    Surface Pro 11 has the versatility of using bluetooth keyboard or mouse or the signature surface keyboards.. also using a stylus for taking notes is another key feature of using the pro.. they got rid of the stylus support on the laptop.. plus way easier to upgrade ssd.. lots of reasons to stick with the surface pro in my opinion

      @@christianr.5868I agree! The slim pen 2 and Surface Pro 9 is my daily driver from art (drawing apps) to study (onenote and ink-to-maths) to workflows, so and everything in between. The only problem is 4 hours max battery which us pretty much resolved in Surface pro 11. So i guess I will be getting one (will wait for the 5G version hopefully this fall though). One thing I will definitely recommend, for always optimal performance, speed and snappiness. Don't postpone the updates and restart (reboot) every few days or at least once a week.

    Another negative with the surface pro to think about is the new wireless keyboard doesn't have a replaceable battery. So when the keyboard battery eventually stops charging you will have to throw it away. $400 is a lot of money for a disposable keyboard. And yes I realize you can just buy the old style surface keyboard but you don't get the same functionality with the old keyboard that you would get with the newer one.

    • @NeKa..
      @NeKa.. 3 месяца назад

      It will probably be 5-7 years on that you'll even need a replacement battery. It doesn't make sense add space/provision for a feature that is 95% unlikely in next 5+ years. I must say I didn't have any such problem with any surface accessory dropping charge or needing battery replacement in my last 4-5 years that I've been using Surface devices. But, I understand your concern because my iPhones have been dropping charge at about 20% per hour after it's first year or so, and the annoyance is real.

    • @andyH_England
      @andyH_England 3 месяца назад +1

      I understand that they test them to last the length of a laptop life which is around seven yers. They probably add headroom on top, so I cannot see this as an issue and by then you could recycle it and buy a secondhand one cheaply to replace that one.

    Do you believe these new snapdragon X chip laptops could be the macbook's M series chip killer? (M1 Macbook Air in this case since is the one I was considering since Windows laptops were always intel or AMD and was slow still) opinions? M series vs Snapdragon.
    Also, I wanna get the laptop with better performance, better battery and that can edit and export 4k video and edit photos + a lot of multi tasking without thermal throttling and lagging/freezing and play simple games.

    Use case for me on the SP vs SL is desk space. I use my setup at the desk with an external keyboard and mouse more than I do as a laptop. So that is a benefit of the sp. However, I love to start my mornings in my chair (where I am typing now) and go through emails and do some light prep work, and I sure love my M1 mbp for that. Would love that feel of the Surface Laptop in place of that. So still a debate for me, but just thought I would throw out a use case for the Surface Pro.

    The cheapest model is the one that actually makes sense, especially for people in Europe. I spent a lot of time analyzing it, and also ordered the cheapest model. The upgrades are very costly, and it costs an outrageous amount of money to get the 32GB RAM variant, which is basically the only meaningful configuration change. And for that outrageous amount of money (2500 EUR here), you don't get any other upgrades, no OLED screen, no higher tear CPU, nothing. Not to mention that it still remains an experimental hardware platform at best. Finally, in the 13 inch variant the Plus and Elite CPU supposedly performs similarly due to thermal constraints. Just get the cheapest, and replace the crappy SSD with a 2TB one. Then, if there is a better version later, or Intel Meteor Lake refresh or Lunar Lake or AMD Strix Point turns out to be amazing, you lose much less.

    Windows can have the best upgrade of its hardware but still fall behind in the software development.
    Mac OS just feel so polished and smooth because of how they handle their UI are using GPU acceleration and not 2D rendering

      HP DELL MSI they are not full on laptop sellers ( AMD close to make their own Laptop fully - sadly Windows 11 is not AMD own OS
      sadly Apple won in laptop side as none of their Parts are from intel amd even MSI
      I would buy a macbook pro but my goal is to get one new when the M4 comes out because M3 becoming old

    Game changing in what context? ARM beats itself to death running x86 and quickly throttles with gpu operations. Get a lower cost Zenbook 14 with 155U and call it a day. Even better battery life and no x86 issues. Also works better for emulation. You are using emulators that are made for x86 and THEN being emulated by ARM.
