Whoa... what a fantastic tip. This works like a charm, thank you for sharing it. Really awesome! I have combined this with my Zhiyun Smooth 4 Camera Gimbal and that makes me look super professional, as the gimbal smoothes out any shakyness but keeps the dynamic vibe of recording / streaming with the phone cam.

"Maximum resolution" isn't available anymore. It's just 1080p, so I can't use it to use the 4k my camera is capable of

I did all the steps correct but I just keep seeing it trying to connect on the obs but I can see the camera on my end. What am I missing?
Remove it and add it again, and make sure the source is the top layer

Great tut. Wondering if this process needs doing each time you want to use your phone camera with OBS. Or will OBS automatically remember when you reopen the particular scene you've set it up in.

bro i was trying forever to get my older gopro hero3 to work, then my old nikon d5200 and it was working then after 30 mins it gets too hot. for 3 hours i was trouble shooting why my iphone couldnt be found on my computer, and changed cords installes a bunch of stuff, hours wasted as this is the best SAVIOR for me, i can across your video and BRO YOUR THE SHIT SAVED MY TAIL.

This is my first time streaming and I honestly thought it would be a hop, skip and a jump... there are endless things you need to do it's so aggravating. But you make it easy. I finally got it after 2 hours of watching tutorials and just figuring it out on my own.
Any advice for how to hear your stream from the perspective of the viewer or follower? Once I plug in my USB pre-amp/audio interface, I cannot hear my volume.
Hi @levelintent on the audio mixer area on the OBS you will see a settings icon, press that and choose which source you want, in the column that says audio monitoring, or where it says monitor off change that to monitor and output by clicking on it. This should work. Let me know if it doesn't so I can send you a video link.

First two are in the room with me on two spots on the cat tree; the iphone cam is in the great room where my two fur babies often lounge when not in the cat tree. mine in broken or something, just stays showing the "share your camera" and "share your screen" options in obs even though my phone camera is on, i hate new obs is there a way to downgrade my version?

Worked perfect when I did it the first time. When I came back to OBS later, it wasn't finding my phone. Do you have to copy the browser source link into OBS each time you want to do this? Thanks
Glad it worked and if you do close obs, and open again you may need to generate a new link so it pick up, but normally as long as you keep the tab on your phone you should be fine
