I absolutely love my purple Sure Grip Boardwalks! There are not very many reviews out there so I’m glad you did one. Just wanted to add a few things that you mentioned in your review: - Boardwalks come with nylon plates - they come in 6 different colors - recommend going 1 size down, I wear 10W/8M and I ordered a size 9W and mine are perfect - gap under front part of toe is normal - to soften the ankle portion of the boot, I recommend heating with a blow drier then put on a thick pair of socks and put the boots on. After they are on, do some ankle stretches with them on for a few minutes
The Boardwalks are both glued and stitched at the bottom. Should be a pretty good pair you got there. I love the wheels, I have the Sure Grip Glitter Pink wheels and LOVE them... ♡
Really enjoyed your review. Please be careful when you have your husband adjust your skates. Make sure you folks watch a video or 2 to be sure you all know how to properly do the various adjustments. Maybe he already knows about skates specifically, but I would hate for you to get hurt because skate adjustments aren’t something to try without knowing what your doing. The trucks might also need to be loosened a bit as well so you have a tiny bit of lateral flex- not much for now. They really are pretty. I hope you have a lot of fun! Be safe!
Don’t heat them up! They’ll feel better to wear over time. There’s also a lot of helpful ankle exercises you can do while wearing them that’ll break them in AND help you strengthen your ankles!
This skate is lovely! However, If you need more ankle support this may not be for you. I tried these on and like zero padding in the ankle = flexible, but as a newbie not for me. If this helps anyone in Sure Grip brand, my sneaker is size 6.5 womens US and in sure grip mens I am a size 6. I do technically fit in mens size 5 but my toes were cramped!! just FYI if you area. half size be srue to try both sizes on. I ended up with Sure GripFames as I needed more ankle support. Love my fames but I did change out the stock wheels for in rink . The stock for fames was 95a Fame artistic, I switched to 98a
Thanks for the review they look beautiful!! Does anyone know if these skates would be good for wide feet? I’m having so much trouble finding comfortable skates
I don’t see these being suitable for wide feet. I am a size B in width and a U.S. size 10.5 in ladies shoes. These skates are sold in U.S. men sizes, so I purchased a side 9. They fit perfectly with just a little extra room in the toe/box. However they are not particularly wide. Hope this helps.

The plate is nylon, not plastic. And they are excellent quality. I’ve had mine for 5;years and they are still going strong.
Yes the gap is normal 🥰
theyre so pretty!! i'm going to get these as an upgrade from the impalas
Do they have the same maneuverability as the impalas or are they stiff?
"I ran over some worms!' hahahahahaha Hilarious! Your skates are so cute! Love the color! :)
Oh I just got the Tan ones for xmas! I have the Sure Grip Golden Hour Fame’s but they’re nylon not suede so I wonder how the break in time will be!

Can I add penny trucks and slide blocks to the nylon plate for park skating or would that be too hard on the plate??

Is the color seabreeze blue?
I would best describe the color as a true turquoise.
Are they confortable whitout a soft sponge in the boot?
They are comfortable on my feet with a soft sponge.
I have very narrow feet do you think they will be good for me ?
Don't know how timely this is but sure grip is known to have a wider than normal boot
Were the plastic trucks sturdy
So far they have held up, however I don’t have many miles on them yet.
Blow jobber heat! 🤣
