    Actually, the safety on the Apollo is more traditional. The safety on the Helios is more recent. The first time a similar safety was applied was in the case of the 1911, where the button style is seen on older models of old .22lr rifles

    Anyone else feel the P.C. line is specifically designed to be better than the "standard" rival blasters?
    The Helios is an upgraded Apollo
    The Hera is kinda an upgraded Zeus(better reload ergonomics and can run on the rechargeable battery pack), and the upcoming Hades and Prometheus sound like they're going to be upgrades for the Artemis and the Nemesis respectively.

    • @mangothemike
      @mangothemike 4 года назад +4

      Helios isn’t that much better than the Apollo. (Almost a reskin)
      Hera is directly better than the Zeus (better ergonomics and range, can use rechargable battery pack, easier magazine usage)
      Hades isn’t a successor to the Artemis, rather an alternative. (Hades being a primary, Artemis being a secondary)
      Prometheus isn’t a successor to the Nemesis. (Nemesis being easier to use, more mobility, less bulk)

    I like the Helios the best. The Artemis is great, but the lack of a stock makes it hard to keep steady. The Apollo hits the hardest, but it's just painful to use without a pump kit, and if you need to pay $60 to make a $17 blaster usable, it's just not worth it. The Helios has a comfortable grip, a smooth priming mechanism, and an actual stock, so that's why i like it the best.

    What I'd like to see next is a hopper-fed springer with at least a 50 round capacity. If Dartzone can create a hopper-fed springer that works with Rival ammo, it shouldn't be beyond Nerf to come up with something better.
    Another possibility is a bigger magazine that still fits the Apollo, Hera and Helios. If Nerf can do a 35 round Drum magazine for darts, I'm sure they can manage more than 12 Rival rounds in a magazine. The Zeus is effectively dead, and the 12-round magazine that was designed to fit it should no longer be the limit.

    • @ziploc2000
      @ziploc2000 6 лет назад

      Just seen the news on the Hades, 60 rounds springer like a bigger Artemis, and the Prometheus, 200 round hopper-fed battery-powered, both Phantom Corps designs. Did they give up on red & blue teams? This dumps my theory that Phantom Corps were deliberately limited to smaller capacity blasters to keep them as a weaker third faction.

    Drac, I would choose the Helios, i have both of the phantom Corp ones and I think it’s so much easier for pulling the side mechanism instead of having to on the fop

    I found the stock on the Helios slips off my shoulder since its too smooth. Im gonna have to put something on the end to give it some grip. Also I found the mag release on the Helios digs into my palm during regular use. Im going to try and file it down a bit.

    Hey draconian, I’ve been wondering how can you become a member of the southeast nerf club? I’d love to become a member and I’d love to have some more experience in the nerf community

    There needs to be a Rival sniper. I would be decently practical, considering the range and accuracy of Rival blasters, plus the rival rails hold the nerf scopes in place, intead of them flopping around on normal nerf rails.

    Hey Drac, I recently found a custom painted, modified Maverick with a regrease, a spacer for full compression, and a removed air restrictor for $35, would you recommend buying it? (I have never hade a modified nerf gun.)

    As an owner of all 3 blasters the main disadvantage of the Artemis is the lower range, fps and accuracy. It is a dream to prime and operate no doubt. My personal favorite would be a pump grip Apollo. It has the best performance coupled with ease of use and ergonomics. Helios is great fun, there is just uniquely something satisfying about bolt action.

    The first Rival blaster I got, was the Artemis. Guess I made a good choice, not to mention I had watched reviews (including Drac's). My second rival blaster is currently on it's way, the Kronos :)

    Im going to brag slightly and say I got two Artemis for less than what you saw 1 listed for. There is a store in Newnan, GA called Bargain Hunt that sells damaged/open boxes and they had them for 17 each. And they actually had all the rounds still in the box. I also got my Apollo there for like $7...then I added the Worker pump kit and like it much more with the pump, even than the Artemis. But having to reload less often is pretty nice. The Helios looks good, but I think Ill pass for now. I am looking forward to finding the Khronos in stores though.

    Drac you should dip a stryfe in camo and then add the kriss vector kit

    Helios all the way, the priming is so much fun and that ergo though. honestly I dont like the Artemis I think the design is ugly because it is so small. Can't wait for the Hades ^^

    If I got one of these I would probably still get the Apollo because of the awesome pump kit that’s available for it

    I had an Artemis for about a day, got rid of it because it kept jamming and the priming bar felt like it was going to break every time I pulled it back. The new kronos I love as a side arm, need some kind of speedloader for it though to make it usable. I having got the chance to try the Helios yet, my target hasn't gotten them out on the sales floor yet. But hey, I finally upgraded from a Zeus to the nemesis. Going to pickup a Hera tomorrow after work with a few extra mags.
