    We are so lucky to see Carlsen still playing. The best player of 21st century clearly.
    Now I understand better huge disappointment and frustration of chess fans when Fischer quit playing at age of 29 years.( Carlsen is now 33 y.o. ) Fischer came back briefly 20 years later to play high prize money rematch against Spassky, but this was not the same any more. They both were way past their primes
    Carlsen is still in his prime. I hope he will play on this high level few more years, he obviously prefers now fast time controls, but it is still very exciting to watch

    • @bbjygm
      @bbjygm 5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, the first turn after a pawn jumps 2 spaces, a pawn to it's side can take it as if it only jumped 1 space. I believe it has something to do with not being allowed a passed pawn on their first move without giving the opportunity for opposing pawns on adjacent files to take

    The funny thing I noticed is that Vidith, who is a top Indian Grand Master, arrives and starts his prayer. On the contrary, Magnus enters slightly later and touches his pieces with his left hand, an act any Indian couldn't think of. As Indians, we only use the right hand for auspicious beginnings. There was no prayer from his side, and he very confidently beat the Indian. I think prayers are the last resort of a man who has no confidence at all. It will eventually drain the last bit of our self esteem.
    I have seen such farce from his contemporaries, like Pragnanandha. He is also very fond of rituals. We Indians are behind no one when it comes to intellectual ability. The lack of confidence is the only factor that withdraws us from major events. I presume that is definitely a by-product of the beliefs and prayers instilled in the core of every Indian. It needs to be studied by social scientists.

      Our culture is not the reason for us being on forefronts of world. Its the 'current' and 'past' generations of people to be held culprits with respect to misinterpretation of culture.. Our rituals/prayers are catalysts for good vibes or being in equilibrium. In olden days, people used to wipe their asses with left hand and reserve right hand for other things. So using left hand for any auspicious things stirs a murky picture in people minds and perturbs their mental sanctity so they insist on using only the right hand. Apart from that, there is no special significance for usage of right hand. The middle generations are the reason the culture is vastly misinterpreted. Western culture use either of hands for ass wiping with tissues so it doesn't matter to them. ABOVE ALL OF THESE, THE HUMAN EFFORT STILL TRIUMPHS. BhagavathGeetha and Devi Bhaagavatham insists this. Carlson worked very hard and exceptionally gifted (See him playing against multiple people without seeing their boards and still defeating them in very young age than Vidit or Pragg). So stop dissing our culture in comparison to personal abilities of people. You don't need scientists to study this simple aspect ...
