Its a cool blaster but its super prone to shooting rounds at half or even a quarter of its full power due to its weird loading system. I have three and they all shoot inconsistent. The mag fed feature is awesome though, and it does feel nice in the hands.
I just wanna say I disagree with the Heracles and Prometheus being put so low, and completely agree with the Hades placement. I think you should bump up the Heracles because there are a bunch of pistol mains and the ammo storage and performance is perfect for them. With the Prometheus being a hip fire juggernaut you can control A LOT of space for your team to handle objectives and flanks, so I'd put it higher as well Thanks for the fun video!
I agree, we play “pro” tourneys and my prometheus set up lights up teams of perses players *with* increased ammo storage. Its all about arenas, gameplay modes, player skills, teamwork, etc.

From what I've seen of Drac's nerf war vids, it doesn't seem like "tank" is much of a thing in the games he plays. If you're not ducking in and out of cover, you're being taken out, and the prometheus isn't exactly friendly to that kind of play style.

That was an awesome presentation - great explanations too! More tier lists please (when you've got the time). Would be interesting to see the Rival list added to in the future with the rival Rival blasters (Adventure Force, Zuru etc.) to see how everything balances out.
The Artemis and Hera respect is real and I appreciate it fam. I was surprised the Hypnos ranked so low, I definitely think it's better than the Jupiter as a blaster but maybe you rank the target considerably higher than I do. Ditto for the Heracles, no one holsters blaster anymore man. Magnets are the future!
For me, and this is just my experience, the Hypnos is ridiculously inconsistent. Some times, the performance is standard, other times the round barely leaves the blaster.

I'm unsure if this warrants a tier up or not but, a pretty great thing about the Apollo is that they're actually super easy to effectively duel wield. Because of the priming handle shape, you can prime both by pushing two Apollos together by the inside curves of the priming handles and then pulling the Apollos outward by the outside curve of the priming handles. Preferably do this with the blasters at somewhat of a 90° angle to each other.

A 3s mosfet hera with a mag carrier chest rig seems like one of the best things you can do in rival until the Perses is available. It's definitely worked better then a nemesis for me they're so big
I'd bump both the Prometheus and the Hera up one level to A class. While I prefer using my Nemesis with the 3dps Muderhole hopper, having bought >8< prometheuses now averaging around $95 each, I find it a tremendous blaster. I've given two to school teachers who have started clubs with their students. It commands the battlefield in casual matches more than any other stock blaster. As for the Hera, I'd agree with your placement in general, but where the Hera really shines is in limited ammo engagements, and in highly restrictive LARPs. I'd also bump the Jupiter up for its cosplay/LARP potential.

Honestly, I agree with this list almost entirely. The only difference between our lists is that I’d put the Kronos higher. There are a great deal of recolors available, I’ve been seeing them all over the discount store I frequent, and they’re insane sidearms. 5 round capacity is standard for most sidearms, and it puts it dead even with the other best sidearm, the hammershot. Then, it pulls ahead by delivery major performance in a perfectly sized package, really good ergonomics, and insane mod potential. I think what makes it S tier for me is it’s availablity. I’ve seen them for about 10 USD at the discount store I mentioned, and I believe I’ve seen them on sale at other retailers like target and Walmart for 13-15.
The Hades is my absolute favorite nerf gun I own. I've got a nemesis too, but that always feels like playing with cheat codes. The Hades is powerful yet fair
This honestly really helped me coz I took a break from nerf and this helps me to see what’s good and what’s bad and that I don’t need to spend loads, thx drac, keep it up
The khaos magazines actually have been sold separately. They came out on Amazon, bough in fairness they came out for $25 a piece and several months after the khaos already came out, but also in fairness the magazines aren’t cheap to sow and so $25 was pricy by fair. They disappeared from amazon for awhile but came back at $15 each and are now back to original msrp.
Yep totally agree, toating a pair of A tier Deadpool Kronos pistols with speedhooks helped me win Stalking dead last year and on shoulder holsters makes great Rival blasters for an HvZ, especially a pair of em! Dude Drac nice list, I was pessimist at first because usually someone will make a list like this and be biased, but your judgement clearly comes from your experience as the Nerf God you are and playing with them on the field. Stock, I agree with most of your tier selection, but seem to have more accuracy with my Jupiter than my Hades (blame it on the Alpha Rogue added scope ;-) ) and honestly wish you would reconsider the Heracles as the best Pistol for primary with its great aim, easiest spring upgrade to 140 FPS, and who needs to really holster a pistol with a 47 MAXCAP after about 11 Etsy upgrades: 4 speed loaders from top rail holders, 4 more speed loaders from divet holders leaving two free divets - the other 5 first to plink. Unless you go with 6 rounders, but that is approaching foam madness. Feel free to do a vid on this Heracles as the highest pistol for primary loadout which should surpass your Kronos quad speed loader one easily and I will happily share how to MOD this beast for a large holster ;-) Also Dark Dragon enjoyed shooting you at JENB4.

When I clicked this I wasn’t sure how I was gonna react to the list but I have to say, I honestly agree with 98-99% of the list, my only difference is maybe a one tier move up with the Nemesis, and maybe a switch with the sniper one and Helios, or just move up the Helios one tier, and put the Heracles up to c.
@@Jerbt it’s less bulky on a sling, but to be honest what other secondaries could you have that would even be required besides like a pistol if you have a Nemesis? The reload time is like under 10 seconds.
@@ErrorNumber404 not actually practical even with the sling because you're gonna have to be the heavy for it, it would be much better if they created it with a traditional rifle grip.
I like the the shift and new content drac! Keep it up! One suggestion for these lists is show just a large pic of the blaster (plus all the funny little graphics you did) and not show the list until you place it. That way we aren't ahead of you while your still talking about it. It help streamline the vid I think. What you did was great though and I loved it!
I don't think I understood why the Nemesis wasn't in S tier 10:59 What better option? The only "better" option I can think of is the Perses, But why is it better? It has half the capacity and blows through it's ammo in 5 seconds
In a any non cqb environment with any prolonged battle, the Prometheus beats the Perses. The 4x ammo capacity matters a lot more than being able to ADS with foam balls that have a 5 meter dispersion at 20 meters
The Helios was my first rival primary, so it holds a special place in my nerf experience. Also if u get used to it, it's quite effective. Also my brother has an atlas and his works flawlessly and is pretty good. I think yours was a lemon.
So there is a guy in my nerf club that modded the atlas with a wye hopper. It hits around 170 to 180 fps. Range is around 100 ft. Super accurate and he wrecks with it! So I would move it up to B tier. Great little mod.
Drew Benson if modding is brought into the question then any blaster would be a s tier. If the modded has enough experience then they can mod anything to hit 100 plus fps
I think it was correct just the Prometheus should be at A tier because even thought you have to handle that bulky size, but you are eventually buying the Prometheus because you are confident to handle the size, and once you get used to the ergonomics you will always have a blast
I'm very much on board with more tier lists. Even though you're absolutely right that Elite would be a nightmare due to the shear volume of blasters, by the same token that also makes it the most relevant to most people as that is what most nerfers run with. Maybe save it for last? To be honest though I wouldn't mind a mega tier list, that way if someone wanted the big darts they could have an informed decision into something that might have relevance in certain game types (special type zombie killer, one mega hit counting as 2 elite hits, etc.).

The Prometheus isn't terrible but still who wants to spend 130 dollars on a minnigun that is hard to hold. I would also rather shoulder a gun it is much easier and you can aim. The only reason you would buy a Prometheus is for that rate of fire because it is hard to carry it around your house.
I agree with you everywhere except for the Hypnos. I think the Hypnos deserves at least C teir. While the ergonomics of the magazine loading is funky at first, one game with it gives you the familiarity you need to work quickly with the reload. The Mag ejects easily which allows for simple one-handed mag exchanges in a firefight and the ability to take both the short and long mags allows for extra versatility. The pump action priming of the blaster allows for accurate shoulder based fire and the folding stock allows for the blaster to be viable even in close quarters. It is at least as good as the Nemisis. I would say that the mag well is more accessible and therefore slightly better.
What makes me feel like “wth” is that he doesn’t like any of the places you insert the mag I feel like “ well where would you put Drac...” I like the nemesis and it has an amazing fire rate and capacity but it’s really heavy! Especially for younger people. The other thing that annoys me is that he says the rival Hera would be better as an automatic. Which confuses me because it’s max capacity is 12. The problem would be how fast you run out of ammo. I run out of ammo fast on the Zeus! Which holds the same amount and is semi auto.
But real talk, more vids like this. Elite would be a huge undertaking but I think you could break it up into a super series. Pistols, Spring Primaries, Flywheels, Shotguns, "Other," and then do a big list of the top blasters of each tier if it proves popular. Zombie Strike next though. Then the disc things? Jolt Tier List!
I'm a huge fan of the Hades. Only had a chance to use it twice, while I was helping staff a SciFi LARP in the SE. But it was an amazing foam thrower to have available for the tougher or higher-tier encounters. Reloading is pretty quick (I'd do handfuls from a bin of balls), and it had great power and range in the outdoor/pavilion spaces we were using. Very happy to see it land in Superior tier.
.... I love the Helios. Literally my endgame primary with a 12 round magazine with some extras in your back pocket kicks ass on a nerf battlefield. Compact, delivers the hits, GREAT for cqb when you remove the ratcheting mechanism in the internal priming rail. When that is gone, it's super smooth and quiet. It's accurate at a decent range, and you can RAIL it really hard and it'll hold up and take a beating. But everything else I agree on brother good list.
Honestly… it’s almost 2022, and I would put the Curve line in b or c tier, but the Saturn and Takedown would go into B and A respectively, and then the Roundhouse… about C tier. The curve line is gimmicky, the Roundhouse is amazing except for when it jams, the Takedown is almost perfect but lacks slam fire, and the Saturn is almost perfect except for its poor priming handle. I’m forced to put my favorite rival blaster into B tier, but modded it goes into S. There should be a lever action kit sometime in the near-ish future, and that’ll bump it to the top dog
Well done. My only gripe is that I’ve used both the Nemesis & Prometheus and definitely prefer the Prometheus. It shoots high, but with just a little practice it beats a Nemesis with capacity, distance, ROF, intimidation to new players, it’s better balanced... (The only asterisk that I would bring up with this is that I’ve also played in a couple wars with Mitch Essinger’s “Cardinal Sin” Nemesis. It just wrecks the world so this comment is in no way related to his Nemesis or its modifications.)
while you were talking about the blaster but didn't put it in its category yet, I was trying to guess where you would put it, and I got most of them correct. that is because every choice you made was correct and they were definitely the correct categories.
No word of a lie, I got my Prometheus here, used, in Canada for $25. It was next to new. One of if not the best deal I've got out of any of my blasters. Worst deal was my red Nemesis from Amazon I picked up this passed spring for $149.xx Canadian.
Nice review of the Rival line, I agree with your ranking. It would be nice for you to rank the blasters in each tier, ie 1,2,3,4 in each tier. Yes, please rank the other Nerf blasters by type.
My nemesis is a dud for some reason. It shoots 2 darts a second and only like 2 feet. I have replaced the batteries and it still shoots like that. The Hades is my current favorite blaster
I personally love the Artemis but all the ones I’ve used have a horrible accuracy and range issue. Nonetheless great blasters. Im surprised the Hypnos isn’t higher on our list, cause when you reviewed it back in December last year you liked it! I think the Hypnos is alright too. Definitely not great for the price but The magazine changes are really fast once you get the hang of it. Plus I’ve got 5 12 rounders so I’ve got more than enough primary ammo. Also who agrees that we need a Khaos 2.0 with slim profile like the perces, make the mags about 20rds so that they can be closer to a traditional magazine size? Then that’d make carrying multiples a helluva lot easier. I’d rock it.

The khaos magazines actually have been sold separately. They came out on Amazon, bough in fairness they came out for $25 a piece and several months after the khaos already came out, but also in fairness the magazines aren’t cheap to sow and so $25 was pricy by fair. They disappeared from amazon for awhile but came back at $15 each and are now back to original msrp.
Yep totally agree, toating a pair of A tier Deadpool Kronos pistols with speedhooks helped me win Stalking dead last year and on shoulder holsters makes great Rival blasters for an HvZ, especially a pair of em! Dude Drac nice list, I was pessimist at first because usually someone will make a list like this and be biased, but your judgement clearly comes from your experience as the Nerf God you are and playing with them on the field. Good work.

Stock, I agree with most of your tier selection, but seem to have more accuracy with my Jupiter than my Hades (blame it on the Alpha Rogue added scope ;-) ) and honestly wish you would reconsider the Heracles as the best Pistol for primary with its great aim, easiest spring upgrade to 140 FPS, and who needs to really holster a pistol with a 47 MAXCAP after about 11 Etsy upgrades: 4 speed loaders from top rail holders, 4 more speed loaders from divet holders leaving two free divets - the other 5 first to plink. Unless you go with 6 rounders, but that is approaching foam madness. Feel free to do a vid on this Heracles as the highest pistol for primary loadout which should surpass your Kronos quad speed loader one easily and I will happily share how to MOD this beast for a large holster ;-) Also Dark Dragon enjoyed shooting you at JENB4.

When I clicked this I wasn’t sure how I was gonna react to the list but I have to say, I honestly agree with 98-99% of the list, my only difference is maybe a one tier move up with the Nemesis, and maybe a switch with the sniper one and Helios, or just move up the Helios one tier, and put the Heracles up to c.

@@Jerbt it’s less bulky on a sling, but to be honest what other secondaries could you have that would even be required besides like a pistol if you have a Nemesis? The reload time is like under 10 seconds.
@@ErrorNumber404 not actually practical even with the sling because you're gonna have to be the heavy for it, it would be much better if they created it with a traditional rifle grip.

One suggestion for these lists is show just a large pic of the blaster (plus all the funny little graphics you did) and not show the list until you place it. That way we aren't ahead of you while your still talking about it. It help streamline the vid I think. What you did was great though and I loved it!

I don't think I understood why the Nemesis wasn't in S tier 10:59 What better option? The only "better" option I can think of is the Perses, But why is it better? It has half the capacity and blows through it's ammo in 5 seconds

In a any non cqb environment with any prolonged battle, the Prometheus beats the Perses. The 4x ammo capacity matters a lot more than being able to ADS with foam balls that have a 5 meter dispersion at 20 meters

2022 and 23 (so far) have been GREAT for Rival.
The Helios was my first rival primary, so it holds a special place in my nerf experience. Also if u get used to it, it's quite effective. Also my brother has an atlas and his works flawlessly and is pretty good. I think yours was a lemon.
It depends on what you use it for. I only play with nerfs in my room to shoot some targets. so for me the bolt action jupiter would be S-tier.
So there is a guy in my nerf club that modded the atlas with a wye hopper. It hits around 170 to 180 fps. Range is around 100 ft. Super accurate and he wrecks with it! So I would move it up to B tier. Great little mod.
Drew Benson if modding is brought into the question then any blaster would be a s tier. If the modded has enough experience then they can mod anything to hit 100 plus fps

I think it was correct just the Prometheus should be at A tier because even thought you have to handle that bulky size, but you are eventually buying the Prometheus because you are confident to handle the size, and once you get used to the ergonomics you will always have a blast

I mean the Prometheus is meant to be a Rival Minigun, so it's more of a support class weapon in a War instead of a Primary AR/SMG Rifle.
I'm very much on board with more tier lists. Even though you're absolutely right that Elite would be a nightmare due to the shear volume of blasters, by the same token that also makes it the most relevant to most people as that is what most nerfers run with. Maybe save it for last? To be honest though I wouldn't mind a mega tier list, that way if someone wanted the big darts they could have an informed decision into something that might have relevance in certain game types (special type zombie killer, one mega hit counting as 2 elite hits, etc.).

The Prometheus isn't terrible but still who wants to spend 130 dollars on a minnigun that is hard to hold. I would also rather shoulder a gun it is much easier and you can aim. The only reason you would buy a Prometheus is for that rate of fire because it is hard to carry it around your house.

I agree with you everywhere except for the Hypnos. I think the Hypnos deserves at least C teir. While the ergonomics of the magazine loading is funky at first, one game with it gives you the familiarity you need to work quickly with the reload. The Mag ejects easily which allows for simple one-handed mag exchanges in a firefight and the ability to take both the short and long mags allows for extra versatility. The pump action priming of the blaster allows for accurate shoulder based fire and the folding stock allows for the blaster to be viable even in close quarters. It is at least as good as the Nemisis. I would say that the mag well is more accessible and therefore slightly better.
What makes me feel like “wth” is that he doesn’t like any of the places you insert the mag I feel like “ well where would you put Drac...”
I like the nemesis and it has an amazing fire rate and capacity but it’s really heavy! Especially for younger people.
The other thing that annoys me is that he says the rival Hera would be better as an automatic. Which confuses me because it’s max capacity is 12. The problem would be how fast you run out of ammo. I run out of ammo fast on the Zeus! Which holds the same amount and is semi auto.

But real talk, more vids like this. Elite would be a huge undertaking but I think you could break it up into a super series. Pistols, Spring Primaries, Flywheels, Shotguns, "Other," and then do a big list of the top blasters of each tier if it proves popular.

I'm a huge fan of the Hades. Only had a chance to use it twice, while I was helping staff a SciFi LARP in the SE. But it was an amazing foam thrower to have available for the tougher or higher-tier encounters. Reloading is pretty quick (I'd do handfuls from a bin of balls), and it had great power and range in the outdoor/pavilion spaces we were using. Very happy to see it land in Superior tier.
Solid list, I might move Nemesis into S tier based on aftermarket options however. Agree on the rest!

The Hypnos has to be put above the Helios just for the fact that it’s pump action.
.... I love the Helios. Literally my endgame primary with a 12 round magazine with some extras in your back pocket kicks ass on a nerf battlefield. Compact, delivers the hits, GREAT for cqb when you remove the ratcheting mechanism in the internal priming rail. When that is gone, it's super smooth and quiet. It's accurate at a decent range, and you can RAIL it really hard and it'll hold up and take a beating. But everything else I agree on brother good list.
You can get a out of darts hopper extension to double your Percy ammunition.
Honestly… it’s almost 2022, and I would put the Curve line in b or c tier, but the Saturn and Takedown would go into B and A respectively, and then the Roundhouse… about C tier. The curve line is gimmicky, the Roundhouse is amazing except for when it jams, the Takedown is almost perfect but lacks slam fire, and the Saturn is almost perfect except for its poor priming handle.
I’m forced to put my favorite rival blaster into B tier, but modded it goes into S. There should be a lever action kit sometime in the near-ish future, and that’ll bump it to the top dog
if you want an Atlas, just pick up an Apollo or Helios, a 12 round mag, and shotgun load with the unjamming button.
Well done. My only gripe is that I’ve used both the Nemesis & Prometheus and definitely prefer the Prometheus. It shoots high, but with just a little practice it beats a Nemesis with capacity, distance, ROF, intimidation to new players, it’s better balanced... (The only asterisk that I would bring up with this is that I’ve also played in a couple wars with Mitch Essinger’s “Cardinal Sin” Nemesis. It just wrecks the world so this comment is in no way related to his Nemesis or its modifications.)

No word of a lie, I got my Prometheus here, used, in Canada for $25. It was next to new. One of if not the best deal I've got out of any of my blasters. Worst deal was my red Nemesis from Amazon I picked up this passed spring for $149.xx Canadian.

Nice review of the Rival line, I agree with your ranking. It would be nice for you to rank the blasters in each tier, ie 1,2,3,4 in each tier. Yes, please rank the other Nerf blasters by type.
My nemesis is a dud for some reason. It shoots 2 darts a second and only like 2 feet. I have replaced the batteries and it still shoots like that. The Hades is my current favorite blaster

I personally love the Artemis but all the ones I’ve used have a horrible accuracy and range issue. Nonetheless great blasters. Im surprised the Hypnos isn’t higher on our list, cause when you reviewed it back in December last year you liked it! I think the Hypnos is alright too. Definitely not great for the price but The magazine changes are really fast once you get the hang of it. Plus I’ve got 5 12 rounders so I’ve got more than enough primary ammo. Also who agrees that we need a Khaos 2.0 with slim profile like the perces, make the mags about 20rds so that they can be closer to a traditional magazine size? Then that’d make carrying multiples a helluva lot easier. I’d rock it.
I would put the Prometheus at A tier In my opinion and switch the Jupiter with the mercury and switch the Zeus with the Helios
