Level 8 for me. This battlepass is grindy as hell.
I love how they start with a simple challenge, and then it quickly becomes "how far can we possibly push this thing?"

That is how me and my friend find glitches in games like this. Literally my favorite pass time in games.

Even if you can't shoot grenades that were thrown, you can shoot a dropped grenade from a dead body. Also you can get a medal called Remote Detonation from this.
🤔 Does the explosion from other grenades affect the ones dropped from a dead body, like in ce? 😂
@@TaimatCR pretty positive that grenades do not blow up other grenades that are laying on the ground. You can, however: detonate grenades by shooting them (even when they are on weapon pads still), I noticed that I accidentally triggered the dynamo grenades on the weapon pad when I dropped the drop wall right on top of it, the ravager's charge shot that spits out fire detonates grenades and I think it detonates player thrown grenades as I have gotten grenade kills after, I presume, the person standing in the fire tried to throw a grenade.
The thing about the grenades though is I believe they may have to be shot multiple times in rapid succession to blow up
Michael Kaleita I discovered you can’t blow up grenades on weapon pads with the warthog turret after spending like 5 minutes trying to line up the shot and time it right, only for it to just spark and ricochet off the nades loll
@@milesendebrock373 Only precision weapons like the Battle Rifle, Sidekick, or Sniper Rifle can blow up idle grenades
As for grenades blowing up other grenades (aka "chain reactions"), as Taimat asked, that was usually a campaign only thing

Back in the day, original Halo 2 days, the bridge mission, I would mess around for hours jumping on the pelican and glitch out of the map and explore for hours...so much fun as a kid, I called it Mario World for its simplistic paper like appearance.
So cool. Would have loved to do that.
My friend and I would break H2, 3 and Reach every Friday. Especially Sandtrap. We’d also find exploits in Skyrim. Good times. Good memories.

i was in a clan ( there was a friends list and a clan list ) that did nothing other then glithc , we wood break out of most all the multiplayer maps using the rocket/sword glithc , was super fun to mess around on the outside.
I remember my friends and I disabling the guardians in Halo 3's Sandtrap map by spawning in too many mines, then exploring the map's outskirts on warthogs. Good times.
pelicans have hit points in this game, so when you guys were skewering the vehicles it must have "killed" the pelican disabling any scripting making whatever vehicle it dropped off still count as on the pelican making it invincible
More then likely it was the act of pushing it off of its pathed axis, making the if/then loop break for entering and leaving the map. With that state not clearing, the the leave animation doesn’t trigger.
@@ShadorianPrince don't forget he destroyed the vehicles before they were fully dropped which i think messed with the script
@@ShadorianPrince It's very plausible this is the reason or very near it. It's definitely to do with altering the position of the Pelican.
I've seen similar behaviour in other gameobjects in my projects where if you set something to do this VERY specifik thing, something then alters the trajectory or position it screws up the whole script.
I doubt they'd accidentally make Pelicans destructible. It's a whole process in itself to make something be destructible.
and shooting the Vehicle before it drops doesn't do shit either. You can drive them fine unless you hit them after release.

Ive shot a grenade before and got the "Remote Detonation" medal recently where you kill an enemy by shooting a grenade
thats a grenade on the ground though not thrown

@@RabidXCpanda It definitely was not on the ground because I was on behemoth and shot from range at an enemy where the middle spires on each side are, maybe I shot the plasma grenades on the pickup pad or shot the grenade in his hand not sure but there was no way I shot a grenade on the ground when he was head peeking me

You absolutely can blow up grenades mid air. It must be a bug or something else going on. There is even a medal for it and a message in the loading screen saying you can do it headed "Don't tell me the odds"
huh, that is odd. I was very surprised when it didn't work... We'll have to investigate further.

I've got the medal for it 2 or 3 times now. I know you can even detonate the grenades that are dropped from a player dying as I've don't that for the Remote Detonation medal.
Discovered this due to some really strange lag: Spam Ravager trying to get it to shoot, made noise but nothing came out, panicked and threw grenade. Moment the grenade spawned the ravager shots appeared in the exact same spot, detonating the grenade in my face and letting me get headshot by a commando.
You can still shoot grenades lying on the ground from corpses. There's actually a medal for it

I shot a grenade out of the air with a sidekick yesterday. I can confirm a sidekick does indeed blow up grenades midair of them being thrown.
Yeah i have done it with the sidekick. I blew up a warthog full of players doing it hahaha.
yup there is a medal called Remote Detonation Kill an enemy by shooting a grenade. I did it once. Pretty sure that the myth should be confirmed

Was it a plasma grenade, I'm pretty sure that's the only type of grenade I've seen able to blow up from shooting it

Myth: you can bounce a spike from the skewer more than once using the deflector power up
id love to see a chain of team mates moving a skewer across the map to take out an enemy!

I could honestly see some modifications to make the skewers heat seeking and then rely on the repulsor timing to deflect it back before you die. If you die -1 point. You both start with 10 points
You can be killed by your own skewer, me and my buddy tested it that if someone repulses your skewer they can send it back and kill you.
Also, you have to test shooting the grenades out of the air with all the guns. Like shooting the grenades on their spawn platforms, they can only be blown up by certain weapons
Perhaps it's the man cannon making the skewer lose self-damage then?
@@casualbird7671 I guess the repulsor changes the team of the projectile and the mancannon doesn't

3:56 I’ve been able to do it with a BR and sidekick, three times so far. They were considered “Remote Detonations” though as they each resulted in the thrower dying in the resulting explosions.
Thinking on it, it could be as they were in the hand of the thrower and lacked the “tail trail” of live thrown grenades.
@@hiddendesire3076 remote detonations also are able to happen on grenade spawning pads. Interesting.
Myth: You can use a gravity hammer to deflect a banshee bomb/wasp missiles

It's a pretty strange time again that my best friend and I who have played all the halo games together are sharing halo mythbusters videos again and excited for a new Halo game. 15 years of playing Halo together and it feels like nothing has changed.
Grenades can be detonated mid-air by shooting them. I got a medal for it when I happened to melee someone's grenade and it killed them.

The game and all these interesting interactions or Defend the house pushing the game to its limits and trying many different versions of these myths.

Many scientists have attempted to study this bizarre pairing but have gone back to studying the birds and the bees cause Wasps are terrible and nobody likes them.

You gotta show all the grenade types being tested bro. It's tedious, but it needs to be thoroughly tested and shown to make us believe the myth is truly busted or confirmed

Ronald Jenkees has such a distinct musical style, I knew it was him immediately even though I'm pretty sure I've never heard this specific track. Fantastic music. And oh yeah, the Halo stuff is cool too
Myth: you can kill/hurt someone if you use the thruster pack to thrust into them

@@DeliLizard I thought I did this once but I tested today and found the same thing but also I think you can damage peoples shields with repulser if you launch them into walls still not 100% sure on it though
@@normanobed1940 there's a challenge on it, confirmed. You get a medal if you get a repulsor kill called pancake.

Funny little thing I discovered when training: You know how shooting grenades makes them explode? Shooting spike grenades makes them just disappear. They don't explode.

Hell ya throw back to Ronald jenkees! I still catch the old mw2 myth busters when they come up on my feed.
The best way to explain the chopper is that it just keeps momentum. No matter what way it gets bumped around and twisted, it will just keep its velocity in that direction.
Makes me wish you'd tested it reversing or just stunning and then nudging it to see if it would gain speed

Anyone else find it extremely amusing how as soon as the Pelican reached the ground they agreed to go straight for the biggest vehicle they could find to try to ride the Pelican with?

Grenades do blow up when you shoot them. There's even a medal for it, and I have stream vod where I shot frags and disrupters with the skewer and a battle rifle. Must've been one of your game settings.
We play on default settings except for starting weapons and bottomless clip.
I think the pelican destroying vehicles myth is technically confirmed because it seems like they are "destroyed" by them no longer being usable and functionally debris, but 343 likely didn't take that edge case into account and no effects are played showing it has been destroyed while on the pelican.
5:00 - Shoot grenades out of the air. You can. You're just using the wrong weapons.
Forerunner cannons not killing you is a consistent feature from Halo 2. So awesome.
.....on the other hand, thrown grenades being immune to bullets is not an unwelcome change, curious to see what plays it leads to.
