    Get your phone connected into OBS for your next live stream! Today I show how easy it is.

    • @NightBeyondVeil
      @NightBeyondVeil 14 дней назад +1

      I have a question. If the company you work ask you to use your phone to live-stream their events as excuse to not buy proper equipment. Should you give in? or do a crappy job with a webcam?

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  13 дней назад +1

      @@NightBeyondVeil , that is a fantastic question! TL: DR - don't do a crappy job. Why not? More details are below for you.
      It's a tricky situation. While it's tempting to cut corners when the right tools aren't provided, I recommend avoiding intentionally doing a subpar job. The work we produce is always associated with our professional reputation, and word can spread quickly-potentially impacting our future opportunities.
      Instead, I suggest having a constructive conversation with your boss. You might propose that while your phone or a basic webcam can be a backup option, investing in proper equipment would ensure the best possible results for the event. You could even research affordable equipment options or suggest renting gear for the event. This way, you maintain your professional integrity, deliver a quality live stream, and avoid negatively affecting the experience for those tuning in.
      Ultimately, it's about finding a solution that meets your standards and your company's needs without compromising your reputation or the viewer's experience.
      Hope that helps!

    Fantastic !!! Mobile cameras are so much better than regular cheap webcams, unless you have a very expensive 4K webcam most mobile cameras will be light years ahead with much less noise, better low light image quality and so on, and the best is that it's completely free (if you have a mobile phone) and wireless.

    It has kinda questionable security because of publicly available token. Just in case of someone wants to have an access to the stream from the phone, it can be done without streamer actually willing to show it in the actual stream (e.g. choosing scene without phone camera). DroidCam is a better option since it uses local network.

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  Год назад

      The browser uses HTTPS, so it is as secure as expected from a platform like that. However, if security is an issue, use a camera and do it "properly". Thanks for raising it as a point that needs considering though!

      So good. One thing to keep an eye out for is the audio lag you get from the phone. A workaround I have employed is adding delay to the main audio until it matches my phone (or is at least acceptably close). Let us know how it goes!

    • @psycull
      @psycull Год назад

      @@Waiting2BScene the way I'll have it set up is I'll have my webcam also on during this so do you mean my webcam audio will lag? I was planning on muting the phone audio while doing this so there isn't double audio

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  Год назад

      @@psycull - nah the other way. Because the phone footage and audio need to get to OBS via the internet, there will be inherent lag compared to your webcam footage. And that is okay, so long as you account for that. I suggest adding delay specifically to the other camera *in your case, your webcam).

    Does the microphone from your phone be included in obs too?or just the camera?

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  Год назад

      Hey DNT, that's a great question. If you have given your phone browser access to the microphone, when you connect to VDO, what you are sending to OBS should include audio from your microphone. The challenge then becomes syncing between the phone audio and the rest of your OBS setup. If it is crucial, add delay to your main audio to try and get it to synchronise as much as possible. Let us know how you get on with using it! :)

Both fruit and yet both are incredibly different in so many ways.

      TBH, that sounds like a phone setting, rather than an issue with either the Ninja or OBS platforms. Take a look at your phone's screensaver mode perhaps? Hope it goes well!

      Someone else asked that question too: they had success with Discord apparently, though I haven't tried it myself.

    How did u fix orientation? mine is horizontal in browser but the box in obs shows vertical

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  Год назад

      Great question. When you create the browser source, you need to change the width and height settings in there. So if it is a 720p source, make your height 1280 and the width 720... etc. Hope that helps you out.

    It's full-screen mode available?

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  Год назад +1

      VDO will send whatever setting you enable it with. In short, yes, it will appear as a full-screen image (rather than a shared browser window) if that is what you meant.

    Do you have any videos or feedback on doing this with 2 or more phones?

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  Год назад

      I haven't made a video on that, though i have done this using a phone and a second laptop for testing. Seemed to work okay. It can get a bit laggy depending on the internet connection between everything, though.

    ok but for 60 fps video 720 p and 1080 p ? How can we do it ???

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  Год назад

      If you open an OBS Virtual Camera device in VDO.Ninja BEFORE starting the output in OBS, the OBS virtual camera will default to 1080p 30fps. If you start OBS first, then it will use whatever is set as the Output resolution and framerate in OBS Studio's options, under Settings -> Video.
      Hope that answers your question.

    Please suggest head phones or microphone. Can I record with Mobile Audio video

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  Год назад

      When you set up the VDO connection, you can choose the audio source, and then tweak some extra advances settings. As for headphones and mics... find the best kit you can afford. People will exuse bad video (to a degree), but they will switch off because of bad audio a lot quicker!

    What to do if it takes a while for the camera image to show? It only shows out a red "loading" circle.

    • @Waiting2BScene

      A common problem. Sometimes it is fixed by going into settings, advanced, scroll to bottom, then uncheck enable browser source hardware acceleration in sources.

    How safe is that? I mean how sure are we that the site is not going through anything in our phone aside from the camera?

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  2 года назад +1

      No promises of course. But it does use an HTTPS connection (same encryptionas your banks for eg), and specifically asks for connection to the camera and microphone. Anything beyond that, maybe give a try it via DuckDuckGo and use a VPN to further secure your connection.
      Great question though!

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  2 года назад

      Double click the browser source in the sources window. That will open the dialogue box where you need to paste (or manually type) the URL. As for GETTING the URL, I pasted it into Messenger and sent it to myself. Then I used Messenger on the desktop to copy that URL over.

    How to improve the audio coming from the camera please?

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  2 года назад

      If it is important that you have the audio in the camera be good - then you need to invest in a better microphone for it. Something like the Rode SmartLAV might be the best solution.

      Use media source instead of browser, and then input field for where you put the url. It'll take some time to load, though.

    Does it mean that people are looking at it?

    • @Waiting2BScene
      @Waiting2BScene  Год назад

      What do you mean? As in other people are looking at it while you stream to OBS? Well, strictly speaking - if 'they' happened to break the HTPPS protocol and discover your stream, then I guess someone could watch that wasn't you using OBS. But hey, if you are concerned about being hacked, I'd suggest researching and using a more secure solution. I'd be keen to hear your thoughts on what would work! :)
