Repulsing a scorpion projectile is like when Emile said "I'm ready, how about you?" because you take damage from it but you also damage the tank. That's pretty neat.

it makes at least a little more sense than having it fly backwards, a tank shell travels at speeds of over 1km/s . there is no way a shell is going that fast backwards without being flattened and atomized
They have the undying mode on, so idk if it'll actually kill you or actually just do no damage but a glitch that he's taking damage
@@thequietman9820 It does kill you, there is another video in RUclips that confirms it without the deathless mode
It’s definitely less of a “No u” and more of a “You too” to the scorpion. They didn’t show it the driver actually took damage or not though

With latency issues, you guys could probably get a lot better timing using the in game timer. ie- shoot this scorpion at 3:05 on the game timer

For that plausible myth with the skewers why not do the inverse of what u guys normally did. Ie: Have one skewer and 11 enemies with repulsers to maximise the chances?

A couple of these are interesting, like the Power Seeds, but stuff like grenades and rockets is "Myth: Can the Repulsor do what it was designed to do?"
The rockets making more bounces through explosions was pretty cool tho
The power seed interaction is EASILY the most OP strat in that game mode. As long as you're one of the first people to the stash, you can bounce them ALL half way back to your base before the other team has time to stop you.
Imagine a custom game of ping pong with fusion coils
It's a real shame that there is no option in there for unlimited equipment usage.

i was thinking volleyball with Stickies and repulsors and dodgeball with repulsors and rockets.

Disappointed that the repulsor didn't make it into the campaign .
I'd have preferred dpad right to cycle to next equipment and dpad left to cycle to next grenade rather than the menu system they implemented which I find a bit annoying and obviously it's limiting to equipments
yeah it's a shame, I'd have loved to have seen what sort of upgrades it would have had too
Just imagine replacing the campaign drop wall with a souped-up repulsor... We might have actually had a reason to not use grapple for everything!

Yeah they really wanted the grapple to be the star of the show,
I was thinking that rather than cloaking, the thruster pack should have given an enhanced melee instead of the grapple (similar to halo 5 charge) and it would have been really cool,
And as you say, using the repulsor for a bit of mobility instead of grapple would have been fun too!
@@badubiyum the drop wall can be absolutely busted though. Use it to cover your flanks or as extended cover that you can shoot through.
@@randomstuff508in theory, yeah, but in practice I've only ever found that useful when I have a team of power weapon marines to protect in non-vehicular situations. Otherwise I feel more comfortable just Spider-Man-ing my way out of a bad situation!
Myth: if you repulser someone's rocket to destroy a different eniemies vehicle the rocket guy gets a betrayal
While it’s a cool myth, it’s deffo busted since repulsed rockets/grenades automatically become “yours” after you bounce it back. It’s why you get kill credit for reflecting them in the first place. By your logic, every kill with a repulsed projectile would count as a suicide instead.
Given the fact that repulsed threat sensors even become yours, I think it’s safe to say they thought of essentially everything when coding how you gain ownership of anything being repulsed.
What d0nk said is pretty accurate, I'd even go as far as saying it spawns a new projectile for many weapons, just looking at the various behaviour after being repulsed.
I honestly thought the repulsor was kind of dumb at first but after thinking outside the box for all its uses it's probably my favorite equipment piece now.
When forge comes out, I could see people making tennis courts where you pass a plasma grenade back and forth using repulsors
I was thinking the same thing but with the skull since it is a bit heavier it wouldn't fly as far and it's easier to see

Myth: you can kill any hijacked enemy by hijacking near a wall with them warping in the wall. I killed a boss that had full health in the campaign on legendary doing this
Myth: could you repulse a plasma grenade if it gets stuck to the repulser on your arm
If you are stuck anywhere, you can repulse it off
Potential myth: you can grapple onto a rocket or a scorpion missile
Not sure how it is in Infinite but in previous games the scorpion missiles are just beams
@@IvoryRune I would guess its a regular projectile because they were able to deflect it in this video. But perhaps the scorpion round being a beam would explain why repulsor guy took damage too?

One of the best movement tricks not a lot of people seem to realise is to fire the repulse downward when jumping to superjump. Can get you to some really high chokepoints super quickly and help cross larger gaps too. Also great to surprise someone that thinks they have the drop on you with motion tracker, for them to peek a corner expecting to see someone while you're 15ft in the air.

There is a shortcut into the base on the desert ctf map that uses this, it's great

I was thrown for loop when I heard Red Lemonade start playing, good song choice.
Okay, here's my pitch. I call it Volley Blast.
You create a custom game where everyone has infinite repulsors.
Two teams are separated by a gap but the only platform you can stand on is destroyable.
The game starts with a wraith shot or sticky grenade and the teams have to reflect the wraith shot to destroy the other teams ground.
Infinite Equipment isn’t an option.
I wish they had included it in the campaign 😔 would've made for soooo many fun moments
I can't wait until Halo tennis is a thing in forge. I can think of a handful of ways I could make a minigame out of repulsors and grenades.
I have a few clips of me throwing a plasma grenade at someone, only for them to use the repulsor to uno reverse it back to me. The interactions in this game are so cool.

Repulsors can be used for movement too. Repulsing the floor right after a jump boosts u 2-3x normal jump height, and u can repulse walls to the same effect as thrusters, except u can keep the momentum a bit more easily. Great against energy swords, will prevent instadeath from grav hammer but the shockwave will still kill u in 2 swings.
i love the repulsor. nothing like shattering your enemy's bones against a wall or pushing them off a ledge.

Well apart from hijacking a wasp or banshee with a grapple
343 should really change it so that 1) you can consistently deflect skewers if you get the timing right, and 2) deflecting a tank shot doesn't have a chance to kill you. Either you deflected it or you didn't, it doesn't make sense for deflecting it to kill you as well.
I suspect it's a latency/netcode issue. since the projectile moves so fast, the server thinks it hit you before it realizes you repulsed it so it does both. or something like that.
I've seen a dude deflect a tank shot into a tank before

What about repulsing a Banshee bomb? I feel it would be like the Wraith since it's just a glob of plasma but smaller.

Repulsing the Scorpion Tank Shell and almost dying is like when Master Chief deflected a Missle in The Fall of Reach and almost died.

I can't wait for forge, just imagine a "baseball" game with Grapple, Repulsors, and Gravity Hammers
Someone needs to make baseball once Forge is available.
Also, the power seeds have a nice trick where if you toss it and then repulsor it, you will send it further. On a few occasions I've sent seeds from the ground level in front of the bases on Fragmentation up to the main deck for storage this way.

You KNOW when Forge comes out, people are going to make a custom game of Repulsor Volleyball
I'm just thinking of all the possibilities that could be created with custom games using the Repulsor, for example, a volleyball type variant (akin to these dudes playing with the plasma grenade back and forth).

Can you imagine a later Halo Infinite Campaign (whether as Chief or another Spartan/Sword) having different Equipment, and instead stull like the Drop Wall, they get low cooldown Repulsor with some neat gimmicks?

Imagine being a tank rolling up on a group pf enemies and you kill all but one and he has no shield and you aim at him and he just stands there when you fire and he just reflects it back at you killing you and your just like “wut doe fuuuuuuuuuuuu”

I actually just managed to repulse a skewer shot. I'm gonna upload the video in a few minutes! It was definitely repulsed as the Skewer shot was reversed i.e. heading TOWARDS the person who fired it at me.
For the myth at 3:35, I think you guys should try deflecting downwards and try to kill the spartans who are throwing.
Needs to be a game mode where teammates toss a grenade back and forth between eachother and when it hits the ground it goes nuclear. Each pass back to you counts as a point.

People love the grapplehook which is cool and all but i seriously love the repulsor, have used to get people off the map etc
Instead of one of you guys counting down you should use the in game timer/match timer its a lot easier eg. fire at 1:20 because there is little to no delay between each others timers. I hope you see this because it will help with future myths.

I could see a custom forge map like tennis where there’s a single plasma grenade that swaps between teams after death and everyone has repulsers with the smallest cracks on each enemy court side that has fusion coils underneath so if the grenade touches the floor the that team would die and the other team would get a point

The Scorpion interaction is fascinating, especially since it looked like the tank didn't take damage when the shot was reflected? I know video game weapons often function strangely from a code perspective so I'm extremely curious what the reason for that might be. Does the Scorpion actually fire two shots, one that does impact damage and one that causes an explosion? Is the visual for the tank shot desynced/separated from the object the game engine uses for the shot? I'm fascinated by that interaction.
scorpion shot is actually veeeeery fast, so animations are so slow it looks like tank takes damage defore firing.

Been using the repulsor for the seeds for a little while now then just throw the one further from the base toward the base 1 at a time

When repulsing projectiles, I've found that if I can maintain crosshairs on an enemy and the repulse will launch accurately at what I'm aiming at.
Idea: "Repulsor Tennis" is now a game mode that can be made in Forge
