The further you get towards the Salt Belt, the more people actually pay attention to their brakes. It's so appreciated to see people demonstrate the details correctly.

Thank you for this positive feedback! I couldn’t agree more, those little details can make or break all the efforts in the salt belt

At 208K miles my son's 2002 Prius rear brakes had unmeasurable wear. He changed them on the basis of age.

Hey Will! Great job. Did you always have an alignment rack and I forgot about it or is that a semi-recent addition to the shop?

I have a 2015 Venza. How can I tighten the brake pedal travel? I have to depress the pedal further than comfortable. The car only has 24k miles.

There’s a couple things to check or have checked.
      1. Frozen caliper slide pins. One tell tale sign that this is happening is uneven brake pad wear. If the pads are wearing uneven.this is more than likely why.
      2. Air. If anyone worked on the brake system in the past there might be air in the system
      3. Leak. This is usually pretty obvious since the fluid level will Drop. How’s the fluid level? Keep in mind it’s normal for the level to drop some as the pads wear down. So if it’s just a little low that usually consistent to pad wear.

Every one is scared to let a 2 pound caliper hang down. I've done it for 30 years and never had an issue

I get it, as you see most times i find I can sit it on top. For a demonstration I felt as though gotta show or at least mention this in the event that one weak hose collapses internally.
