Outfront motorsport stands behind their products. That's what you need to begin with, save up and get the right engine.
I heard outfront is a hit and miss. I sold my Flex kit to some guy and he told me how he had a outfront and it blew up immediately so he's running an iag block
@@murderedsubie1517 guess iag is a hit or miss too… mine just started head gasket issues…
Iag 2.5 closed deck, built gsc heads, Corbin tuned.. 4,000 miles later it’s done lol
Why the hell doesn’t Subaru make there motors better for boost. I don’t get it
What I got out of this was "how we can sell you our 600whp reliable power package." Was hoping for more of the knowledge portion. Cool build though
I mean everything that was done to it was mentioned? lol
lol
That Aspen White Sti looks incredible. My absolute favorite spec besides the obsidian black Sti 👍
Think White pearl looks better
My wrx is obsidian black but the paints is in rough condition need to repaint so it looks 👌
That's not aspen white
I got a Java black pearl (black with gold flake) wrx. My dream colour
My 07'is WRC Blue with the BBS gold rims...
The most sought-after IMHO...
No closed deck? No valve springs? At 600 whp?
Spend the extra $800 on the closed deck and avoid a huge headache down the line.
Does older closed deck block fit ej207 heads ?
@@internalcombustion8744Yh they do but need rear thrust conversion however nothing wrong with 207 closed deck block best bet is to buy brand new case half’s or short block and have them closed deck
Or do a darton sleeve package that’s what I’ve got. The closed deck is much harder to come by.
@angusskinner7392
Not anymore.
IAG 750 has a closed deck and starts from brand new block.
I have an 07' STi...
Thinking of a IAG closed deck. Stock head and probably go with rebuild so no issues.
I only want to max out at maybe 450 to 475 WHP for now. Most made was 425WHP and about 410 WTQ on my original setup with boost around a mild 21-22 psi.
I have:
1. GT Spec II SS UEL Header
2. Perrin TMIC.
3. Short ram air intake.
4. Rebuilt FP Green turbo with hold 15mmHg between shifts.
5. 4 bar map
6. 1000 cc DW injectors
7. Cobb access port.
8. CP pistons on stock lower end for now.
9. Cobb lightened crank pulley
10. Down pipe
11. Mid pipe with fast flow cat.
12. Electric cutout with dump under mid car good for ~25 WHP due to stock axleback.
13. Fuel pump.
14. Gauges.
15. Stage 2 clutch.
16. Braided SS brake lines
17. J slotted rotors with HP plus street pads which don't need to warm up in the winter.
Love how the exterior is kept OEM+ too
Got that turbo kit on my car it's killer
Where are you rough WHP/WTQ and what boost running and where does the turbo hit in RPM range...?
Absolutely Perfect 🤩
You guys are so legit 🔥
Hey, are y’all going to Rocky Mountain Race week this year? Looking to pal up with some fellow Subaru fellers. I didn’t make it in time to race so I am doing the “road week”.
My dream Subaru 💯🔥
That just looks right
i would like to know the price range because this would be a great package !
My guess is close to 15k. the block alone is prob 5 grand.. never mind the labor, and other parts.
What’s the cost of this 600hp package, 2021 sti limited
About three 800hp LS builds.
@@rite2beararms 🤣
Do you guys have any dyno, or street pull videos? Any particular reason you went with this turbo, over something off of the EFR line? Having a hard time finding some solid info on a quick spooling 600whp setup
check out our instagram "offtheline_performance" there is some street pull videos on there!
Has to be a dog off the line...
Sometimes people get wrapped in the WHP when the closer your WTQ is to your WHP...
The more linear your curve is on the dyno.
Mine is almost 45 degrees to redline. Feels like it pulls solid
@@captainmikek8695 45* of timing?! Holy smokes
@@SGMSTi06 he means its like a 45 degree hill up when looking at the dyno chart of the power curve lol.
@@recoverygose I was gonna say 😂😂
How did you guys get rid of the choppy wastegate sound on this build? Genuinsly curious.
Rotated kit and boost control stuff ect.. theres a lot of different ways about it
@OffTheLinePerformance At this point I would literally pay yall to enlighten me because the noise is the only thing really keeping me from going to external wastegate at this point. Something about it just makes me think it's not healthy and sounds badly.
@@Anonymoose0913you can reroute it back using hoses or custom mount/weld a pipe back to downpipe. It’ll cancel out the ewg screamer pipe sounds. Google “ewg recirculation, ewg dump tube relocation” or something along those lines to read up about it. It’s fairly cheap to do, anywhere from $50-350 (MAX) depending on if you use the hose method or weld a small pipe.
Just about any custom exhaust shop can do the welding for you, for most likely under $300. Shops around where I live will do it for around $200. It’s a very clean and easy install at an experienced shop.
Also, just to add in. Turbosmart IWGs are very good units if you wanna stay IWG. Also, borg Warner efr series have built in IWG that I hear are very good at controlling the boost. BW efr or Garrett gtx or new g series are stout units for 600hp. After those numbers, best to go up to PTE for drag racing. 6466s are still gapping everything in the 700-800range at roll racing
@anonymoose0913, The choppiness as you say is just the waste gate opening and closing to maintain a specific boost level....ie waste gate duty cycle. It is being done electronically. That is why it is called an electronic boost solenoid. It will not hurt the motor.
@@Anonymoose0913 you can buy adjustable solenoids and make it smooth sounding with a tune. Also the uel adds to the choppiness
So my question is, you have to pull the motor to install head studs on the car correct? So why not add aftermarket heads since it’s literally an engine out job?
you want to pair camshafts to the turbo system, going with a larger camshaft would put the powerband outside of the operating range of the turbo. For larger turbo systems upgraded camshafts are more beneficial. For Subarus there are no aftermarket cylinder heads, so even on wild setups they still start with a stock casting, just loaded with parts and in some cases porting.
Gotcha thanks
Whats a good number i can get you at sir, this is the setup iv been looking for.... for my 07 sti, not crazy but enought to have fun in

So I just watched like 25 videos and noticed that no one at any company except MotoIQ ever mentions the price… Like it’s 2024 can’t we get a ballpark range or starting price or something? Worst part is they always justify not mentioning it lol… Also a couple different race shops have all recommended that I stay around 500whp with the Hawkeye. Also I noticed that most shops recommend IAG or out front for the engine just fyi
I am curious to see if all the stuff he mentioned even comes close to 30k if bought separately
Maybe more Without labor
Trust me it doesn’t, I bought everything myself iag 2.5 closed deck, everything gsc in heads, ets rotated turbo & fmic, id1700’s etc… just buy the stuff yourself
@@lbabe1996from what website ??
@lbabe1996 whats the estimated amount that you spent if you don't mind me asking
@@marcoguzman7934 yeah whats the estimated amount
What’s the final drive ratio
When I think reliable STI I think EJ207 ;)
The EJ257 was made for the US market because our gas is crap. Subaru started with the 2.0L, but it had too much lag so they built a 2.5. In fact early '04 STI's had detonation issues in places like Cali because of aggressive timing combined with extra shitty fuel at sea level. As a result Subaru brought the car's back in and retuned them. Owners were upset because it cost some power/response.
You could go to e85 which would help lag, but now you're going next level stand alone. At least for now.
I hear EJ 257 with EJ 205 heads revs higher and spins better...
What’s the estimated cost for this package?
^
A whole lot
Right around 30k plus.
super clean
600 WHP from G30-770? Do you have 100-200 km/h (or at lease 60-130 mph) dragy time for such Hawkeye?
They do 60-130 in about 6.5-7.0 at that level
How much for just the 600hp engine?
75$
@@momoknows 75?.........100?
The only thing that sucks about
Them is they don’t ship to Canada
clean CLEAN !!!
I have an iag build on 02 bug eye. Has 617whp , The car is trying to crab walk into the other lane when I hit full boost even at 70mph in 3rd gear. Has anyone driven wrx and it did this? No broke axles. Tires are 85% tread. Car is not enjoyable anymore. What can I try to fix issue? Tires are 5 years old am getting new ones hopefully fixes issue.
stickier tire will do wonders also make sure you have not too aggressive camber for a bigger contact patch
What’s the name of that killer intro theme???
ARP 625+ headstuds? 11mm?
What's spool and top end like on a GT30 with stock heads?
full boost around 4000rpm, the turbo holds power to 7200 which is where the redline is set, if the engine was revved out further you would begin to see power drop off. This would be the time to do an upgraded camshaft to take advantage of more top end, but this turbo really shines in the midrange up to 7k. Focusing on power at 7k+ is more advantageous in a racing application where you spend your time at higher rpm.
@@Jnorth85TheRsti hell yeah, it sounds great.
If I got those parts for my 08 wrx will it still be reliable and still push 600whp
ya
no the transmittikn will break
you have to swap to sti trans
Anyone find the pricing? Cutious to how much this build is with labor.
it costs anywhere from 35k to 45k USD depending on what you want with piping and ecu
Not closed decked?
what does somethin like this cost?

Built short block: $4500
Fuel system: $2000
Front mount Intercooler: $1200
Twindisc clutch:$1300
Garrett Turbo: $2000.

Yes we will actually be building a bugeye with our 600 package soon!

This is one of those videos I wish they would have left the thumbs down count up. Im curious how many people laughed at the title that have to buy new motors almost yearly due to being over 600hp and the motors just not lasting, thats why im here. It doesnt matter where the motor comes from or who tunes it the first time you start it you pull the pin on the grenade and its just a matter of time. If you want a reliable sti you leave it 100% stock and let the dealer do all the work on it but that isnt 600hp or fun. A good video on the effects of short term driving and E85 on a EJ motor is MotoIQ's new video. It will blow you away if you want to see how bad a ej motor can get. His daughter TRASHED a stock sti motor with E85 and short drives. Im not dogging the build. Its a nice build and I would love to drive it. I just wouldnt own it or daily it. This isnt a negative comment, just a thought and some curiosity. I dont claim to be an expert on Subarus, I have just thrown my wallet at a couple high HP Sti's for a bunch of years at this point and have noticed enough reliability issues to get out of Subi's all together. I do like the way the video was put together though keep it up.
That's a pretty harsh comment to make. This isn't just true for the EJ engines. The effects of e85 on any engine is the same. The properties remain true for all engines. I have about 50000km on my built ej25 and it's running solid. Oil is changed every 3000km and the car isn't a short drive car. I drive it daily and put about 300km a week on it. If I plan to sit it, I will run 98. E85 is a killer for those who aren't fully made aware of its effects on an engine and its characteristics.
@@leetpg The comment was more about the reliability of the ej. The E85 part I found interesting and figured I would share. you can grab 100 people with "built" sti engines and ask them about reliability over 600hp and I bet you wont find even 10 that say they daily it and its reliable and they love it. Then ask how many of the 100 have replaced their engine this year, I bet the number is around 15 to 20 people. Call any major shop and ask for a reliable 600hp with a warranty for X amount of miles. They wont touch that. Just tuning a Subaru now is hell since Cobb went Woke. you cant even run speed density or E85 for that matter anymore in California, thats why I moved. This channel picked a very touchy subject in the car world to make a video on, Im really surprised its not a flame fest and this is the most mild of comments. Now if this was about an engine known for being reliable and making good HP we wouldn't even be having this conversation. The video would have gotten a thumbs up and I would have went on with my day. I have built/bought many ej motors over the years trying to make them last. Different tuners, different parts, different builders. In the end they are just not designed to last at that HP unless you put a SHIT ton of money into them making sure they are built to the highest standard with the most expensive perfect parts. Then your good. I dont have 20k for a long block though.
No stand alone? A Link PnP would be cheap insurance.
Yeah but this is probably a 30k build all said and done 😢😢
Nobody said it was gonna be cheap
30k in jus engine parts not including the parts and fucks up
@@indemiks8777 waist of money

We try our best but we get tons of messages per day! if you have a question please reach out to our email sales@offthelineperformance.com. Sorry for this inconvenience
A stupid amount of money and still cant gaurantee reliability is the only answer lol.
That’ll be 60-$70k and guess what you still can’t pass emissions after it’s done because it has an aftermarket ecu. Sick setup but don’t call it a street car pls.
Who the hell builds a car to be emissions complaint? are you okay? it seems you have watched the wrong genre of videos. Im not sure if you understand the definition of "street car." Sure looks like it still has its stock frame and body panels. I Surely dont see any Lexan windows.
Soooo stock block? No sleeves? Didn't hear anything about gaskets? Valves? Springs? Intercooler? Either he doesn't know everything they do, or these guys have never built a Subaru before. Hard pass, and I'd suggest that NOBODY goes here
Sorry we didn't go in depth over specifics in our 3 minute video. But having built multiple 1000+hp subarus as well as a few that have competed and won at TX2K,, I would also say we have no Idea what were doing ;)
@@OffTheLinePerformancethat's relieving to hear. Honestly if I was advertising a "reliable 600hp EJ package", the FIRST thing I'd be focusing more on the built bottom end and what makes it reliable, and less on fancy titanium bling and what coilovers the demo car is on.
