Testing the Weber Q 2000 (Q 200). Is it a good Portable Gas Grill?

- Last weekend I got the chance to test out the Weber Q 200 portable gas grill and it came with a lot of surprises! Turns out this thing is pretty powerful for how portable it is. Let me know what you think 👍.
UPDATE: I initially thought this was a Q 2000 but my viewers have let me know it is in fact a Q 200! The Q 200 is similar to the Q 2000 but is older and doesn't have a built in thermometer among a few other small differences. Regardless, this was a really cool grill and the Q 2000 with the added features I imagine is that much better!

Nice review! Looks like that is actually the Q200 (but basically it's the same thing as the 2000). Pretty cool that the rental property had one for you to use. My guess is some grime is blocking the igniter and burner tube, but otherwise the amount of heat you were getting from it suggests that the grill is otherwise in good shape. These Qs awesome and versatile grills! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome catch! I wouldn't have ever noticed that this was the older Q 200 model. You are truly a Weber Q expert 👍👍. The igniter appeared to be sparking still but not lighting. I bet it would work again with some maintenance. Overall a surprisingly capable grill! Especially for one that's been so used!

i have the same grill, bought it in 2004...replaced the burner a couple of times...works great.
The little guy seems pretty bullet proof! I was impressed with the design of the aluminum shell, there's not much that can go wrong!

Weber Q's are just great grills...i have never thought of buying any other brand...this grill can do just about anything you need to do

No smoke sear up to give that grill flavor. Basically a cast iron oven
