Explaining why some pieces are not taken is the best things i find in a chess teacher.

I find it interesting that engines have never really understood the King's Indian. I guess now the top engines can calculate all the only moves that prove an advantage for white, but practically speaking, KID is one of the most devastating tools in the black arsenal.

Computers probably cannot see far enough, gotta wait for practical quantum processors.

@@Radix.Strategy I think it's the difference between positional thinking and concrete calculation. The top engines are actually pretty good right now at calculating concrete lines deep enough that black really has trouble equalizing in the KID. But who knows, evaluations could change as computing power improves.

@@Radix.Strategy I think the problem is that they see too far. Like calculate 20-25 moves ahead, while humans can’t quite do that. Which is why kid is effective

@@Blinkers2007GameDevIt's quite the opposite because if you let the computer think for a while, it will realize black is actually doing well

Beautiful game. Thank you so much for the instruction. It is so useful to have the key moves and pieces explained. I have had the position many times before Nakamura played Rf2 and did not know what to do. Maybe you can make a kings Indian chessable course.

Definitely a great King's Indian Defense game. BTW, Naka analyzes this game in his Chessable course.

So much respect to Nakamura. Who else has the confidence to sacrifice everything and go all in on mating attacks with such style!

I was wondering if you could make a step by step opening any time soon about the English! It would be absolutely amazing.
    Take care!

It seems he plays amazing defensive systems altogether. We’ve all seen him play the “hippopotamus” to break high level chess bots. Not to mention the bong cloud, proving viable even at the IM level
