man i dont wanna get my hopes up, but imagine if DD2 has a martial artist vocation. clearly they wanted people to be able to fight with their fists cuz of the rings, but imagine they take it a step further with a full vocation with different abilities. maybe some self healing abilities or something like that, kinda like a meditation heal.
I recall hearing they were apparently going to add in a monk class to DD1, but they ran out of time. So there's room for hope, I think.

I read somewhere they were in fact going to add a monk vocation. But the problem was this vocation could get rich too easily by selling all the weapons they found, since you weren't going to use them anyway.
@@MrJay1El I have to question the validity of that though, given how easy money is to make otherwise, hell you even have Hard Mode which makes you rich really fast.
@@MrJay1El definitely they should add a gauntlet weapon style then. I'm sure some people would be bummed at not seeing just their fists or the armor they're wearing, but this could help to balance the money making issue. Also, maybe with more time and a bigger budget they might put in a transmog system for full cosmetic control.

I did a bare fist run with the fighter class. I unequipped the sword but kept the shield so I can still do sheltered assault. I was able to rapid punch while blocking, it was a good time.
try mystic knight and enchant your bare fist with holy power. you have literally life stealing fist.

dragon's dogma online had a spear/lance class that was support based, which fought in similar 'insect glaive' style from the monster hunter series (and also possibly the dragoons in upcoming ffxvi), but it was pretty badass in its own way, can just look up 'dragon's dogma spirit lancer' to catch some videos of them
dragon's dogma online had a bunch of more advanced classes and playstyles as well - Alchemist, High Scepter, Spirit Lancer were among those in the online version that wasn't in the single player version

I mean, they're all very good which is incredibly rare in RPGs.

@@heitorferreira5486 Warrior's only flaw was that they didn't let you take 6 abilities like the other classes, and yet it's still a very fun class to play.
Let's hope we have access to more abilities and Warriors get the treatment they deserved in the sequel.
Strider climbs faster and does 66% more damage while clinging an enemy.

Fun fact: The Fighter's "Sheltered Spike/Assault" skill works with fists.

I hope Dragons Dogma 2 has the alchemist vocation from the mmo. I had alot of fun with the punchy gameplay. Need more Tifa in games.

They should add different kinds of fighting styles to a Hand To Hand Class in DD2 Where you ultimately end up as the ultimate fighter having different moves that hit different weak points of enemies doing different kinds of damage. For instance a quick Heavy under hand jab to the spine of a monster will stagger it when large, and temporarily paralyze small foes. Or a simple 1-2-3 jab combo into a quick spear lunge where you can choose to slam, suplex, or hold for your allies. So say a boxer/wrestler build. Just an example of how versatile that such a class could be. Now yes I know I'm only using a couple ideas as an example. However as humans its a basic instinct fighting. So just go ahead and imagine all of what you can for this class. Have fun.
I did not play this game enough to realize you could strategically grab onto creatures. I was always just trying to scramble up a damn troll and getting beat on. I really want to go back and put some real time in now.
