    Thank you so much for this video. You helped this 79 year old widow repair the grill. Weber sent the parts but no instructions. I would have had no clue what to do with it. 😊

    Regulator failed on my Q1200 after less than a yearr. Luckily Weber sent me out the $74(!) part for free. This video helped me to replace it quickly and easily. Thanks.

      Remember, a BBQ, will keep cooking your food for years and years if you clean her and sharpen it up. Similar to knife sharpening will sitting at a lake bait fishing. Nothin else to do lol. It will always be ready.

    Thank you. Your instructions were very clear and I was able to replace the unit even though I'm a complete mechanical klutz. My grill is now working perfectly.

    Replacing a crappy part with another crappy part. Hardly used my Q1200 and the regulator failed within a few months while camping, good thing camp has a grill over the firepit. Had to go back and forth with Weber support until they shipped me a replacement. Used that for a few months and that one failed too. It seems that there are a lot of folks have issues with this regulator, so I did some research and there are a few videos to replace it with an aftermarket regulator. Replaced mine and it's better than new. More heat and has been flawless so far. Weber needs to redesign this particular regulator.

    Excellent. A neighbor was disposing of their "old" Weber Q200/220. Took it home. Cleaned it. Fired it up only to find it needs a new regulator. Called Weber, ordered the part. And although it's slightly different from the model shown here in video, this video helps a lot to understand the steps and ease of installation. Can't wait to receive the new part and perform the installation and start grilling!!

    Just followed your video to install a new regulator on my Q2200. The old regulator was a dud after using the BBQ just a few times.

    Thank you as this video was what I needed, this is TOO easy !! Suggestion in your details section put the "TOOLs" required to complete this job, I see in the video it takes a 11/16 open end wrench and Phillips screwdriver, some of us newbies to repair this would be helpful, thanks again

    Thanks! I will try this tomorrow. FYI, I got a free regulator from Weber after calling them and going over my issues. Weber is great company that believes in their products and takes care of their customers. BTW, you have great voice. Ever thought of going into radio?

    I found it went in better if you loosen one of the lower leg bolt to increase clearance. Dont forget to clean burner while you have it out...

    What if the burner does not tightly fit into the regulator assembly? What is the best way to secure it tightly so that there is no leak

    Can you provide the technical specification of the regulator please?
    The regulator is almost certainly Not made by Webber but is a generic part.
    Webber parts are somewhat overpriced and I would prefer to replace it with a generic one. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

    How do I know if I need to replace the regulator assembly?

    • @ernestpaul2484
      @ernestpaul2484 3 года назад

      When your flame stays low on the burner tube (even after a real good cleaning of the tube and each gas hole), you hear "sputtering" from the burner tube as the grill heats up, you notice that the flame height pretty much stays the same no matter where you spin/turn the rotating control to. I just got my new regulator in the mail and I have put an inline filter on it to weed out any contaminates coming from the 20 lb tank I use. The original regulator, to its credit, lasted 6 years. I also purchased a new burner tube. The money invested in this grill is definitely worth while. It has been THE best propane grill I have ever had.

    Most overrated grill ever. They are junk. Mine has been through 2. I'm trying a different approach to fix it this time. If it doesn't work after this it's going on the junk.
