The fact that Carlsen wasn't even born, when Vishy Anand became grandmaster, still baffles me.
Anand could have been wc for much longer if not for kasparov best chess player after kasparov and magnus in my opinion

Who actually won the game
Magnus beats Anand 😁😂 That's why I like CARLSEN not anand
i swear the cutest thing anand does is talking about moves after a game, whether he wins or loses. i think that's the reason why i like him, he's always approaching people in a good manner.
(some players dont do this. some aren't consistent with it. some dont do it when theyre mad. but anand almost always talks to the player [not just for a short period] after the game)

At the end of the game they put their kings in the middle of the board. If both are on light squares, white won; if both are on dark squares, black won, and if they're on oppsite color squares, it was a draw. I learned this from a comment on another video, but google says the same thing
are you not understanding why Anand resigned? if so, the reason is because Rxe6 is just winning. If, say, black recaptures xe6, white moves Qd7+, forking the king and rook. white will recapture the rook and check the king once more, leading to inevitable mate.

The famous Magnus’s expression at 9:26 😂
ruclips.net/video/axDfOjsN2Pk/видео.html
The coughing was magnificent. The chess, a close second.
Two gentlemen who respect one another a great deal. A great game, and a great edit of a chess game! I will point out the fact that in this game, Magnus breaks one of the big "must-do" rules: he doesn't castle early, and he keeps his king in the center - - for many, many moves. I have seen SO many really impressive games where this "rule" was not followed (as Magnus did not follow it here), with no adverse effects whatsoever. To hell with this BS so-called "must-do" move. Each game presents its own demands, its own dangers; every player must respond as needed, and (wisely) consider every "must-do" move as merely "recommended."
1:21 That man never dared to cough after that in his entire life
🤣🤣🤣. Yep. This comment made my day.

@@amarjeetsinghmongia978 watch carefully . when that person coughed that loud and in a dirty way like a mad person, both carlsen and anand stared at him at the same time. Lol
😂😂😂😂
6:49 contagious cough
For those who don't know magnus won because after pawn takes rook there is queen D7 check if king h8 then Queen c8 mate ( it can only be prevented by sacrificing the queen after that he will ultimately win the game
If pawn captures white rook, then white queen gives check
The next move will be either blocking the check with queen but next move will be checkmate
Or moving king from A2 to A1 corner (according to board numbers) then next white queen captures black rook and gives check.
the only option is to move king to A2 back.. Then next move is check mate by white queen moving to B1.
Initially if white rook after capturing black bishop wasnt captured with pawn or queen after , then black rook will be placed on B1 by vishy. . next move would be black queen captured by white rook, then black king captures white rook, then white rook near white king captures black rook then white queen moves to B2 to give checkmate...
Anyways its checkmate in four to fige moves max..

@@theonlymaster9374 yes the pawn would kill the rook and it would be a stalemate

@@tarasuzanne7867 then his queen would be captured
@@tarasuzanne7867 if pawn didn't take the rook and instead queen took it then white queen would move to G7 to check mate.
I don't know why but some people tends to think this is a Stalemate, Stalemate is a kind of draw that happens when one side has NO legal moves to make. If the king is NOT in check, but no piece can be moved without putting the king in check, then the game will end with a stalemate draw! in this clip in the last board, Vishy is not in check AND he could still make a lot of legal moves, but he noticed that no matter what move he does Magnus could checkmate him with the queen, and that is why he resigned.

Eager to listen what two legends talk after their match
9:00 are they discussing what vishy sir could have played? then magnus replied 9:18 maybe bishop c4
At 3:46 , anand's knight could've taken the pawn at c3, then either Magnus take it, and then loses his queen by anand's queen or Magnus plays something else and loses his rook on A1, can someone please tell me why didn't and do so?
And at 4:35 , instead the situation is reversed when magnus's knight captures c4, threatening anand's queen, why didn't anand take the offensive?
Because at 3:46 he thought threatening E3 pawn as a better idea.
And at 4:35, he had became then he magnus could take both f3 knight and F4 bishop and also he will be threatening a check mate there after
at 3:46 Anand did not take pawn at c3 as evn if he takes that and magnus does not take it there is no threat to Rook at a1...also he played Rfe8 as it pins the pawn at e3 forcing magnus to protect it and make him execute a useless move (for his attack)....although it was magnus's genius that he used his king itself to protect it thus not only safeguarding the pawn at c3 but also allowing him to corner his king in future (if needed)
