hello how's it going. This cartoon is done and now you are watching it. Isn't that wild? yes. I hope you like this one. It's about the times I played sports. I played basketball, baseball... I am just realizing right now that baseball is called base ball because you run around the bases... wow. I really just didn't know that this whole time. Anyway I also did skiing and track and field. I was bad at everything I did. I also talk about how I'm really bad at golf, but I am kind of thinking listening back to it that you kinda had to be there for that one. I think I've come a long way when it comes to making these videos but oof sometimes I just fall right on my face when it comes to telling stories. But it's all about improvement right? I'll just do better next time :)
I find that I am not really big into competitive stuff. Sports being one thing, but video games too. I like more casual games like minecraft. I used to be big into league of legends, but haven't played in years. It was so toxic, so now I just play block game :) and make block house.

I never liked sports and its always blown my mind the shear amount of data my family can memorize about it. They literally live and breathe it. Goes right over my head

(my mom actually got some of the gum for me to try. Regardless of what it represents, it tastes really good lol)

Dodgeball will always be my favorite even after the trauma from this story. Growing up, not many schools did Dodgeball as a little league team, but there were enough who participated to start one. My school was one of the little league teams. During the match, I went down to grab the ball and as I looked up, I got hit in the middle of my face. What made this worse was somehow whoever threw the ball, their teammate thought the same thing. So as the first ball impacted my face, the second one was right behind that ball giving the first one the extra push. The impact was so strong, it push my head back while my body stayed in place causing me to go to the bench for the rest of the game because of the damage it caused my neck to have. I remember it being so stiff, if I wasn't alive it could be categorized as rigor mortis.

I always hated sports because theres always those certain guys who are way too competitive and just suck all the fun out of playing them
i was a football guy in high school. pretty good at what I did, i was on offensive line, pretty big dude. I knew i wasn't gonna make the basketball team, or the golf team, or any of those other sports, but I still tried out for them anyway just to be annoying to the coaches. I remember trying out for the golf team, going up to the coach after the tryout and saying "I shot an 89." Coach said "Wow hey that's pretty good!", to which i then replied "Coach... that was the first 9 holes". I did not make the golf team... but I did get to dress all fancy for a day.

oh hey, im a boy scout, and my troop does yearly skiing activities, and i can say, quite firmly, skiing is hard, especially since the whole "fries to go fast" and "pizza to slow down" thing doesnt work all that well, especially on more steep hills, but in all of my skiing activities, i can say that the main hard part of skiing, is fear factor, especially when you go down a hill and you can see the bottom.
most easy hills are the same as hard hills (at least in most places where you sign up to go skiing) but the difference is how much of the hill you can see.
I used to like Basketball as a kid because of Space Jam.

I have sucky hand-eye coordination too, unless it's close up stuff like drawing or threading a needle or repairing spectacles.

When MY GRADE went cross country skiing, i was first in line and i fell over and couldn’t get up, and they had the little ditch things to guide us so no one could go around me

Had very similar experiences in softball! I was notorious for never swinging the bat (but had the most walks-to-base of any other player - I guess my never swinging really threw off pitchers lol). Also was not super great at knowing where best to throw the ball, so I played the least number of innings and was an outfielder. Towards the end of the season I actually hit the ball - with a recently-broken pinky - AND it stayed in-bounds AND I made it to first base! My coach and teammates were similarly shocked 😂
Turns out when you stick a kid who needs glasses with poor depth perception and undiagnosed ADHD in sports like that, we just don’t do so great 😂
Too much going on, everything is too fast, I’m rarely directly involved so my mind wanders, I am s w e a t i n g and it’s gross and the sun is too bright which are distracting, I have poor hand-eye coordination and I cannot tell how fast the ball is moving. I could catch and aim okay, but never knew where a pitch would land or get to me. Funnily enough I was great in the batting cages once I learned to time the pitching machine - consistent speed & placement, much easier!
I faired a lot better in soccer, somehow, but running was boring so I never kept up between seasons plus processing where the ball goes+all the people was a similar struggle. I didn’t get past one jv season in hs. 😅

I'm basically just like you at sports. Dont really care about them and I suck. Personally tho the worst thing isn't really the sport itself, its the fans. Some fans literally kill for some fricking dudes who kick balls into nets
I can relate as I suck at every sport up until I was 15 to finally find one sport that I enjoy: Table Tennis. I suck at the beginning but despite losing so much, I had the most fun I had playing a sport. fast forward to when I am 32 years old I finally found a sport that I am most passionate: Archery. Won my first bronze in my first competition at 36 years old. Most sports are very discouraging because there is a timeline you need to adhere to, especially if there are competitions. And most of the time, sports don't inspire passion because how there's pressure to catch up with other people. I am thankful that I found something that I am genuinely love even when I lose, I fail and I embarrass myself - I am willing to get back into it and become better.
For anyone who is looking for a sport where the PROCESS (instead of talent and winnings) matters a lot; I highly recommend archery.

We complain about football being confusing with all those players and how good they are, but we're totally cool with remembering all 800+ Pokémon with all their stats abilities and lore

Not a fan of playing sports and for a long time I thought watching sports just wasn’t my thing and then I started watching hockey…and that is the only sport that for some reason I have been able to keep up with and be fully interested in.
