@@QuantikoOfficial Yes there is. From my own experience, over the course of a couple months, the metal tab bends backward and the trigger travel expands overtime. This is just from occasionally squeezing the trigger too hard and just overall usage. This happens because, unlike the stock trigger setup, there is no mechanical stop the prevents you from applying a shear bending stress to the metal tab when pulling the trigger beyond the new firing point. Best way to prevent this is by getting used to the new hair trigger pull and only pull until it fires, and no further. The pull should feel very similar to stock since it is under the same spring tension. is there anything that could damage my gun if i do this like spamming too quick and hurting something and if i don’t like it can i still pop the pieces of plastic off and go back to normal in the future?
You can definitely pop it off in the future. Super glue isn’t exactly permanent so it shouldn’t be too hard to remove. From my experience, the g&g etu has been very robust. Spamming semi auto is something any mosfet should be able to handle under realistic circumstances. Like in a real life game you might have to spam about 5 - 10 shots a time which is definitely okay. But once you start spamming hundreds of shots in a row non stop, you will start stressing the electronics and the motor since I believe g&g etu’s have active breaking. Overall, I wouldn’t worry about damaging the gun. I hope this helps
you should be fine, g&gs are pretty damn solid guns and tend to last a really long time. i have a pretty quick trigger finger so i will spam tons of shots in a row and the worst if had happen was my motor started overheating and the teeth on my piston sheered off. if you are going to spam your trigger a lot make sure you reinforce the parts that wear down the quickest. make sure you have a piston with metal teeth especially so it doesn’t wear down. also don’t let it overheat
Cool but how do I speed up to firing rate of the gears/piston? The travel time is still the same so I have to hold the trigger down until it fires in semi-auto.
From what I read online about the G&G cm16 R8-L, it doesn't have the ETU mosfet. So unfortunately I don't think this will work for that gun :( Though, I might be wrong. If you open up the gearbox, check to see if you have the same reddish-orange trigger unit. If you do, then this will work.

@@airsoftscientology8885 I’m pretty sure this mod will work on any gun because all airsoft guns have that tab on the trigger that hit the switch and all you’ll have to do is the same thing you did right or wrong?
@Julio Sanchez It depends. Not all airsoft guns have that tab on the trigger. If the gun has a regular mechanical trigger switch then this will definitely not work. If the gun has a microswitch like the one in the video then you're right - you can apply the same concept of adding material to the trigger to decrease the amount of dead travel. Overall, it depends on the manufacturer and which trigger system they use.
arent you going to face the problem of the extra material pushing the button to hard/far and therefore maybe break the microswitch? it seems like there is nothing to prevent the trigger from traveling to far. like the small screws you have on actual hairtriggers. hope im wrong and your gun and yourself will do well :)
Great analysis! I have actually looked deeper into this topic and found that the micro switch is extremely durable against any direct perpendicular force applied to it. It seems as if the micro switch itself has a built in mechanical limiter that prevents it from being pressed into failure. I’ve had this hair trigger mod on for tens of thousands of semi auto shots and the micro switch is yet to break. Also important to mention is the relationship between the micro switch and the metal tab with respect to their individual maximum allowable stress - the metal tab has a lower “failure” point than the micro switch. This means that, in practise, when you pull the trigger really hard (beyond the point of switch activation), the metal tab will actually bend backwards, allowing the excess force to be distributed away from the micro switch. The only downfall of this is that, overtime, the trigger pull grows larger and larger. To solve this, I cut out a small rectangular plastic piece from the same card in the video that sits in the space behind the trigger. It’s a bit difficult to explain in text but this plastic piece acts similar to the small screw you mentioned, providing a true mechanical stop that limits the trigger travel from exceeding the point of activation.

The ETUs in the v3 gearboxes will look a bit different than the one in the video since the arp uses a v2 gearbox. But the same concept of adding material to the trigger to eliminate dead space between the micro switch and trigger still applies.
I believe if you polarstar your arp9 you would replace the entire trigger unit with the polarstar unit so this exact method may not work. But here is a video I found of a guy putting a hair trigger in his polarstar unit: ruclips.net/video/-n9dE59E6iA/видео.html Hope this helps!
I can't seem to find a solid answer online about whether or not the raider 2.0 has the ETU. I would say to just open your gearbox up and check if it has a trigger unit like the one in the video. If it does, then yes this will work.
I’m unsure if the ssg1 has the same etu as the arp9, but if it does, then this should work. The speed trigger might be a little different but the same concept applies.
This mod is based off the G&G ETU so I am not so sure about the lancer tactical ETU. You may be able to apply the same concept of adding material to the trigger if the lancer ETU's use a micro switch.

I am very late, but would this work on the Valken ASL line?
Will this work on a ump 45 aeg it has a v3 gearbox the 155 dollar version
The ETUs in the v3 gearboxes will look a bit different than the one in the video since the arp uses a v2 gearbox. But the same concept of adding material to the trigger to eliminate dead space between the micro switch and trigger still applies.
Does this work for the lancer tactical nightwing?
Sorry, I am not sure if it will work with that gun. This mod is based on the G&G ETU.
Will this still work if I polarstar my arp9
I believe if you polarstar your arp9 you would replace the entire trigger unit with the polarstar unit so this exact method may not work. But here is a video I found of a guy putting a hair trigger in his polarstar unit: ruclips.net/video/-n9dE59E6iA/видео.html
Hope this helps!
will this work on a g&g raider 2.0?
I can't seem to find a solid answer online about whether or not the raider 2.0 has the ETU. I would say to just open your gearbox up and check if it has a trigger unit like the one in the video. If it does, then yes this will work.
does this work on a cm 16?
or a gc16 predator
@@oscarchmielinski8289 yes it will work with the gc16 predator since it has the etu
Would This work on the ssg-1 ?
I think it will work. From my research, the ssg1 has the g&g etu mosfet like the one in the video.
@@airsoftscientology8885 ok
Will this work on the arp 556?
Yes it should work
do you know if this would be possible in an m4 aeg?
Only if it is made by G&G with the built in mosfet
Would this work on a cm16 raider?
Will this work on a Krytac mk2 pdw-m?
Unfortunately not. That model uses standard mechanical trigger contacts.
Would this work for a ssg1 too?
I’m unsure if the ssg1 has the same etu as the arp9, but if it does, then this should work. The speed trigger might be a little different but the same concept applies.
Will this work for the lancer tactical lt06?
This mod is based off the G&G ETU so I am not so sure about the lancer tactical ETU. You may be able to apply the same concept of adding material to the trigger if the lancer ETU's use a micro switch.
@@airsoftscientology8885 thanks
Does this work on the arp 9?
Yes
That’s what the gun is
Would this work on a g&g cm16 raider?
Does this work with the GC 16 predator ?
