This is one of the most common complaints I hear about souls games, yet I don't mind swampy/water areas, nor do I care that it slows your movement down, since that's how it should be anyways. I'm not sure why the community at large seems to hate all swampy movement penalty areas... it's a part of the dam game and part of the challenge, I say keep em coming Miyazaki, can't wait for the elden ring Swamp
@@inikotheironic5139 well actually ds1 is the odd one out, since in every other souls title you level up at a firekeeper/maiden in black. probably because in ds1 you spend a lot of time away from firelink shrine and aren't able to warp there until later in the game, while in the other titles you either have the ability to warp straight up, or in demon souls case the only ability of the archestones is going to and from the nexus.
in DS3 especially it's very noticeable especially early on that you have to waste time with 2 loading screens every time you want to level. they probably do it for two reasons: 1) it encourages you _not_ to level, increasing the chance of losing your souls. 2) it forces you to return to firelink shrine, otherwise you might almost never go back there. in DS1, the geography always tends to loop back to the shrine, but in DS3 you get geographically further and further away.
@LeadFaun In DS3 your quest is basically to walk all the way mostly linearly to Yhorm, with a side adventure in the Cathedral (and then eventually going to the castle that you started at). Forcing you back to Firelink all the time is very noticeable to me because there's no reason to go back there otherwise. (another reason they force you to return all the time (sort of spoilers) is to associate it with everywhere you're going, to get you ready for the "twist" of sorts that it's actually in a different dimension/universe/time/whatever than the world that you're venturing to). in DS2 I find it not so bad, because Majula is actually the geographical hub, not just the place you teleport from. you adventure away from it, but always return after making it to the end of that path, and then start again in a different direction. I think another reason that it's "especially" is how much slower you level in DS3. you just _barely_ get one level, and then have to go through two long loading screens just to get that one level (or risk losing it). meanwhile in DS2 you get like 5-10 levels all at once, making your trip a lot more meaningful.
@@Ashalmawia in ds1 the game geographically takes you back to firelink after ages away from it, since you have no way to warp to it. while in demons, ds2, ds3 the game isn't geographically taking you back to either place, so you warp back. in ds3 when it comes to barely getting a level, you're most likely over levelled while in ds2 you get a stupid amount of levels quickly, having the same levels you would end ds3 with halfway through the game.

Thank God you made a video for this, I've been dying to do some co-op/pvp with the mod proper but the community has been a lil' lacking from my experience.
Tried it out after watching that vid. I like certain parts of it, like having new infusion effects or being able to regulate game difficulty via modifiers. But certain things feel out of place or underdeveloped. I suppose it shouldn't matter because the mod is clearly directed at people who have played all games in the franchise, but it certainly spoiled the experience for me since I expected it to be somewhat serious, but ended up feeling as if I installed 1 massive overhaul mod and then 30 random(in content and quality) mods on top.
I have been playing Cinders and what young man and old man said was completely... RIGHT seriously, if your on pc, play it, their are some technical things, but with family share disabled, I honestly love how so many of the community have just moved to playing mods online (Yes, Cinders is online capable, read the wiki for more). I can tell you. It's worth the download and the mod creator posts updates so often the community has trouble knowing what patches to run. This isn't a bot or something btw. You can check that by going to Vaaiti's art comp video and seeing I argued like a child about someone being petty... the irony isn't lost on me. Pls. If your on pc, join us and give up on the age of fire. Don't fear the dark my friend, and let the feast begin. Oh, and their are other great mods, I'd name them or where to find them, including cinders... but if you've played a dark souls game, you should know how to read background info to enrich yourself, so go find a item description or something ; )
Bardiche is a polearm, the oval form is more rare historically, usually it was more square with a spike, it basically is an earlier form of a halberd, and just like halberd can have different form heads, bardiche can too
Funny you should say it was actually added very recently, like a few days ago, for the current Github playtest version (not on Nexus yet but eventually) along with the Forlorn, Jester, Loyce, Charred Loyce and DS1 Gold Hemmed set (the armor you pick up that makes Ceaseless Discharge angry)
Limit Senpai you responded to my message many cycles ago, and even made a video using my idea, but I now pose you this conundrum: in my personal testing i found fall damage to be reduced in dark souls 3 if I backstep off a ledge as opposed to walking off it. If true you have to retest everything from your fall damage video from like half a decade ago muahahaha. Enjoy all the data I just made useless

Then I saw people complaining about the mod on the official Reddit, and then all get taken down. What the fuck is this person doing? He's the George Lucas of modders.
What version would you say the mod was at its best?
He’s gone hollow
Oh god, the mod sounded promising but after checking & confirming that those things are true, everyone should probably avoid that mod, specially version 2.00 onwards which was when the reinforce system was removed
i wonder if there are any mods like this but without the random bad changes
@@brunobruno-c1d try the convergence mod
@@hatefulgaming1800 the convergence mod feelt too op, i played using the intended way (caster) and i pretty much never had the slightest challenge since casters don't need to be glued to the enemy, and i felt bad for SoC, he is the proof that this mod needs to be balanced better since many people (myself included) just waited without attacking to see if he had anything new because the battle was so short
this is such an underrated channel it makes me sad
Idk what you mean? This channel is pretty popular.
@@kaspersaldell is it though?
@@johnjonesring Yeah 312K subscribers isn't bad at all.
@@kaspersaldell ik, but he deserves a million, compared to other channels, good editing, lots of effort put into the videos, underrated in my eyes at only 300k
@@johnjonesring Yeah I totally agree. 312K is good, but he should definitely still have more.
Don't forget: You can also summon a crab as a companion. Crabs don't leave crab friends behind.
Love this mod, have been playing it for about a year now and it keeps getting really great updates.
Shame Fromsoft/Bandai banned family share so i'll have to play it on my main but it's definitely a great addition to the game and bumps up the replay value by a bunch!
i think its worth getting your account banned for it to be honest. The original game is good but this mod makes it so you'd never want to go back. Also a lot of people are actually playing it so stuff like pvp actually happens still
Deacon Jay Langfield i agree but i’m still careful as i have 1000+ hrs on my main account and don’t want it banned. Luckily if you put it in offline you’ll be relatively fine
*UPDATE* family share got back enabled again so now i can play Cinders and Champion's Ashes on an alt again hell yeah!
The editing and delivery gives me serious Erick Wright vibes, takes me back some years to my DotA days.
Very good video, showcases the mod quite well without showing too much.
That little dance Limit does makes me very uncomfortable
your videos are always edited so well, keep up the awesome work man!
Grandson's wiggling makes me viscerally uncomfortable
THE PRULD SAYING "IO SONO LA FORMA DI DRAGO DI DARK SOULS 2" IS FANTASTIC
I would say you had me sold at Giantdad, but you really had me sold at the Artorias body pillow.
Just wanna say. I LOVE your videos! They really make me laugh and its hard to get a genuine laugh out of me as of recent. Thanks man!
AND he didn't even mention enchantable shields. What a legend.
Man, Limit has a hard time sitting still. I can now understand old man's frustration.
Also *h a h a , t i m e f o r c r a b.*
The crab weapons are really the best part
"Nooo you can't just change the entire base game the developers made it that way!!!"
"Hahaha crab dance funny"
I love how the ladle uses Estus Shards to upgrade
12:38
Whats with the uh, Wayfarer class there?
Giving a sneak peak of 5 seconds later or did you not notice the frame?
I thought that it was his miracle build given the topic of viable builds XD
Thank you so much for the discovery, I've downloaded it right after I saw the crab armor and it's an incredible mod so far. The ammount of work and obvious passion that have been put into this mod is really crazy.
T i m e f o r C. R. A. B.
Definitely seeing the attention to detail with your edits man, awesome stuff truly a video to remark. Not to mention you sold the hell outta that mod
I loved the changes in this mod, but I felt that there was more adding enemies than changing. I felt like I was constantly having Outriders shoved up my butt, and is it just me or did bosses take much longer due to added health or something?
i hate how they think adding health, or making them attack faster makes it harder. it’s just more tedious
It's really nice to have a video with such detail. Video put big happy smile on face thank you for making it xoxo
13:42 You had me at Ice Crab Claw. I'm going full ❄️🦀
Your FP bar restores passively. Best mod.
I don't know who sings the song on 6:10, but he sounds like he's only 5'8 tall. Loved the video btw, the mod looks interesting
5'8? Sounds 5'3 to me
He sounds like a guy who would die to Pinwheel.
He sounds like someone who beat Slave Knight Gael on stream
yo, this guy sounds FUCKED!
"You wanna get bakestaybed?"
I love the Cinders mod so much! It’s take the best parts of every game, along with some welcomed changes, and combines everything into a fantastic package
If I remember correctly, didn't the developer of this mod go really crazy, add a bunch of dumb stuff and nerf strength weapons into the ground?
Your content quality is godlike
This hasn't aged very well
How come?
@@rampageblizzard the mod is dogshit now and the creator has their head up their ass
@@Guyy_1 laaaaame. I played it a year or two ago and was considering doing another play through but it seems everyone says it’s decreased in quality. Oh well.
@@rampageblizzard Its really sad what happened to it but if you want to play a good big content mod then you can play Convergence 2.0 or Champions Ashes
@@Guyy_1 Thanks dude, I'll be sure to check them out.
Those are some interesting idle animations you got there, Limit
Last time I was this early, the old man was hitting phantoms during a performance.
Funny thing is, a LOT of stuff has been added since this video was released, it keeps getting updated. I love this mod
A lot of stuff was also removed.
@@steel5897 It's a neverending cycle
One of my favorite things about this mod is all the new NPC enemies, they fit well usually and makes the world feel more alive and lived in.

Great video outlining all the changes.
Unrelated, but I enjoy Grandpa's dynamic with Grandson.
Oh, and their are other great mods, I'd name them or where to find them, including cinders... but if you've played a dark souls game, you should know how to read background info to enrich yourself, so go find a item description or something ; )
is this... an advertisement for being banned?
@@kahnbickle9525 Kinda?
Cannot get over that filter he puts on whenever bloodborne is referenced
It's crazy how much every dark souls game can be improved with small balance changes and enemy placement changes.
Missed opportunity in calling it Wolf Knight's Greatpillow but never the less good to have you back Limit. I've missed ya dearly!
Bardiche is basically just a specifically shaped two-handed axe.
Bardiche is a polearm, the oval form is more rare historically, usually it was more square with a spike, it basically is an earlier form of a halberd, and just like halberd can have different form heads, bardiche can too
Dude i love your edition. this is something else
Great mod too btw
Soo we got Leeroy...
*DS2 Royal soldier armor when? gib gib gib*
Also, do we have the old whip too? Fragile AF but pwn any undead it pokes at.
Loyce too! Does it have the greatsword?
*ROLL TO STEAM, SLAPPING IT WITH MY CREDIT CARD. DS3 PLZ NOAW*
(I got 2 and 3 on xbox but not PC :( )
You're lucky that the Jerma reference overrides my annoyance at the DS2 bayud circlejerk.
Enjoy all the data I just made useless
>you can larp as the penetrator and actually do damage with the penetrator sword now
and to think, it only took a decade
