Horik was worse than Borg. Can't understand why Ragnar was more mad at Borg. He gave him the blood eagle, but an easy death to Horik. Also, Borg's betrayal was because of Horik.
Borg went to Valhalla, Horik did not. Blood eagle was an act of honour, more than an act of punishment. Let's say Ragnar respected Borg far more than Horik.
Why would they give King Aelle the blood eagle if it was about honor?

Ragnar Also wanted to prove to All Northmen, That there Can be Peace with King Ecbert.
But King Horik ONLY Wanted to Fight, He despised Peace with the English King, Despite Ragnar's Efforts, And Horik Even Framed All the Northmen of Attacking King Ecberts' Son after Ragnar Ensured a Peace Meeting. Giving K8ng Ecbert the Idea that Ragnar was Also behind it, As Ecbert Only Delt with Ragnar through his Messangers, Who were Often killed by Horik.
Things like these Are what Destroyed ALL Possibilities for Peace between their Lands.
And Broke Ragnar's Dream of Settling his People On Prosperous Farms.
Borg Directly Took Ragnar's Influence Away from the Events of England, Causing more Chaos.
Now, With that being Said, Ragnar Also Bloodeagled Borg, To Show Allies Like Horik, What Happens to Traitors.
After That, Horik Started to Fear Ragnar.
So he Knew he had to think of a way to kill Ragnar.
Which Obviously Failed due to those Loyal to Ragnar.
Yeah I didn't trust Horik after he dragged Ragnar into his drauma. I knew he was a man not to be trusted.
I’ve seen several movies and series with these same characters and same actors, but the actors played different characters in each movie or series. They’re all so good but I sometimes can’t keep straight which characters they’re playing in the moment. 🤦♀️😂

His only ulterior motive was that he needed help raiding England. He never had any aspirations of leadership. He never wanted to usurp the king. He only did that to save the lives of his family and himself.
