If I remember correctly the coffin under rosaria's bed can be broken, I remember finding it some years ago after looking for places you can walk through and not fall through the floor. Not by normal means can you break it that is, you have to do special somethings. A lot of objects in the game can be broken this way actually, that are never possible in the game normally. Like cutting down trees.

So Power Within's red mist, tears of denial's small flame, even the auras of being attacked with elemental damage like the small shocks of lightning! If you want to push it to the max, I will also allow weapon buffs and objects around your body like soul masses

I always interpreted the lower part of the bed of chaos (the wood part) to be what the witch of Izalith turned into, and the flame behind her sort of 'mounting' her, ergo coitus which results in the birth of demons (symbolically at least).
I guess the chest detail lends credence to Rosaria really being Gwynevere from DS1 just reborn, since the only two characters in all of DS history with a chest under their bed/chair/throne/etc would be Gwynevere and then Rosaria two games later. Its almost like that was the one final clarifying hint that Gwynevere did run from her past and rebirth herself as Rosaria. I'd say this is pretty useful data after all!
