  • We solve an example using a t table to estimate the p-value for a two tailed t-test for sample means. We are given the t-test statistic and will consult the table to find the p-value and make a conclusion regarding the null hypothesis.     If your t statistic is not obviously part of one of the option given, but inbetween them lets say df=7 and your t=2.798 can you guess the pvalue and say it would be about 0.14 (really rough estimate)

    It seems the t-test is called ‘test de Student’ in French, do you confirm ?

      That makes sense, it is often called the "student's t test".
