How to use Ventolin inhaler

How to use the Ventolin inhaler which contains salbutamol. This short acting inhaler is also sometimes known as a "blue" inhaler. Most commonly it is used as a reliever for asthma, although it can be prescribed for many other conditions. It is probably the most common and well known inhaler.
The inhalation technique involves first breathing out and then as you are breathing back in you press on the inhaler and continue to breathe in slowly an deeply trying to catch the aerosol that is released.

got first asthma in my 40s. i just learn there is 2 type of inhaler, reliever and preventer. previously i use symbicort turbuhaler (budesonide) during severe attack. provided by my doctor and pharmacist. my cough with phlegm never stop even after 3 weeks, i lost my voice in process. my best buddy (with asthma history since child) recommend ventolin instead, and it works. i don't understand why my doctor and pharmacist doesn't recommend this reliever inhaler at the first place.

multumesc, sunt fumator de mult timp, am 37 ani, abia mai respiram. am luat ventolin si ma ajuta. dar am renuntat ai la fumat de cateva luni. incerc sa fac si sport. multumesc mult de tot m-ai ajutat enorm! (chiar daca am luat de capul meu ventolin). rau nu are ce sa imi faca. ma gandeam daca sa iau spiriva respimat sa iau doar dimineata....

U need to wait about 30 seconds until u get another dose, if u need to have 2 doses, don't do it immediately.

I just got my budesonine and did this method. So while holding my breath and exhale slowly is it supposed to have that medicine smell going through my nose and aftertaste on my tongue?

Make sure you rinse your mouth after. If not there are complications.

yes that makes sense - you should trigger the inhaler just as you are starting to inhale

I have sore throat, my complaint to doctors was excessive coughing can’t sleep at night due to coughing and My chest hurts may b because of muscle pain I dnt know..
He checked and said its viral infection and gave me this pump and asked to take 4 pump at one time whenever I cough and no other meds to treat my infection ..
I came home and read about the inhaler all I read about is asthma and bronchitis..
Can any one please help me?? Do I have asthma? Bronchitis or the doc gave me right thing for viral infection and extreme coughing??
