It will help in the 60 NA, but it's going to flash too high when you spray it with nitrous. That's the problem I had you have to choose NA or nitrous can't have both.
I didn't film it cause it's easy stuff... Drops transmission, has to re-mount it to jack by hand, spills fluid on truck, on garage floor, on self, has to drive to buy more fluid in the truck that needs it, pulls out an important wiring harness... easy stuff XP
@LsBluuRacing- Im a new subscriber, and i was curious, what is your race wt.= with gas, and driver included? I really like V8 S-10s. I miss my old S-10, it had a 9 to 1 comp. 406 Sbc., with a Solid Roller Street cam, ford 9 inch, with mini spool, 3:50 gears, 4,000 stall speed, 9-1/2" tq. Converter, with anti-ballooning nitrous plates, and a NOS nitrous kit. I ran 28 x 14.50 Hoosier Quick time Pro Street tires. My race wt. was heavy= 3,350Lbs.
3350 ain’t bad. This truck used to be a 3400lb 5.3 daily driver with a 4l60e /4000 stall on a 150 shot that could drive to the track run 10.80’s and drive home. Now it’s at 3075 race ready with a 6.0. It’s pretty gutted now.
I've been following your build and binge watching the progress. I'm running a 5.3 in my 48' Chevy 3100 and modeling my engine build after your 5.3 setup. Which injectors were you running in your 5.3 with that TBSS intake? Thanks.
@@LsBluu 1 more question... with running nitrous and higher RPMs, did you ever run into higher crank case pressures? I know it's more common in boosted applications, but figured I'd ask as I've never ran nitrous before, nor revved a V8 out to 7k RPMs before either. Thanks.
@@catchkcsglide7945 tbh I’ve never even paid attention to it. I installed a catch can before Christmas and just emptied it out for the first time. Had a little condensation in it, that was it.
Definitely sounds better hitting 3rd! Will it lift the front off the ground leaving the line yet? I've done tons of converter swaps by myself on the ground. It's not fun! I have an adapter for my floor jack just for transmissions. It's a good investment!
You Won't get any mpg on the street with that stall cruising , if its race only then its fine! But it looks like that is not a priority, trade off's to performance.
ATI is an excellent converter. We ran one in a 64 Olds Cutlass we had a big block Chevy with a powerglide with turbo splines. It stalled at 4500. It always performed flawlessly. We ran it for 6 years sent it back and they refreshed it never had any problems. Yours sounds awesome can’t wait to see your track pulls.
This one is so new, she still has the new baby smell!!! ROFLMFAO!!! Now it's 3 daughters, 10 grand kids and 2 great granddaughters so far lol. GEEZ!!!! SOMEBODY BUY THEM A TV OR SOMETHING!!!! ROFLMFAO!!!!
How are the 799s coming? Itll definitely run alot better at track, we are the same setup minus im carbed, cm told me a 4500 stall for the cam and my goal of breaking 10s n/a indont use the nitrous cam. Anything under a 300 hit/ a total nitro baby i dont feel the need for it.
I love the comparison. I'm building S10 chassis with 6.0 in it right now. I have a 49 Chevy truck cab on chassis. And I know how important the converters going to be so I appreciate the video.

Sure you can, I lock the triple disc up in my 4l80e at WOT...OD to boot...loose as you want cause you can lock it up at cruise or wot
He don’t have a lock up

lol. I mean the job was simple. Until the old junky Jack and was using started to come down and let the trans shift and fall.
@@LsBluuwoulda made great content lol
@@Pr0digy47 I used my phone as a light. If I had filmed it, the whole video woulda been silent from the cussing. lol

@@LsBluu- They are a Blast! I ran 10s on street tires, and drove it 100 miles, round trip, to the drag strip.
I told you a pretty long time ago your setup with the cam your running will need a 4000+ stall converter

I had stock truck injectors and they were well over 100% duty cycle. Grab a cheap set of 50 lb and be set.
@@LsBluu thank you.

Going to be getting gallons per mile. Lol
What’s the horse power on this setup
Currently I’d guess around 430.

They’re basically finished porting. I could go in and clean them up a little more. They need to go to the machine shop.
@LsBluu i have 243s, hand ported ar home, let machine shop do a good valve job do you have flat tops or? You should be seein 10.7/8 here soon
Stays in the curve. Sounds good
Thing sounds real good on motor. You going to shoot this converter?
Yes. Going to start out with the 100 and work up from there.
Did you install some compression for that giant camshaft yet?
lol not yet.
She will rip now 🤙
Man she sounds good!!!!

Were these hits on nitrous?
