Hey jw do you use any fiberglass panels or doors? Got the same truck but its an extended cab so shes a heavy one and the motor is only a 400 sbc. So shes gotta go on a diet but Im trynna be able to keep her streetable. Wasnt sure if the fiberglass is worth it or not.
Richard holdener already done this. You loose power down low but gain maybe 20-40hp up top depending the cam. I have the same setup in my truck now. No 80hp gain from 706 to ls3 heads.
You said 80hp gain with ls3 heads. Now you’re talking about trap time. He has 706 heads, he will not gain 80hp by swapping a set of 823s. I have done the swap too. Just like everyone and their friends.

Get right on the tree! I always said at least a .070 light to be competitive when I ran 7.0/6.0 index and open comp.
