAUSE IT IS MY TEE SHOT AND MY 2ND SHOT ON PAR FIVES, NO DRIVER SO IM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FAIRWAY WHILE MY PLAYING PARTNERS ARE EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT AND VERY FRUSTRATED!

      @@INNERCONNECTEDUNIVERSE the one length system was a total disaster. I purchased a set from One Iron Clubs. Things went well at first. By the middle of that golf season I regressed to the point of looking as if I had never played golf. Tried to stick with it fir the rest of the season. I went back to my Ping G10’s the following spring. Rather expensive experiment.

    Took a chance on one length and have really enjoyed them, 3h, 4-gw in the bag, hoping to get a proper fit for the forged tec at some point. Thanks for the vid.

    I had the 1length F7 last year and upgraded to the F8 this year and they are brilliant, my handicap has come down from 26 to 18.9. I couldn’t get on with the 4h 1length though for some reason 😒

    • @biggesttboss
      @biggesttboss 6 лет назад

      Hey Jeff I have been thinking over getting the one length irons for like the last couple of weeks and I was wondering what you thought the difference was going from the F7 to the F8 and also if you felt like it had a slappy or sound only F7 and the FA just sounded a lot more normal and responsive sounding or if there's anything else you can think of that you could tell me about the F8 vs the previous F7. The reason I'm asking is because I'm currently using a demo set of Callaway rogue and they are very forgiving but I feel like if I got into the one length it would be much more worth my while and I just don't know if the F8 is a forgiving iron like the rogue.

    • @jeffg4814
      @jeffg4814 6 лет назад

      Hi mate.
      Tbh I think the F8 is definitely the better iron compared to the F7. It launches higher, in my opinion, and is very forgiving.
      The sound is great, it looks great and the distance is wow.
      Juat put in 3 cards to get my first official handicap and I'm now off 15!
      Can't comment on your current clubs as I've never tried them.
      Hope this helps.
      Cheers.

    Can modify standard length Tempered Gold s300 irons measured to one length, Thinking just the 3,4,5 irons.Keep 6,7,8,9,W standard length. Looking at experimenting with an older set of Cobra Tour model II , I have a set of F6 Cobra graphite's i'm not enily convinced on.
    Your Thoughts

    Got 4h 5-LW. As a taller player I prefer the longer short irons and the 1 inch shorter 5i doesn’t bother me

    • @tallcip65
      @tallcip65 5 лет назад

      Jacob Streiff same here. I’m 6’6”. I got the F7s, half inch longer than stock. The first 3-4 rounds/range sessions with them I found the 9,pw,GW felt a bit strange but after getting used to it they are now my favorite clubs. I’m not as bent over and can make more consistent full swings with them. Which is the point of one length I guess. The 7,8 were spot on out of the gate. I lost 5-7 yards on the 5,6 at first but have reworked my swing a bit and am now hitting a longer draw shot with them that I could never seem to manage with my old standard set. After 2 months and roughly 20 rounds my handicap dropped from 17 to 13. Hoping to get to single digits next year.

      Same as your normal 7 iron position.

  • @petermartinaitis8166

    So spin with 7 iron was 7300 spin with 9 iron was less at 6700 , spin with 9 iron should have been nearer 9000 more loft same club head speed .

    I enjoyed your video and highly interested in a set of one-length. What do ya do about wedges?? Normal wedge lengths or 1-length or what?

    • @tallcip65
      @tallcip65 5 лет назад

      Nathan Riggle the set comes with a PW and GW. They took me a few range sessions to get used to but after about 6 rounds they I’m completely adjusted to the extra length. You can order one length wedges in and loft from cobra as well. I’m probably going to add a 56 and 60 next season and possibly a 3/4 utility iron.

    Curious why the graphite was dismissed so quickly even though you liked it and the spin numbers were way better than the AMT steel shaft.

    • @CraigSalter
      @CraigSalter  6 лет назад +1

      The black AMT shaft is the same as the steel just a black finish, that is the shaft we went with. Isn't graphite just a black finish. We didn't have the black finish in 9/5iron shaft only 7 iron.

    • @Belmont148
      @Belmont148 6 лет назад

      No, you hit the Recoil SmacWrap graphite shaft when he was going on about handing you the plague. He said you hit it well, and you liked it, and it had like 7300 spin on the 7i. But then proceeded to only hit the steel shafts for the rest of the fitting and 5i/9i. The steel shaft you went with spun at 6300, but obviously carried about 8 yards further due to lower spin. Just was interesting how the fitter didn't scratch that itch any further even though it looked like you quite liked the graphite setup.

    • @CraigSalter
      @CraigSalter  6 лет назад +1

      Ok get you now, launch was too high and spin was too high. Much prefer to be around 6000/6500 with my 7i. So even though it felt nice definitely couldn't play with it.

    • @jergernice1
      @jergernice1 5 лет назад

      @@CraigSalter yes lower spin with high launch can be better especially when not playing augusta greens....i hit the ball high and my current 9 irons spinning at 8500. yesterday my 160 8 iron went 130 against a slight cold wind. id much rather game 7500-8000 tops....
