      I mean i can also remember certain positions from a year or more back when i reach them in a game,and im only 2000 on lichess,so thats not really that special. And i remember these positions after having played them in bullet and blitz,so it shouldnt be that hard to recall games in classical where you think for large periods of time and have positions embedded in your brain

    An example of the tactic on 17:11 move Bh3 is the Tal vs Gurgenidze game in the USSR Championship, it's a different tactic but similar idea.

    Interesting, engine on low depth gives better eval for 12..Qe7 than Qe8, but Daniel's argument about queen being exposed and vulnerable makes absolute sense

      Definitely, I've had a lot of problems in similar positions with my Queen on e7, Bg5 is one annoying move.

    So, this is what it looks like when GM Danya goes for the throat (of a 22xx no less) and not wasting time to play positionally ... an absolute treat. It's like a lion toying with his kill before consuming it. Merciless and precise.

    Delighted to learn Danya used to play the Pirc! I still use it as my main weapon, but I've plateaued around 2100... Wondering if I should branch out and dig into the Sicilian or Caro-Kann... Sensei if you see this comment I'd be curious to hear why you don't play the Pirc anymore, and what you switched to?

      He usually prefers the traditional e5, instead of the Sicilian and Pirc both in OTB and online

    Idk if this happens to anyone else, but I have done it a couple times. When I watch one of your videos and then immediately play chess afterwards, regardless of the position I swear I hear your voice saying what's wrong or right in the position and I generally play at least 10 points higher in accuracy than normal. Am I cheating?

      Also I play King's indian, and yeah Qe8 is so much better than Qe7 in almost any resulting position I have had. Learned that the hard way through hundreds of games because I am too lazy to actually learn theory lol.

    One time I faced 4 pawn attack playing KID. I was blown of the board so fast. After that I stopped playing KID and start playing 4 pawns attack against KID. I don’t say KID is bad, but against 4 pawn attack it is much easier to play for white than to play for black. At least in the style I enjoy playing.
