years later and its still really funny to watch a 6'6 300 pound man stick to a dragon like a tick and just stab it 764 times. dragons dogma truly is one of a kind.
Dragon's Dogma is just Shadow of the Colossus but with human sized enemies, allies and an RPG system. And this is not a bad thing.

With a sword and bow, the assassin is perfect for playing Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings.

The realization that you have played through this game countless times just to make these videos is what makes you the true arisen
It's too bad that dire gouge isn't like thousand kisses where it does something both on the ground and while mounted. The skill is super cool, but I always struggle justifying it when I know I'll be up against stuff I can't climb. In fact assassin in general has so many cool sword skills that it gives me choice paralysis in general lol.
Anytime I pick assassin, I *must* go with powder charge. Skills like these just aren't something I've seen in other games I've played and there's something so satisfying about using the blade to strike a fuse to detonate a small, yet very potent explosive.
my biggest wish is for the Source code to get "leaked" and then someone modding an Online Co-Op version for us to play in. That's more likely than a sequel to this Gem, and eve if they made a Sequel it wouldn't meet any expectations other than maybe a solid combat system
You do know Dragon's Dogma Online was a thing, right?
Weren't there leaks about the making of DD2? Something like announcement early 2023, hopefully it will have some co-op elements
But I agree, the sequel would have to meet a lot of expectations.

That being said, despite there having been a screenshot running around, we haven't heard anything from Capcom yet.
If it *is* in development, and it's been on track since the end (or before the end) of DMCV, then we *might* be able to expect it mid/end of this year, based on the COVID delays around the time it was initially supposed to be "announced." The supposed original release time frame was April of this year, so we'll see!

Great windmill is such an under-appreciated skill for assassins. Its the better 1000 kisses. Super high focused FPS with the added ability to slowly move around to dodge attacks and go back in.
If clairvoyance worked anywhere as good as masterful kill, I would be a pure sword and bow assassin instead of switching between sword and dagger.

How did I not think of using dire gouge with Force hatchet? That's awesome!
Force Hatchet is basically made for Dire Gouge, honestly. Just have to be really careful to not get hit at all so your Stamina doesn't get zeroed and you instantly die, lol.
It also boosts bow damage so its super OP on an assassin.

I'm a bit late but I remember "magic archer it's op" another video about that vocation would be cool
I found a way to easily cheese first daimon with any vocation if anyone would like to know
1. Get about 60 throwblasts
2. The throne where daimon sits on before you enter is the cheese spot, make your way to it
3. Get daimon behind the throne and you in front
4. When he charges anything he leave his head exposed for a throwblast, hit him with it
5. Hit him with the throwblast again
6. Do it again
7. Repeat that until he dies
If he every becomes unstuck he's easily stuck again
Once you do this you can do the door glitch and get infinite level 3 stuff and the currency to purify it
I did this with a level 30 fighter trying to look for level 3 gears because I wanted to do a fist only run
What is the door glitch?
@@unclesasuke6858 it's a glitch using 2 barrels and jumping up and down to get through the gate or almost any door
@@fanaticalgoose5130 gotcha! Is there a way in particular to get lvl 3 stuff that way? Or did you mean you could get infinite by farming Daimon?
@@unclesasuke6858 if you enter daimons room his reward gate will respawn even if it's the first time you entered it, kill daimon, leave the fight, enter it and then do the door glitch on the reward gate, DO NOT SAVE BEHIND IT You will be soft locked permanently, then collect the rewards and do the door glitch again to go back into the arena then leave and repeat
It will drop level 3's mainly and mainly weapons and armor
My perfered vocation. Might not have the damage out put like strider,magic archer an ranger but it still blows em away

Sword(and shield for swift castle/showdown) Assassin was how I first beat awakened Daimon. The power of Vehemence/Clout/Opportunism/Adhesion is unmatched.

Assassin is the best, most satisfying thing I ever did in this game was climb up a chained gorecyclops and gouge it to death before it could shake me off. I think the only consumable I used was a staminal drench or two. And masterfull kill makes living armors not even a threat anymore.
